Who's backstory did you like more: Ushijima or Satori?
Satori!! I love that "creepiness out of nowhere", is awesome 😃
Both. But I'm leaning more towards Ushiwaka because he's one of my favorite characters. This just shows what a great player he is... an ace that instills confidence to his teammates and can always be depended on in any situation.

yeah! i really appreciate how Ushijima's dad had a healthy approach where he would "just be happy" if Ushijima would shown any interest in volleyball. I also like how this ace his father described was what inspired ushijima, that's who he wanted to be, someone similar to what his father found reliable
I love the Ushiwaka appreciation! 🥰 He is blunt and straight to the point but it's not because he is cocky or an asshole but because he knows he's one of the best and strives to be someone that his teammates can always depend on.

Tendou is one of my fave players and characters, like I like almost all characters but he's at the top with my other faves.
His creepy song was stuck in my head for quite a while after hearing it the first time.
Things are getting tense.... losing Tsukishima now is critical
Honestly Ushijima in this episode is my favorite character going off in all of Haikyu
A final match to 15 points is always hella hella stressful. It's over before you know it 😱The most common penalties in volleyball probably have to do with serving: stepping over the service line, serving out of bounds, serving short, serving out of order. But also ball handling: double hit (same player touches the ball twice in a row), carrying, lifting. And then common for blockers is reaching over the net before the opposing team gets 3 touches or center-line violations where the player's foot crosses the line under the net to the other team's side. In all of these cases, the opposing team gets the point and possession of the ball.

Another great episode. The backstories in Haikyuu are so efficient with giving us enough info to get intrigued, change our perspective, or care even more about a character :) By the way Furudate's first serialisation in Shounen Jump was the horror/phycological thriller 'Kiben Gakuha, Yotsuya-senpai no Kaidan'. It's fun to see the light horror influences in Haikyuu like Kageyama's 'demon' smiles, Hinata's yandere eyes for volleyball, and Tendo generally channelling Hisoka.
