"Nebulus cemented in my mind the importance of delivering titles which made players think, 'Wow, I've never seen anything like that before!'
I remember Julian Rignall strolling up to our stand at an exhibition and picking up the joystick for Nebulus. As he nudged it, the tower rotated, and he immediately leaned forward, wide-eyed, fixated on the screen. I smiled to myself and thought, 'Sold'!"

I'm crying. I'm crying with emotion, so many beautiful memories associated with this game, how many hours my dad and I played, we laughed and cried when we didn't succeed. Those were the good times of the Commodore 64. The only problem was loading the game from a cassette, because you had to adjust the heads in the tape recorder, and even that didn't always help. Oh, beautiful memories.

One of my favourite titles of the 8bit era.. I wish i knew more of the back story of this game, always wondered if the author (John Phillips ) designed this as a game or did the game grow out of out a tech demo effect. Either way it's the very definition innovating within your hardware limits.

This was a single load game, those 64 kbits must have been already full to the point of saturation for a proper ending sequence to be added.

I just love the games on the C64. This was one of my favorites along with Blue Max, Bards Tale III, Space Taxi, H:E:R:O, Fort Apocalypse, Pirates. Graphics is not everything and still many games from the 8 bits have far better gameplay than games now days.
