Aiiii don't know... In a way he is kinda legend for the wrong reasons. I mean he just melted down a few years ago like no other. I've never seen an ace type pitcher suddenly go so bad in the NPB. At one game he was so out of control he almost killed the whole opposite lineup until the manager pulled him before he actually killed someone. And sent straight to the minors for a long long time.
Both of the Japanese pitchers are solid options, however their stuff will likely play below what they've done in Japan at the MLB level. Both worthy of bringing on board, but I would prefer the starter.
This might sound a bit crazy but perhaps if The Mets could somehow workout a deal with lefty hitter Michael Conforto that might solve their lefty power hitting woes this idea of using Vogelbach just doesn't feel good to me
conforto ? lol you dont think theres a reason hes still sitting home with zero offers? he hit 30 homeruns 1 time in his career, hes a 250 lifetime hitter. the mets dont need to test the pool with someone they know cant tread water.

I think the concern wasn't about his numbers stat man it was about his health ... if you want to talk about home runs 2017 -2018 -2019 his home run production was increasing... probably not to your satisfaction but it was increasing... he was having a great season in 2020 but it was cut short due to the pandemic... he was injured in 2021 so if you're happy with guys like Daniel Vogelbach than good for you... Scott Boras is the problem trying to cash in with Conforto didn't work... doesn't mean Conforto can't produce or work out something with the Mets...
