no dude, those demons are Malphas and Phantasmaraneae and they've been around since the first Bayonetta game. while they are references to griffin and phantom, they aren't the same.
Gonna be honest, I'm kind of mad at them for this, I thought this was Astral Chain 2. I went back and forth between that and Bayo 3, it was messing with me so bad!
Maybe i’m too far gone in terms of degeneracy, but the lack of Bayo not getting more naked when she uses magic initially disappointed me. At first I thought maybe it was censorship for censorship’s sake, but then it hit me: since Bayo is summoning massive “Climax” level demons as part of controllable gameplay now, you’d have a fully nude Bayonetta streaking around onscreen with no ability for the devs to cover up her naughty bits. I realized then that it’s pretty necessary that her summons work a little different to avoid full nudity in a Nintendo game. Lol
she could be somewhat covered with her hair making circles around her body, tbh i won't be surprised if there's a bayo1&2 outfit with that "feature", they might just be toning down the main design, gotta wait till release.

im gonna guess they absolutely will still have nearly nude climax scenes, but for actual bossfights and not for minibosses or other encounters.
