After marriage wife is next of kin . Everywhere in the world and legally also.
Everywhere parents only raise them in all countries. They don't throw them in the streets .
Wives take risk of marrying a person who have high risk of dying. Hence his money left is divided among his heirs according the will.
If smriti would have died anushumann would have got the benefits. Not her parents.
Here parents got 65 lakhs and wife got 85 lakhs plus pension + job + medal.
In eyes of adulthood once man become a husband he belongs to wife.
But in world of mom that man is child needing her mothering. Making him man child.

At ANY and EVERY POSTHUMOUS BRAVERY AWARD CEREMONY, be it INSIDE a building or OUTSIDE, EVERYONE should be standing when the next of kin stand up to walk to receive the award.
The next of kin should proceed to take their place ALONGSIDE THE PRESIDENT who should ALSO BE STANDING.
EVERYONE IN ATTENDANCE should REMAIN STANDING when the citation is being read, including THE PRESIDENT.
