Thanks for sharing this review! How do you find the wheelbase on the Carver x Winkowski? I've been looking at the same setup to learn bowl and trasition riding. However, at 6'0, 215lbs I dont know if the Winkowski deck with CX trucks will adequately accommodate my size and stance or whether it would be too skittish.
Do you surfskate currently? I think this set up would work well for you. Carver CX trucks and other surfskate trucks take a bit getting used to if you are transitioning from regular skate trucks to surfskates. Good luck.
It's Carver CX surfskate trucks on the Winkowski deck. "Surfskate front trucks are considered "backwards" because they have a unique design with an additional axis of rotation, allowing for a much wider range of motion compared to standard skateboard trucks, enabling sharp turns and "pumping" motions similar to surfing, where the front truck acts as a pivot point for tight maneuvers, unlike the fixed front truck on a regular skateboard; essentially, the front truck on a surfskate is designed to turn more freely and aggressively than the rear truck, giving it a "backwards" feel in comparison to traditional setups."

A wider deck like that would be sturdier than the thin surfskate decks those trucks typically come in.

The front truck on the winkowski is backwards
