Crowfeather..Well he said he never hated Breezepelt.Nightcloud filled Breezepelt's mind with such things,and he says this during the last battle in The Last Hope. Rainflower plain treated her son like he was a big trash.Clear Sky tried to act like a father,but Thunder rejected him. Lizardstripe was the bad adoptive parent,abusing Brokenstar,both verbally and pushing her kits to abuse him also. I don't know if Lizardstripe ever regrets pushing that kit into a blood thirsty cat.

I know this is late but its natural for a mother the neglect her kit after an injury that could kill it because as Melody said she didn't want to get attached to him for in case he died now I have seen a lot of people say " SHE SLOUD GO TO THE DARK FOREST " BUUUUT after she died she realized his destiny would take place of him become the leader and she again realized that she should have never treated him the way she did so after CrookedStar died she said she was sorry and that she loved him the whole time basically and she never wanted to ignore him it practically broke her heart to do that to her mate and child. ( This is only my opinion so yee don't screem at mee )

When I read Crookedstars promise, I called him Stormkit, Stormpaw and later Stormstar. Meaning I refuse to call him the awful name Rainflower gave him.

I have a father OC like this, except he abandoned them. One daughter named PollenKit was like OakKit and the other Kit was named SharpKit, she was missing a leg and her father who was leader, renamed her MissingKit, as in MissingLeg.
You did very well with this. Thumbs up to Oakheart and their father. They need more praise. And hell crookedstar proved everyone wrong. He became leader. I love how they show that disability wont slow a character down. Its amazing. No matter how you look or what disability you have you are still just as beautiful and amazing as anyone on this earth. Nice ! But it seems to me like your characters poses are too ... simple (like they just stand still or sit down in a neutral way) maybe try to add more expressive poses, if you know what I mean ^^' just my opinion though
I know anatomy is hard, I've experienced it myself but it gets better when you use a reference and do a lot of practice, I was not trying to be rude or even to criticize them negatively and I have no doubts they will improve eventually.

Crookedstar's promise was so sad. Her mother changed from supportive to evil real quick after Stormkit/Crookedkit broke his jaw. And Oakkit was still trying to be nice to Crookedkit. Oh that stupid Rainflower, abandoning HER son like that. I felt so bad for Crookedkit, he didn't deserve to be treated like that by his own mother.

Despite rainflower saying that the accident wasn't her fault, and she shouldn't have to deal with it, she never suppressed his actions. She never punished him, or told him he did something wrong, therefore he believed that he wouldn't get in trouble for crossing the river, so the accident WAS her fault. That's why she rejected him

Okay, she serves her clan, she was loyal to everyone. But she was truly awfull and I don't have any words for her.
In Crooked Star's Promise, not a single time in the life of her son, she tried to talk to him. No. It was just... free nastiness. Even when her son became a brave warrior, she did nothing. When Crooked Jaw meet Star Clan to get his nine lifes, his mother don't even show up or give him a life.
Just because, when he was a kit, he hit a rock because he was fleeing from Goose Feather. Maybe Rain Flower would have compassion for her son if she knews that Goose Feather scared him ?...
