- In this video we are going north in Norway with our plant workshop. This journey was intense. A little scary, a little strange but also very powerful.
Places we went to are:
Harstad
Borkenes
Elgsnes
Kautokeino
Enjoy!

Hi MARI AND BENDIK,
thank you for what you do..keep exposing the truth of different cultures..
The silversmith shop was so beautiful..hope you bought a pair of earrings..beautiful work.
The scenes are so beautiful ,even in the cold snowy weather..A joy to see such landscapes.
Great video..get your rest.
God bless y'all..❤😮❤❤
Of all your videos, this one is my favourite. You are two amazing people.
I am so glad you like this one, I was kind of happy with it. It was such a surreal time, those few days up north. Thank you, that is very kind of you.
Thank you for taking me places I will probably never see in person. Beautiful country.
Thank you for following along ♡ I am glad I get to show the places to you, even if its only through the screen
Yay finally I got to see it the same day you posted it! Those drone scenes are wicked!! Thank you for speaking about the Sami people. History repeats itself all around the globe. You bring life back to their existence. Lovely video and I especially loved the end!! ♥️🔥✨
Yay ♡ glad to have you here as always. Thank you for your kind comment. Yes unfortunately indigenous people all over the world face many of the same difficulties 😔. Lots of love to you!
Absolutely breath taking! I love your videos, soo much. ♥️
Thank you so much Jenna
I can highly recommend the movie 'Sameblod' (Sami bood) that tells a tiny part of the "Norwegian-ification" of the Sami people. You musy have seen so much gorgeous pieces of Doudji (the Sami word for crafts) 💕 Fairytale-like was very fitting.
Again thank you for taking us along, Maria & Bendik 💕🙏🏼
Klem 😊
Thank you for the tip Lilli, I will check it out!
Yes there was a lot of sami crafts, and crafts in general, you would like it there I think ♡. Thank you for following along 🥰. Klem
What a beautiful cold life is passing.
Thank you for the beautiful video of the north and also for visiting Juhl Kautokeino. I have always wanted to go there. Hopefully, one day I will. 😊
Thank you for watching♡ I truly hope you will get to go there, it was an experience!
I really enjoyed this bigger video and, man, this was filled with amazing shots!!! I love Norway 🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴
I am so glad you enjoyed it Afonso, and thank you so much :-)
This is my stomping ground. Velkommen til Harstad, Vågsfjodens perle. Og Elgsnes, Esencia og hele resten. In3sangt å høre dine kosmopolitiske betrakninger om den nordlige landsdel.
Liker Harstad veldig godt! Kosmopolitisk? Vet ikke helt hva du sikter til.
Wow! Fantastic footage! The oystercatchers at 13:05 …! 🤩
Thanks for sharing the beauty and journey of your travels!
my pleasure
Så flott og interessant film fra det fjerne nord!
Takk mor 😊
Beautiful video! Thank you for sharing these pieces of life and landscape. I'm from France and have no idea how Norway is like, and i'm discoverong some adpect through your poetic images. 💚
Thank you ♡. I am glad my videos can be this little window to another country for you. Thats sometimes the magic of video!
Beautiful video! Thank you!
Thank you too ♡
I am super grateful and enjoying seeing places I probably will never see looked at a map of Norway too try and figure out we’re you were which was fun
I am so glad you enjoyed seeing these places too. Thank you for following along :-)
@@Mariaandtheforest I think I was close your saying you were near the border helped. I’m Country American so I have trouble understanding names of towns ( and I’m old mid century vintage 🙃)thanks again.💕
@@scottiemom7973 Nice! Haha, I understand it might be a bit tricky with me saying it in Norwegian. I have left the names of the places in the description below the video if you wanted to check it out more :-)
Thanks for taking us along…fascinating 💕
Thank you for watching 😊
I understand your struggle with expensive flights 😂 I am from Québec (Canada) and it's less expensive to go to Europe than flying to the North or even across the Canada east to west!! So stupid 🤷♀️ But I love to see your country!!!! I wish to go one day 🥰
Right? Thats even more strange almost since its overseas 😅. Thank you for following along ♡
Så intressant att få vara med lite på er resa - särskilt vad gäller samerna. Wish that we'd had someone like you when I went to school!
I hope you get to rest for a while now!
/Ditte S. 🤓
Det er ekstra hyggelig å få være på reise og så få dele det med deg og andre her, så takk for at du følger med
Great video! Hello from Philippines
Another excellent video Maria. Thank you for taking us on your continuing adventures. Norway certainly is a beautiful country of contrasts.
Thank you Mark! Yes I am surprised myself at how different this country is from one place to the other 😶
also thank you so much for the super thanks, it was not visible before
@@Mariaandtheforest you're most welcome. Actually I'm curious to know how much of it ended up in your pocket; I donated GBP £5, and RUclips deducted £0.83 in tax before sending it to you, and I'm guessing they probably also take their own fee as well before sending the remainder to you.
Good observation, I recieved about 35 NOK which is around 3,5$ I think? So I some of it goes to RUclips but the creators get way more than they get from the ads at least 😊
Thanks @@Mariaandtheforest So, of the GBP £5 I paid, it seems that only around GBP £3 made it into your pocket. Better than ads yes, but a pretty inefficient way of donating I think. Spend it wisely !! Have a good weekend.
Maria, yo shared awesome done!see u around~ ;))
Thank you :)
❤️❤️❤️
♡♡♡♡
Thank you for this beautiful video. Could you please tell us in which hotel did you stay at? More happy travels for you.
Scandic Harstad and Thon hotel Kautokeino :-)
@@Mariaandtheforest Thank you for your quick reply 👍
Excellent video! But what about the buckets?!
Thank you! Haha, I guess it will remain a mystery for now 😆
You are completely wrong, Kautokeino is not north of Harstad. The municipality's southernmost point is much further south than Harstad.
Tromsø and Langnes airport are the main hub in the north and if you ask where the travelers are going. Either they are going north or south. That means Longyearbyen or Stockholm. Kirkenes and Alta are more directly east of Tromsø. In Finnmark, the nearest capital is directly south and that is Helsinki.
Hi, technically I was only saying that we are going to the northernmost county in Norway - Finnmark. But I get what you mean, with Harstad being at 68°47′56″N and Kautokeino being at 69°00′41″N the difference is not that big and I was not aware they were that close!
Thanks for the lesson though, I have never thought about the fact that Helsinki is the closest capital! That is very interesting 😊
@@Mariaandtheforest You were in Vardø in another video. This means that you were almost as far east as St.Petersburg and Cairo. From the airport in Kirkenes, it is much shorter to almost the whole world than Oslo. Who would have thought of that. The flight from Helsinki to Tokyo flies directly over Banak Airport.
@@Mariaandtheforest A fun Quiz question is which city, Oslo or Stockholm, is closest to Denmark.
Oslo is the answer. Outside Sandvika there is a small island called Denmark. In Sweden, Denmark is directly southeast of Uppsala.

love to you kate
