I absolutely love Rachel's version of Wake Me Up. It sort of makes sense why she's acting that way. Not only is she 19 and ambitious, she just went through some major trauma of losing her boyfriend so all of that can prove to be very overwhelming for her especially in decision making. June is played by legendary Oscar winning actress Shirley MacLaine (Terms of Endearment, The Apartment, Irma La Douce) just to name a few.
I am so annoyed that she spent her whole life working for Broadway and never once said she even WANTED to be on TV, and suddenly she's ready to drop Funny Girl? Makes no sense
in Rachel's defense, I think Funny Girl draining her energy had less to do with the show itself and more to do with the whole "you're not meant for anything else." Like if you have something to work toward, you tend to be more energetic, but when you're told you basically are stuck in this position, everything you do will feel like a weight
Montgomery Clift was a very famous actor. Kurt and Blaine would probably be particularly familiar with him as a famous gay man, who unfortunately suffered because of society at the time. I think he was even blackmailed. The accident they reference is a car accident which led to him needing plastic surgery on his face. It was nasty, although impressively you couldn't really see the scars at all.
He was a very talented actor who unfortunately suffered because of the accident. His face didn't look too bad to me honestly but because it's Hollywood, he wasn't getting the help he needed. It's sad that he died an early death. But he still should be remembered as one of the greats in acting.
My belief is that there is an inverse relationship with story and songs. As the story gets worse the songs and performances get better. I don't like the music from the first few seasons because they felt too cutesy, jukebox-y to me. It felt like the performances were more appropriate for the troupe of aspiring-singing-professionals (not kids in the high school auditorium).

Rip Avicii and Liam Payne 😢
Also that duet between Santana and Mercedes was epic.

If you don't know who Shirley MacLaine is, and you like musicals, look her up! ☺️
Plus wonderful movies such as Terms of Endearment and Steel Magnolias.

There are only 20 chapters because it is the worst season.
No
no reason to lie there are less episodes due to Cory's death.
