That was a very good video Matt, lots of good information, really like the way you put your videos together and just a nice length, some other you tubers go on far to long and they get boring, can't wait till the next one
Thanks Peter. Interesting comment actually. Watching it back, there were a few times when I was talking about something in the voiceover when showing something else in the video. I did wonder whether I should do one or the other, even if it made the video a couple of minutes longer... Sounds like I got it right here!

While trying to find helpful do's and don'ts, I stumbled across your channel and have since watched all of your videos and will continue to do so. Thank you for helping inexperienced people like myself gain the knowledge and confidence to start their journey.

For the longest time I felt that it wasn't in my reach because it's such a long and expensive journey. But nothing is impossible with planning. I'm nervous about going to new places but my excitement far exceeds my concerns, especially after seeing so many of your videos. Thanks again for making these videos and I'll be looking forward to future posts!

Really want to visit Alaska, even considering looking at off grid property in Alaska now I’ve managed to get the boss back into airports after 25 years. Non stop Dan did a video about Collecting Points using Alaska air reward program.
Thanks - off-grid in Alaska is pretty hard core!!! Dan has a US citizenship and a large US audience so I'd trust his guidance on a US reward programme!
Thanks for another great video Matt. Its PDX now my local airport, Alaska is a good choice. My one recent experience in their first class was fantastic and I would definitely fly with them again.
@@MattsPlanet by no means. Portland OR has all the major US carriers and in fact has direct flights to LHR and AMS with BA and Delta respectively. A good friend from Letchworth Garden City is flying to visit us and on BA's new direct flight from Heathrow.
I had the same issue when entering the Alaska Airlines lounge in San Francisco with my BA silver card. I was apparently an exotic specimen. Nice lounge.
Cheers Les. I think they are certainly trying to differentiate themselves from the legacy carrier and I think they are succeeding! I am sure you can still have a bad experience on Alaska but they seem to be trying to make the overall experience "better" than their competition. And good luck to them, I say!!!
Glad to see you have had a good experience with Alaska, which I am happy to say is the norm. I hope you will have a chance to visit the flagship lounge in Seattle in the future. While the menu selection is unchanged, the environment in which you are snacking on bagels and snack mix is certainly worth while. Excellent views, lots of room to spread out, and an excellent selection of local beers and wines.

Such a shame that you didn't get the chance to see the SEA lounge - from watching some other RUclips videos about it, it looks to be a fairly decent lounge (unsurprising, given it's their "home" lounge). It's Alaska Airlines, not Alaskan Airlines. . . although it did originate as an Alaskan airline. That's like saying Britain Airways?
