- Slither was created over almost a year by many talented artists, portraying the story of Sora and Icicle- a dragon who wants revenge on the one that killed her sister, and a dragon who would do anything to get her own brother back.
Please note the disclaimer at the start of the video. I was informed far into the map that this song was not intended to be used in this way. I made the decision to keep the map going, as we were too far in to turn back but I have made sure to ask participants to remain respectful, and I do urge everybody watching to do the same. This isn't just a song about fantasy dragons, it's a song about the ab**e the singer of this band experienced, and would hold a sentimental value to her and many other people.

AAA I MISSED THE PREMIERE
This was SO FUN to be part of! This whole MAP turned out so awesome!! Everyone did an amazing job in this MAP and I love how well it goes together!!
This is hands down one of the most unique and stylistic MAPs I’ve ever seen - I’m in sheer awe after seeing everyone’s work finally fixed together, thank you for pushing me so hard to finish, I’m so happy I got to be a part of this project
This is so cool, I love the colors!
Something that I like is the portrayal of Sora as an aggressive force. It's easy to forget how little it took for her to employ extreme measures that would've caused collateral damage even if she succeeded
This is such an amazing project and definitely one of my top picks for most creative map concepts. I came onto this MAP as a backup and I'm so glad I was able to take a part later on because it really pushed me to work with designs that are outside of the norm. Which is good!! I got chills watching everyone's parts together; everyone did such a beautiful job and it turned out amazing. In general, I just loved the abstract idea of it all, something so far outside what we normally see in the WoF community, and how it balanced between Sora and Icicle without blatantly painting one of them as the villain or hero. It's all wonderful, thank you for organizing this project and having me on-board!
i dont understand. why didnt youtube recommend this to me? i randomly remembered this was a thing and searched it up but youtube never showed it to me? and come on, youtube should know i love wings of fire and synthwave. this is a perfect combination of both

This was just awesome and surreal to see put together! The ideas present in this MAP were just amazing, especially the theme. The palettes and designs are so experimental and were a fun challenge. Thank you so much for letting me participate!

This is absolutely incredible! Your depiction of every character was unique and interesting and I love the way you captured the story. It really is about the cycle of abuse, which is why I think it's wrong for either Sora or Icicle to be villainised or treated as a hero (herofied?). This is just yes, all around, and phenomenal work by everyone involved!
This community is literally so creative. This MAP is a prime example of that creativity; incredible job everyone!

this was one of the first wof maps I ever joined and its the second one that’s going to finish. It’s kinda nolstagic looking at my old part really but yeah I can’t wait holy crap!
the music doesn't really sound synthwave (or even remotely vaporwave, that's a completely different music genre.) as it lacks both the 80s synths and that energetic yet melancholic feel.
The animation on the other hand is a totally different story. To put it shortly; its excellent. The work put into it is amazing. This is probably one of (if not) the most aesthetically unique WoF map ever.
I love Black Dresses and I also love how stylized this map is! This is incredible, great job animators!

Okay, this is probably one of the COOLEST projects I have ever had the honor of participating in. The designs and art direction are ABSOLUTELY stunning, when I first found the Map call I couldn’t believe how underrated it was. The designs and colors and style of this Map are incredibly unique and beautiful, and every animator really did them justice.
Seriously, this was SO MUCH fun to watch and I’m so honored to have been able to participate in it! Great job to all of the animators, every part is so smooth and satisfying to watch, AHH INCREDIBLE!
One of my favourite maps that I ever participated in! I’m so glad I got back into the map, the concept and designs are so so aesthetically pleasing, I really have to commend you Ice. There are SO many cool animations and parts here, I’m really glad this map will help bring them into the public conscience. The map is also just….so well done and pretty and emotional??? Like my god I adore the story this map tells, it’s fucking wonderful. You feel the emotions of the characters so strongly and its something that I have to commend the script and the animators for. Thank you so much for letting me participate and choosing my thumbnail entry! ❤️

I love the art style of this map and it defiantly portrays Sora's confusion and hatred for Icicle very well even in the lyrics.
