I've had the Griot's foam cannon for about two months now, and really love it. My gasket did the same thing but after a couple times being clamped on the bottle it seemed to seat and hasn't fallen off since. Definitely seems like the best bang for your buck cannon on the market right now.
Both Griots Foam cannons you can change the fan rotation. You just turn all the way till you hit resistance and then keep turning and it will change vertical and horizontal. MJJC out foams every foam cannon out there, but I choose the Brilliant finish because you can use the metering tips and have auto mix plus it weighs less than a pound, its machined billet aluminum and electroplated as well.
Hey josh, quick info here: at the beginning of the video, you complain about the quick connect plug having a long threaded part with no O-ring. It’s actually better this way, fittings with O-ring are either parallel thread or Npt short, meaning they don’t fully seat one in the other, they need an O-ring to ensure a proper seal. Overtime, they tend to get loose or suffer O-ring failure which causes leaks. On the other side, you have the standard npt thread (which this one is). Npt uses thread sealant like Teflon tape or this red stuff. The seal is way more reliable and better supports pressure. They probably won’t ever get loose on you. It’s harder to tighten at first but it’s higher quality! Great video!
Had my Griots Brilliant foam canon delivered on Saturday for $51 from Amazon. Very happy with performancewhen used with the Craftsman pressure washer you reviewed. Expected the foam would be drier, thanks for testing your aftermarket 1.1’s. Also the TDS of my water is 375-400 unlike tour DI system. It does make a difference! Thanks for anothe great review.

The Griot's metering tips for the Boss fit the weighted ball on the Brilliant Finish too! Grab some from Griot's and you have a really nice self metering/mixing unit for almost $40 less that the Boss. The jar opening is slightly larger than the Boss as well. I have a Boss and love it but this one makes a much better value! You can also use the metering tips on your MJJC weighted ball as well as MTM and Armor All units by just inserting into the hose!
@15:00 foam will always run eventually. if you foam from bottom to top, you use gravity to your advantage. The first layer at the bottom will run off and be replaced by the foam sliding down from the top. This increases dwell time of foam overall.

I have the same foam cannon best one Ive used so far no issues at all! The O-ring has never fallen on me though and I open and close it maybe 5-7 times daily!
Griots foam cannon is sweet and Is lighter but the overall diameter isn’t ideal often tips over when done foaming in an empty bottle, and oh yeah the weighted ball rust and will stain the canister just some cons but overall solid unit. With that being said MJJC takes the throne as of now crazy how present date foam cannons are evolving curious to see if MTM cranks up a new and improved model. Appreciate your content and in depth reviews brotha keep up the hard work 👌🏼🙏🏼
Hey dude! Love your videos but just something that needs a bit of tweaking is your lighting is very washed out on the foam cannon testing on the back of your truck. Where it's white, the foams white and the super bright outside lighting might I suggest to back your truck into the shop a tad and then check your iso settings on your camera. I hope you don't take this as rude but I do enjoy your videos a lot and I feel like you should have more subscriptions than you currently have. 😃
Amazon has Adam’s foam cannon with snub gun combo deal for $98 bucks (snub gun comes with swivel) I want to pick it up but not sure if it’s a NICE DEAL!!! Also, snub gun is a MTM gun.
Have had it for a few months and love it. Works really well with the Ryobi 1600 that Josh uses to test. The next one I suggest for testing by Josh is the Amazon Bravex heavy duty. Just received it this week, and it appears to be a MJJC clone for half the price. Works great with the Ryobi 1600 as well. Would like a review of this one Josh!
I exchanged the BOSS canon for this one based in part on this review. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but comparing the two the BOSS cannon is more substantial and sturdier in some respects. Also, the BOSS bottle is more balanced. However, is the "heavy duty" nature really necessary? Rather than stainless steel, this one is anodized aluminum. The foam control is all plastic, but if your not tough or clumsy it should be fine. If I were a professional detailer, I'd go with the BOSS canon. But as an enthusiast, it might be hard to justify paying double ($100) for the BOSS when this one supposedly performs better.
Nice review. I have the same cannon and also don't think the aeration knob makes much difference in foam thickness... slightly at best. Rotating the nozzle doesn't change the spray pattern much at all, surprisingly...but it works well as is. Still a good cannon for the money, though.

Thats 1/4 you have to crank down really hard. Thats why i prefer the shorter threaded with an oring version from cheaper cannons... How long did it take to rust out the ball at the end of the straw?
The Griot's may not be as good as the MJJC but it has a good price range at about $50 vs the MJJC's $75. To me the only deciding factor would be durability/quality-control. BTW what's up with the pressure washer turning on by itself like on the movie Maximum Overdrive.

Hey Josh, thanks for all the great reviews. I purchased the GG Brilliant Finish cannon and I too thought the supplied 1.1mm valve was a little underperforming. When I compared the (Amazon) “Ridge Washer” brand 1.1mm valve with the one Griot’s supplied I noticed that the length of the orifice “tunnel” (for lack of a better word) on the Ridge Washer valve was much longer. The valve supplied with the GG canon has a shorter section of 1.1mm “tunnel” creating larger space behind the 1.1mm hole allowing water to expand and pressure to drop resulting in slightly wetter foam. Be interesting to know if you see the same in your best performing valves.
i have this foam cannon with a 2500 psi 2.4 gpm pressure washer. i changed out the jet as needed and tried washing my car for the first time with it today and for the first 10 minutes it was working fine and producing amazing foam but after the suds just stopped coming out and it was only shooting out water, does anyone have any idea as the reason to this?

Stick with your Boss cannon. Brilliant finish cheap for a reason. Weighted ball rusts too easily. You can't use the metering tips(hole bigger on ball compared to Boss). You can't turn the fans to horizontal position anymore.
Lucky me ; I just had mine 2 weeks ago , and guess what, the suction tube came out crack and I called amazon , they sent me back other one and let me keep the first one,just order a suction tube from mtm and now I have 2 mjjc foam cannons ! SWEET,,,! What y’all guys say about this? Isn’t it sweet?

Can anyone help me? I bought this Griots model of foam cannon because it was available same day. I do already own another cheap foam cannon and wanted to upgrade. My problem is that the foam cannon does not seem to suck up the solution and I ran the pressure washer for about 3 or more minutes.... the solution does not seem to get suck up. Any ideas on how to fix or should I just straight return it and get the mjjc but then I'll need to wait a couple weeks. Thanks for any help. The tube is not clogged... able to blow air through it quite easily. Also, it does not matter what position I have the valve on the side.... Water just shoots out without any mixing of the soap solution....oh the soap solution does not decrease in volume.... my other cannon has a smaller bottle and just sucks up the solution quickly.

Used the cheapo bottle on the griots, fail. Used the tube from griots to cheapo, works fine. I was spending too much time ruling out components and did not want to further tear down the griots. Simply returning it and will use the cheapo one after i swap in a 1.1 mm aperture.
You should try putting the Purple 🟣 metering tip on the brilliant finish foam cannon steel ball that came included in the GG Boss Foam cannon I saw on another chanel that it dramatically changed the preference of the brilliant finish FC and allegedly outperformed the MJJC pro 2. I happen to have have both Griots foam cannon I just haven't done it my self lol
The Brilliant Finish is designed for mixed soaps. The end of the straw is different and not designed for the metering tips. I guess you could force it in there but im not sure how long it would last

I cant see anything on the white car....... you make good videos but sometime you don't place the camera in the right sport or you use a white car an that makes it harder to see. Your still doing good work.
I think you need to stop giving the MJJC cannon such great reviews, because the price keeps going up on Amazon! The Griots, however, just went down, so now there's more than a $20.00 difference! Should have gotten the MJJC a week ago!!!
This foam cannon sucks!! Weighted ball gets rusted after a couple of uses. The quick connect can easily be stripped if you over torque it. Newer models, you can't turn fan blades to horizontal position. You can't use metering tips anymore since they made the hole on weighted ball bigger. Griot's took shortcuts on this product. Stick with MJJC Pro or Griot's Boss cannon people!

Dude. He's located in California. Getting Griots products here in the US is not an issue. There is stuff you guys have on your side of the pond that we can't get here. It's just they way things are. It doesn't make Griots a crap company. When dealing with shipping/importing chemicals there is all kinds of regulations and restrictions that can make it cost prohibitive. So even if Griots stuff were to be available there it might have a significant markup making it uncompetitive in the market.

Adams cannon with MTM snub for $98 sounds like a smoking deal. I think the snub is usually around $80 by itself. Cannon probably about the same.

Yes, soft or deionized water will make more foam than a regular tap/well water. It's a factor if we want to compare a pro detailer vs a homeowner.

So the boss cannon cost more but is it worth the price over the brilliant finish cannon?

Try adding warm to hot water to the bottle and then add your solution. Has worked for me.

@@imjoshv not true at all. I have the purple metering tip on my brilliant finish foam cannon. It uses the same tube wirh the steel ball on the end as the boss foam cannon.
Griot's caught on to this and they changed hole size on weighted ball. Metering tips not compatible with brilliant finish anymore.
I cant see anything on the white car....... you make good videos but sometime you don't place the camera in the right sport or you use a white car an that makes it harder to see.

This foam cannon sucks!! Weighted ball gets rusted after a couple of uses. The quick connect can easily be stripped if you over torque it. Newer models, you can't turn fan blades to horizontal position. You can't use metering tips anymore since they made the hole on weighted ball bigger. Griot's took shortcuts on this product. Stick with MJJC Pro or Griot's Boss cannon people!

Dude. He's located in California. Getting Griots products here in the US is not an issue. There is stuff you guys have on your side of the pond that we can't get here. It's just they way things are. It doesn't make Griots a crap company. When dealing with shipping/importing chemicals there is all kinds of regulations and restrictions that can make it cost prohibitive. So even if Griots stuff were to be available there it might have a significant markup making it uncompetitive in the market.
Mjjc is far better than griots everybody can see it here it’s a shame griots built great products except for foam cannons
