Yes, the plug has an o ring. You can buy a new plug with the o ring from the dealer. In the video this was a new plug. I have successfully refit and reused the original plug and o ring on other cars.
Hi you may need a Vag diagnostic tool the service/oil change light can be reset on most models go to were the oil level etc is on the dash and click on service. Then you should be able to reset the oil change. But you need the diagnostic tool to reset the inspection light. The tool can do both
You could use one. We do have one in work iv only used it once or twice to do oil if the sump was damaged or something like that. You might not get all the oil out but I'm not 100% sure because some cars makes you can get all the oil out using a extractor. Give it a go
@@murphyslaw2020 i use an extractor on my A4 B8 2010 and it sucks up every drop of oil. i even confirmed it by opening the drain plug after extracting and literally only a few drops came out, so I think it will suck up as much oil as the traditional way
Hi you just need a 32mm socket and wrench I'd recommend use a wobble/Union joint so you can get the right angle with the socket. You can buy slim 32mm sockets for this job I do have one but it quicker just to use the 1/2' socket set. Hopefully that helps if you need more help just ask
@@murphyslaw2020 i have a 2019 A7 and I can tell by the coolant expansion tank's location that it's not a C8. So it's most likely a C7 you have there. The coolant expansion tank is up by the passenger window on both A7 and A6 C8.
@nonamenoname4641 it's a c8 💯 ,the owner had a c7 before it. different interiors etc etc this car has the 2 touch screens. The c7 has pop out screen. The coolant tank maybe different on other engines etc But this a6 late 2019 c8 2.0 tdi
@@murphyslaw2020 Ok i see. Didn't get to the part with the 2 screens. Seems like UK model is vastly different from US model. Mine and my buddy's 2019 A7 and A6 have the same engine bay.
Thank you for the video nonetheless. On my next oil change, I'll do mine myself. Hopefully they should be similar in the undercarriage...i hope... And also hopefully the oil filter is in the same location as in the video lol... Lol

Hallo do we have to put a new plastic cover or can we use the old one?
You can use all the old cover unless they are damaged etc
Thanks mate
Is there any o ring on the drain plug?
If it is, should it be replaced every time?

Great video mate, exactly what I needed. How do I reset the service miles after I finished?

It was vw spec 5w30 oil i can't remember the brand we buy it in 1000L
Rather than drain from the bottom, is there any reason not to use an extractor for people who don't have the means to hoist?

Good video. At what mileage do you service the automatic gearbox.?
I normally do it at about 60,000 km as recommended by the gearbox shop we use
Where you based in Dublin ?
Any video for the gearbox ? 😊
Sorry not at the moment
Hello, how many horsepower, 163 or 204?
I think this car was the higher hp
@ In the A6 C8 2.0 version there are only two power options 163 or 204 mild hybrid, more powerful options are 3.0 TDI
the 25n and the 5 degree angle
TFSI fuel filter available? Can i change?
I'm not sure if you let me know your year and engine I will try look it up
That's not a C8
It's a 2019 a6. The c8 ran from 2019 to 2023 if I recall.
I stand corrected. Let me know if im wrong
