The guy at the end says his master is Dierk. He is a geistmage that appears in some cards flavor text. I believe he may try to rid the chain veil of all the souls and use them for some other purpose.
Glad to see [Friday] Night Lore back up again. Thanks for keeping it up, Seiben! Still trying to work out if the Raven Man is really there or just in Lili"s mind.
I just became a sunscriber today and I love this channel and I cant wait for more. I love mtg and the lore that comes with it. thank yoi Seiben for bringing these videos to me and your fans. I will be waiting for the next piece of lore next week
I got so excited when you said the winner of last week's card. It's too bad my name is Nathan Walsh and not Nathan Wood haha. Maybe next time! Speaking of the veil and the experiments... Maybe Liliana will unleash an Onakke spirit which will be the only being capable of saving Innistrad from whatever Nahiri is trying to summon (probably Emrakul)... I look forward to finding out in the next lore video!
When you were talking about someone dying at the climax of OTGW I was hoping the same. I think we need something to change. It would be an amazing turn if Jace died in this arc, a new spot at the top of the list.
If harness the storm said any spells instead of just instants or sorceries, it would synergize really well with seibens Izzet on the rocks deck especially if you could use it to get two thing in the ices, and also, you will be casting way more spells using harness the storm anyway
the new story explains the zombies at the drownyard: here's an extract from a letter from Gisa to Geralf The woman introduced herself as Nahiri, and she is clever and quite interested in my work. I showed her how to whistle just the right way to make the dead do as they're told. Nahiri was very amused by my talent and said she probably wouldn't be very good at it, but seemed very interested in seeing the extents of my abilities. I've been calling again, and it feels ever so wonderful!
Also: My new friend asked for an army of builders, and I have raised her one! She was quite mum about what the zombies were for, but when I asked if they were to build a monument of stone to celebrate our talents she raised her eyebrows and nodded with great enthusiasm.
There's a part in the actual UR where Liliana tries to get Jace to think about his past and he mentions how he doesn't really know but all this madness has got me thinking that it might make him remember about Vryn and it could be how we get led to it in a future set.
One of my favoeite veiws about the ongoing story. . . Still think that its Liliana corrupting Avacyn and Nahiri sumoning Merit Lage, but when they print Liliana in the next set, Garruk is going to be there too trying to get revenge :)
The veil has always been used to increase output. I bet the lightning will be a welcome change for the veil as it will be receiving energy rather than giving. Perhaps this will increase its influence on Lilliana or make the veil able to influence many planeswalkers so long as they are within the same plane/vicinity.
Soi theory: Shadows over innistrad sounds a lot like shadows over innsmouth, a book by hp lovecraft. Hp lovecraft also wrote stories about Cthulhu a giant alien being that will destroy the world. Cthulhu seems like a mutated kraken, and there are evil krakens on innistrad like thing in the ice. Innistrad and hp lovecraft are connected and maybe this proves that marit lage might be nahiris plan.
I'm wondering if the insanity is a combination of both the plain and him being the guildpact. After all, he is bound to the guilds at the end of Dragon's Maze.
Liliana wasn't in _Shadows over Innistrad_, even though she was on the promotional images, indicating her importance. I wonder if we'll see a planeswalker card of Liliana possessed by the Chain Veil in _Eldrich Moon_. Also, I wonder if Jace's growing insanity is also a bad omen. Maybe the Eldrich Moon's corruption affects him as well by now. If Emrakul has a Mind Mage under her control, the multiverse will be in big trouble.
after avacyn's death, i feel sad. she was one of my favorite characters. i don't am excited about news of magic anymore, i still like the game, it's amazing and all, but i'm feeling kind of empty :/
My speculation for about what’s going on: One of the Nephalia mad scientists, most probably Ludevic, uncovered the presence of a dark force that has dwelled on Innistrade since before Sorin became a planeswalker. This began a new cult in Innistrade; one that had an eldritch horror at its center, rather than the usual a demon. The cult has been sowing descent and destruction, its members hidden in plain sight yet evident in the cards with multiple eyes and octopus like deformities. These insurgents spread an unseen affliction around Innistrade, pretending to be members of their respective factions as they do. The true threat to Innestrade is not in the skies, or even from Nahiri, it’s under the skin. Innestrade is becoming a souls game. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the planeswalkers was inflicted and becomes an aberration in the next set; I expect to see a lot of aberration tribal. Behind the Scenes is probably the most direct tie for this. Explains what the hell happened to that werewolf that Tamio dissected. This would give new light to the flavor text between Ludevic and Geralf, whose involvement explains the zombie workforce around the graveyard. It is very likely that someone at wizards got inspired while playing Dark souls or Bloodborne and pitched the idea to management. If you are familiar with Parasyte the Maximum, then you are awesome... and know what I'm getting at here.
sorry guys, had some Internet issues that were just resolved. sorry for the delay!
Resolved. Eh? Eh? Anyone?
+Lorenzo Marasigan wanna hear a magic joke?
BANDING!
Doesn't banding work with trample
comcast?
+SeibenMTG yeah its like tgi Friday its everyday fridday
Jace: "Don't experiment with the chain veil"
Lilliana: *begins experimenting with it literally the instant he leaves*
I just started playing mtg and I'm actually surprised how good its lore is.
These videos are like one if the few things still keeping me in MTG
+mary jane desjardins Same
The guy at the end says his master is Dierk. He is a geistmage that appears in some cards flavor text. I believe he may try to rid the chain veil of all the souls and use them for some other purpose.
SOI's story keeps getting better and better...
Glad to see [Friday] Night Lore back up again. Thanks for keeping it up, Seiben!
Still trying to work out if the Raven Man is really there or just in Lili"s mind.
Another great and amazing lore video. Thanks so much for all you do to bring Magic to life through your videos.
Goddammit Jace! you know lili isn"t completely insane we want you guys to do this together!!!!!
I really like that Liliana and Jace still care about each other, the scene where Liliana just has Jace on her lap is sweet :)
This was a good video. It was nice to see softness in Lili and the Great Jace slowly loose his mind!
Yes finally! This was my favorite story WOTC has released yet! Seiben, you did this story justice!
Huge fan of your channel and have been watching just about everything you made. Really glad to have found this channel!
Can't wait for this Eldritch Moon to come out... This mystery is gettin' more and more intriguing...
I just found your channel a week ago and I'm eating up all this lore, keep up the good work
My lord this block is quickly becoming one of my favorite just due to the story
I love this story. Messing with Jace;s mind? Perfect.
it would be interesting if the Ravenman is Jace from a different timeline...

I am thinking the raven man is a servant of bolas, or perhaps a servant of a second mastermind, conspiring to end bolas, perhaps another elder dragon.
I just became a sunscriber today and I love this channel and I cant wait for more. I love mtg and the lore that comes with it. thank yoi Seiben for bringing these videos to me and your fans. I will be waiting for the next piece of lore next week
I find it cool how we slowly see Jace going insane.

jace did one hell of a batman
Jace mind starting to be corrupted isn't something I was expecting
+deadjacksoul do i detect a blue black jace? ^_^
Great channel, finally a lot of the lore in one place, keep up the good work man.
It is fine that you were last a bit. we all understand and keep the lore coming it is great to hear the story of mtg
Liliana is my favorite planeswalker and always enjoy when she meets her former lover in Jace. Always sparks and stress interactions come forefront.
I don't care if the FNLs don't come on a Friday, just happy there's a video!
When you were talking about someone dying at the climax of OTGW I was hoping the same. I think we need something to change. It would be an amazing turn if Jace died in this arc, a new spot at the top of the list.
Haven't seen harness the storm being used in standard yet, hoping to change that
I'd love that harness the storm. Enjoyed the video!
I love the lore and story for this set, it's actually something that I'm interested in keeping up with
Jace loses spark, becomes creature with madness. GENIUS.
This story just gets more and more interesting!
Best lore channel I've found so far :D keep it up.
If harness the storm said any spells instead of just instants or sorceries, it would synergize really well with seibens Izzet on the rocks deck especially if you could use it to get two thing in the ices, and also, you will be casting way more spells using harness the storm anyway
Really love the interactions between Jace and Lili. Hope there'll be more in Eldritch Moon =)
Jace being corrupted by the machinations of Nahiri is impressive.
+smashmaniac2008 I wonder if the corruption is going to affect Liliana, the chain veil, Tamiyo,or Sorin.
Great story, probably my favorite one yet!
I've recently started playing Mtg and I find the lore to be the best part.
+Booster Gold its why I got into it 7 years ago
the new story explains the zombies at the drownyard: here's an extract from a letter from Gisa to Geralf

Yay more Jace but the question is by the time we get there will he still be mono colored,or changed in mind, personality, or appearance
Love this vid! It's starting to kick off now!
Guessing Jace is starting to go cray cray as well. Also wonder how lili is going to rid herself of the chain veil.
Harness the storm has some great potential I think. Interested in brewing around with it.
One of my favoeite veiws about the ongoing story. . . Still think that its Liliana corrupting Avacyn and Nahiri sumoning Merit Lage, but when they print Liliana in the next set, Garruk is going to be there too trying to get revenge :)

I love the character development between Jace and Lilliana , one of the few times Jace gets to be built upon as a character
nice profile pic. i bet your password is case-sansetive
Really enjoyed that sort of twist ending.
Great vid as always! I think Nicol Bolas is controlling Jace. Total guess though.
Jace becomes insane and then he meets the corrupted Garruk - dayum
Just built a demon deck so I'm glad we are going back to inisstrad
The souls in the chained Veil will escape and reek havoc on innistrad, just as Nahri finihes calling Emerkraul to innestrad
good story telling. I await patiently till your next lore video
Very interested in the chain veil. can't wait till next one
cant wait to hear more from Sorin's story!
A re-print of the chain veil would be nice for Eldritch Moon.
Better yet a Liliana of the veil reprint
Soi theory:
Shadows over innistrad sounds a lot like shadows over innsmouth, a book by hp lovecraft. Hp lovecraft also wrote stories about Cthulhu a giant alien being that will destroy the world. nice video, I wonder if they'll reprint the chain veil
Here in Brazil we still are waiting to play the pre-release.
Great video man, keep up the good work!
It becomes amazing to Watch! Congratulation man!
I can't wait to see what happens with liliana in the next part of the story
that canon romance is so nice, wizards just better not kill it like some other things I know (Cough) RWBY!
+Kaze “Kaiser Astaroth” clemons I don't understand.
I'm wondering if the insanity is a combination of both the plain and him being the guildpact. After all, he is bound to the guilds at the end of Dragon's Maze.
I can't wait til Jace meets up with Tamiyo. I think it will be in Thraben. Avacyns Judgement art looks like it has an awesome story behind it.
I think Lili is trying to test the effects of the Chain Veil on Zombies, trying to see what happens when she curses one of her zombies
Yes, let's put the more energy into a cursed object! Seems like a good plan to me!
Interested to see where Odric and Thaila are placed in this conflict.
Also, where Tamiyo may be.
Liliana wasn't in _Shadows over Innistrad_, even though she was on the promotional images, indicating her importance. I wonder if we'll see a planeswalker card of Liliana possessed by the Chain Veil in _Eldrich Moon_.

Love these non-Friday Friday editions :P
It's interesting how the Story between Liliana and Jace goes on..... I'm curious to see what will happen next ^^
a re-print of those OP planeswalkers would be nice
Say, will "harnes the storm" see any play in storms decks?
I love the storyline for this set.
after avacyn's death, i feel sad. she was one of my favorite characters.
i don't am excited about news of magic anymore, i still like the game, it's amazing and all, but i'm feeling kind of empty :/
The lore for the set is really good
poor Jace... :(
Love love love your videos and insight. Thanks!
pretty cool way to double the amount of bolts in your deck
Owyeah, I was wating for another one of those sweets Lore videos!
Keep it up seiben your doing a amazing job at making these lores
Ooh. I could use a Harness the Storm. I would experiment with it in Modern Storm.
i wonder if the other lady is gisa, she controls zombies too. maybe she learned or the chain veil and wants it for herself?
so what i got from this was that the Raven Man is the real hand behind everything... maybe he's trying to release the onakke
So glad i found this series
time for a new face of magic :D excellent vid as usual!
I love it when Friday's are on Tuesday
could you dive deeper into the raven man's lore later on, or link which video has them in?
Commenting to win :D
Bouts to get that harness the storm, for my harness the storm deck that I currently don't have but will make maybe
They better make a crazy Jace card, because that would be awesome.
Can't wait for more lore!
nice narration, keep on going Jace XD
I kinda wanna see a lore video for all the werewolf packs in innistrad.
Wonder what it would take to Liliana to settle for a person. Or even what it might be...
Know what would be awesome? Blue/Black Jace card. I waaaaaant it. Or another Tamiyo card. I mean come on, she needs it.
A crazed jace is dangerous has fuck... He can insta mindwipe people, even the ones with mental defenses
Maybe the Raven Man is manipulating Liliana into projecting the whispers of the Veil across all of Innistrad.
My speculation for about what’s going on:

Will you do lore on the raven man...if there is any
SOI is getting crazy so far!
