Just a clarification-Norma Jean was not replaced. She left the show of her own accord to return to get married and return to Oklahoma. It was her decision, not Porter's.
It was a mistake to take Pretty Little Miss Norma Jean off the show and she was just so prim and proper and such a beautiful gal who I looked forward to seeing . You made the show and the Where is the rest pf my message

Norma Jean was not replaced per say, she got married left the show. Dolly Parton was the right choice. Norma Jean has said of Dolly, she knew Dolly was gonna be a big star and that Porter Wagoner made the right choice
@@darlenesmith6693 Porter was a genuinely nice person. We weren’t close friends but I knew him fairly well. He had little education but he was highly intelligent and a very serious businessman. Very underrated songwriter as well.
