Very interesting, I like learning about unique lesser known stretches to activate different muscles! I have a question- I usually do a seated hamstring stetch, the usual one where you are seated with both legs straight in front and you reach for your toes. I have decent flexibility so I can reach past my toes. I noticed something, when I point my toes downwards (plantar flexion), I feel a deep stretch in my tibialis anterior and some stretch on the lateral side of my feet. It's a pretty painful stretch so I can't really hold it too long. I'm assuming that indicates a tight tibialis anterior muscle? If so, is this a good stretch for it? Also, I was wondering about the mechanism for the stretch, as in why does plantar flexion during a hamstring stretch, activate the anterior tibialis? Are the hamstrings connected to the anterior tibialis via tendons/fascia, etc.? Try the stretch for yourself, you'll see what I mean :)
This exercise helped me a lot seriously.
That’s great news glad to hear it!
Wow instant relief. Thank you!
Are there other technics? To heal, not just the pain, but the problem itself
