Henry Cavill:
An actor passionate about his craft, loves the fans and respects the source material
Hollywood: you're out
Ezra Miller: an actor with severe mental issues who assaults random people
Hollywood: 😍
stop shilling cavill ffs
Some exec probably still has his fly unzipped.
Eh. I would have fired Cavill as well, after his Wooden performances weren't well received by general audiences. There was zero mainstream buzz for his *return* in Black Adam... audiences just don't care for that version. Reboot is needed.

Bad CGI is something that the Flash can never outrun.
It was me Barry, I was the one who ruined your CGI and reputation
As similar to DC movies (& many other franchises) unable to outrun studio interference.
His CGI was great in Zack Snyder's Justice League.
To be fair I don't think any CGI artist or actor is capable of making the Flash running look cool.
What a silly joke
And I laughed. Thanks
Absolutely agree about the multiverse plotline. Its become a lazy way for writers to write out of any corner or just introduce more plot with a hand wave.
Been saying it a while
Standalone movies have always been better than this multiverse stuff.
@@whysoserious4274 Putting the blame on the wrong place. Multiverses have existed in comics. Multiversal stories aren't inherently bad, but the executions can indeed be bad. People fear that in the name of Multiverse stories, there will be pretty bad films.
It wasn't always like that. It's only been in recent years that time travel and multiverse plotlines has become an excuse for lazy writers to cut corners and not explain their work. Avengers endgame was just a bunch of nonsense. Would've been more entertaining had they found a magic lamp.
At first, it was kind of neat. But yeah, as time goes on, you see it is becoming the go-to plot device for everything.
I never liked the concept of a multiverse for 3 reasons:
1. It makes things way too confusing.
2. It expands the scope of the setting so much that the stuff we can focus on seems insignificant.
3. The existence of alternate Earths and alternate versions of yourself makes your actions and choices seem insignificant.
"The worst aspect of the Flash movie is the Flash himself specifically Ezra Miller's take on the Flash"! *Perfectly said!*
More like perfectly biased due to actor-related personal issues, he did a great job in the film if you don't care about celebrity news media.
Is it just me or did he have this stupid look on his face through the whole movie. I just tried to watch it because it was free today on Amazon. I was cooking my lunch while I started the movie and couldn't make it through 15 minutes. Bad acting, the weird look. From what I did see I actually really really liked the TV series immensely better.
I was definitely taken aback by the fact that they couldn't find a way to use one flash villain in a flash movie
A lot of the flash villains make the Batman villains look realistic! Or they are extremely dull - like Grog, Sharkman or whatnot, the only really good ones are speedster-based like zoom / reverse flash WHO WAS IN THIS MOVIE they just somehow failed to tell us who murdered Barry Allen's mom, somehow ...
@@dgillies5420 in the TV show almost every major villain is just another speedster! The multiverse is apparently littered with them, not to mention the various members of the Allen family and others. There's really nothing that special about Barry!

Seeing the original Keaton batman stuff was the only neat part in the movie.
The sad part is that this an adaptation of the "Flashpoint" comic story that's actually REALLY good.
Barry tries to go back in time to save his mother only to find out the world gets screwed up beyond all reckoning and that she HAS to stay dead for the good of everyone.
Knowing he has the power to change time itself, but can't use it to save his mom is a cross he has to bear, and it has a deep impact.
No it wasn't. They should have just copy pasted the animated film bcz this was dumb.
@@st4ne4rmthevill63 I'm saying the original comic story was good. The movie is a sack of horseshit.
you just described what happens in the movie...
@@suparibhau The difference is the movie has 2 versions of an actor (Ezra Miller) we can barely tolerate ONE of and a villain that means absolutely nothing to the Flash as a character.
This movie plays like Ezra Miller is a kid hopped up on sugar and caffeine, trying to beat a video game that keeps looping because the final boss has god mode enabled.
The original Flashpoint features an enemy that has great relevance to Barry Allen, Zoom, and the character arc for Barry is fantastic.
The movie is a poorly adapted mess of excessive CGI effects that, for me at least, is a pale imitation of the original Flashpoint comic miniseries.

"I love it. Can we get the absolute worst person in Hollywood to play Flash?"
"You mean Ezra Miller? Consider it done!"
The story about Bruce Wayne dying in the assault and his parents coping in different ways was amazing and tragic. His father became Batman with guns and his mom went crazy from grief and became the Joker.
Honestly Ezra's a piece of shit but there are much worse people in Hollywood. I'd say the people who were all friendly with Epstein and the like are probably worse. It's just a matter of exposing them.
I still don't know why they write garbage scripts instead of just adapting faithfully a script already proven to be great.
It was me Barry. I made Hollywood nuke your entire story so it’ll seem like you were always like this the entire time!
This was really flash point tho. I would have loved that
The interesting part about this whole concept, is the fact the animated version flashpoint paradox... Just completely outstanding. all DC needed to take that animated movie and turn it into live action. Script was unbelievably solid following the comic book and the take on Thomas Wayne was dark but brilliant. Everyone wanted to see zoom and that was also not in this terrible version. I highly recommend watching "flashpoint paradox" animated just observe how easy this movie would have been if they just delivered that to live action.
I been saying this for fucking yrs that scene with Barry and Bruce at the end of that movie was probably the most heart felt Dc moment ever put on film it still tears my big baby eyes up till this day and I’m a grown ass man it’s just great writing
Yep, and they wouldn't even have had to recast Michael Keaton, all they had to do was call him "Thomas Wayne" instead. They could have still kept Sasha Calle as Supergirl, her storyline is basically the same as in the cartoon anyways.
@@veemon9280 Jeffrey dean morgan was suppose to be Thomas Wayne but they changed that.
This shows me that ultimately, Marvel & DC stories work better as animated movies than live action films.
All superhero movies should only be animated from this point on. No more live action.
Man, Barry's mother really must have had an insanely profound affect on the entire world.
even affecting kryptionian events
Maybe his mom slept with all the right people?? 😅😅
The most unbelievably frustrating thing about this movie is that at no point does Barry think of catching his mother's actual killer. I thought he would. It seemed like a pretty obvious thing to try.
But...why? Why catch the fucking killer when you can stop the killing from happening altogether? Even if he did catch the killer after the fact, how does he prove it was them?
It would have been better if she got home with the can of tomatoes only to find out the Dad actually did it 😂

I haven't read DC comics since after "52" but even I'm old enough to remember Barry Allen worked for the Central City Crime Lab. You'd think that'd be what he would use his skills for in the PRESENT. This is another reason why I hate the Ezra Miller Flash, he's less Barry Allen and more of a Joss Whedon attempt at Wally West.
@@_GeneralMechanics_he's actually doing that in this movie.

Basically making it nearly impossible to beat him the same way more than once.
I saw it and for some reason the only thing I could think after was "So that kid he saved during the Zod invasion...he just lets him die now?".
I do think it was overhyped by those who saw it early. And it’s definitely not “DC’s best movie” as some early viewers quoted. Then again, to each their own I guess. However, although it’s not my favorite DC movie, I had fun with it in a popcorn flick type of way even though it was wonky at times.
Its amazing they keep someone like Ezra Miller who has caused so much trouble and has multiple run-ins with the law yet doesn't want someone like Henry Cavil who just wants to do justice for his character and stay true to the source material.
They probably had too much footage with Ezra already to start over.

This movie could’ve been better for sure, but it was fun and mostly enjoyable. The story arc involving grief, acceptance of pain and growth from it, as well as the inevitable self destruction that can come from not accepting reality was well told here.
I liked it as well. This movie was fun fast paced and not as bad as some reviewers judge it.
Agreed. Its not as terrible as everyone says. I didn't see any giant flaws in the movie, yeah maybe something could have been better but it was fun to watch. Trust me I've walked out of really bad movies before, or at least fallen asleep, but I did neither for this one.
except the cgi and throwaway characters, the story is quite good. there was no politics, it's just about character's growth. kinda refreshing
All DC had to do was adopt the script of the animated movie "Flashpoint Paradox" into live-action. It's that simple. The story-telling in the animated movie is already solid. Introducing Reverse Flash as the antagonist would also be a much better option than Zod, it's a Flash movie, not a Superman movie. They could've even casted Keaton as Thomas Wayne and not worry about that Keaton is perhaps on the older side, to say the least, to play Bruce Wayne. And the letter from Thomas to Bruce at the end of the movie? It's enough to make grown--ups cry! Seriously DC/ WB need to stop trying to reinvent the wheel.
I agree. I enjoyed it too. But I'm not surprised it flopped. The flaws in the movie were a bit too obvious.
Although, somehow, they weren't enough to stop me enjoying the movie, it's saying something when you like a movie enough, but are not only NOT surprised that it flops, but you don't mind that it did, at all.
Perhaps that has something to do with the actor Ezra.
I actually found Ezra okay in this because the 'original' Barry was a bit more reserved and less obnoxious than his young self. So they had a good dynamic going on there imho. Pretty smart choice.
I like that the big Zod fight was in the desert so they didn't have to animate much of anything. And they still managed to make the sand look like trash.

From the few trailers I saw at work, it seemed the entire marketing campaign was to get people in based on nostalgia for Michael Keaton's Batman. Kind of ironic when the main selling point for your superhero movie is a completely different superhero.
That's because Keaton is touted to be one of the most popular former DC stars next to Reeve's Superman. It was always a marketing ploy to use that to try and get the majority of the fans to back this movie.
Even the movie posters had more Batman than Flash.
Yep. Keaton is likeable. Miller is not.
I'd watch a movie with just Keaton as Batman; but I'm not wasting my time with this unwatchable mess!
@@Baiano29and u wanna know why??
Of course they use the likes of Keaton to shill out for this dreadful steaming pile of turgid nonsense. The marketing departments long caught to the fact that modern fandom is more interested in 'brands' like Star Wars, Star Trek, Batman than actual movie craft.
Take Star Wars and Indy. The original trilogy came at a particular time and place, and was a zeitgeist series of movies, coming shortly after Vietnam and the Oil Crisis, stagflation, social and political upheaval right as we enter the peak Cold War. People needed escapism, especially after a run of bleak movies like Soylent Green, All the Presidents Men, Klute, so Star War and Indy took film making back to the Golden Era of Hollywood.
But, by the time we get to Jedi, while the idea of kids making there own movies with action figures is a nice one, we then get the Ewoks, and the birth of 'product' rather than art. Fast forward to the prequals and sequels, there is nothing but 'product', now cynically guised under a 'progressive' banner today.
Sadly kids today don't have their Star Wars or Indy or Back to the Future because I am afraid to say that my generation, who saw Star Wars in 1977, never gave up their toys. Kids are now just the next on the conveyor belt of 'consumers'. Then we wander why young people are film illiterate, because today we need seven series of the same box set in order to have 'character development', or nihilistic about the world because there are no genuine hero's with few exceptions, male or female, anymore.
When you have nothing to believe in, no stakes in society, and no virtue to uphold, you end up with the prolefeed we get, crooks like Trump, Biden, AOC and Sanders reaching the top, and cults like MAGA, BLM, ANTIFA or Proud Boys, who look and sound the same, at least to my ears dominating the social discourse.
There is a point to say that while the CGI and stunt men let Keaton fight better than he "could have" in Burton's film; Burton's film was also made the way it was to exemplify The Batman. What I mean is, there's a concerted difference that has been noted and is very intentional, between Bruce and Dick. In both armor preference and general fighting styles. One has lighter armor and a more acrobatic, higher risk fighting style that works for him because of his training as a tightrope walker in the circus. He uses Escrima sticks as his favored weapons, where Bruce is more a straight up hand to hand brawler. One could argue the stick based fighting style actually lets Dick be less focused, and go at it faster. Especially since he does not quite have Bruce's raw bulk. Where Bruce has to be focused and precise with each strike. He's depending on the heavy weight of his armor to add damage to his strikes and has to know he'll hit exactly where he wants. The sticks do most of the damage in velocity as well as adding a defensive point that means Dick can be less absolutely perfect with his guard, and has more leeway with raw damage output, by muscle alone. Bruce's armor is more The Samurai Vs. Ninja which would be more Nightwing's take. His is meant to guard against the beating that Dick doesn't want to endure. It's the same thing as some knights preferred chainmail to plate. Sometimes that was about what they could afford themselves to upkeep in cost, but a good chunk was weight concern vs. protection offered, and personal endurance on the field. [Not saying he couldn't, but he's more mobile, so dodging is more his style than Bruce's stand my ground against all comers attitude] That said, there's a reason that both heroes are consistently ranked in DC's top martial artists. Neither is a bad fighter in the least, but I'd argue the CGI version of Batman like you see is probably closer to Dick's actual style overall. Long winded way of saying: Keaton really wasn't SUPPOSED to move much. Even against the technical limitations, his movements as a fighter were what they were meant to be, for the character at the time. The times have changed and the style of "action" has evolved to be splashier and more frenetic, but that doesn't mean Keaton as he was did anything wrong in the classic Batman. Burton made the best with what he had, and the lore did support his vision at the time.
I don’t know what to think because I actually liked the movie after I got over Batman fighting in the day. I was touched by the plot and was shocked at Batman’s final words. Although the CGI was horrible.
To me its not bad or good its a generic super hero time killer movie like all of them pretty much. Bad cgi is not a deal breaker either because its supposed to be a flashy super hero movie with skybeams and shit.
it's kinda good tho, scenes are well laid out, story is touching but yeah cgi was horrible

Drinker questioning Batman fighting aliens. Well that's how it's gonna be in a justice league type thing. That's what what it is, pal.
@@asif9t9 Yeah I don't understand that "Batman vs aliens" take at all tbh. If drinker actaully knows about dc comic characters and cartoons, he would know that batman fighting aliens and godlike beings is a very common occurence for him when teamed up with Justice league. It gets so ridiculous at times(not in this movie though) that comic book readers have given him the name Batgod, when he pulls of the most insane feats when a human like him shouldnt have been able to.
I really just don't understand the hate for this movie. It was a good time, with some great cameos and characters. And the "bad" CGI everyone complains about was clearly as intended for comedic value and to represent the distortion of the speed force. You can see in other parts of the movie like where Supergirl is figithing Zod, or barry is running really fast that everything looks just fine.
@RMil-mx5op. Because it’s not a good movie, maybe enjoyable. Drinker doesn’t say one can’t enjoy it, just is not a cohesive movie and given the universe that it’s supposed to reside in that’s the point.
They should have used Reverse Flash as the villain. He’s basically the main villain of The Flash, and the whole point of Barry going back in time is to save his mother from Reverse Flash.
So wait, they didn't even use Reverse Flash, in this movie??
About him going in time? WTF? lol. I thought that was going to be a given or the main storyline.
Don't forget the fact that Reverse Flash played a role in Flashpoint as well.
The director screwed up by not including him
Reverse flash kinda did nothing in flashpoint? Barry assume Thrawn screw the timeline but it was Barry himself, reverse flash were just there to taunt Barry of his failure and stops him from fixing it.
@@kail4997 totally agree with that. But Reverse Flash acts as a commentary on Barry and him being a saviour which he is not in Flashpoint as he screws up the timeline. Flashpoint does not work without Batman being Thomas Wayne and Reverse Flash being there.
What they have made in this movie is just total mess.
@@stanknight9159 No, they didn't. There wasn't even any type of yellow flash mystery. Dad went to store. Mom shouts for help. Everyone finds her with a knife in her stomach dead. Nobody asks who killed her or what happened. Not even Barry.
In the animation, Batman usually acts as the strategist. He is generally the play maker to bring the big gun, Superman, into the fight.
It helps that the comics have an actual Justice League with an actual HQ. Plenty of opportunities to brainstorm with the other thinkers of the League, and less time trying to stop an angry, super-powered alien with a glorified airplane meant to stop thugs.
Yes, but he’s also prone to bringing technology to big fights. I’m reminded of that moment in the justice league unlimited show where he just inexplicably has a bomb on the bat plane that can freeze hundreds of miles within absolute zero. His explanation is simply I had to freeze the Gotham river once. It’s one of the best Batman lines I can think of. There’s no precedent, that never happened in Batman, the animated series. It might’ve happened in one of the comic book titans, but it never happened on screen. But you very much by that at some point Batman had to freeze the entire Gotham river. Why? Probably the joker, maybe scarecrow, maybe something completely different, but the man had to freeze the river, and he had a bomb to do it. And then he made another bomb and kept it on the back plane just in case you needed to freeze something else. In modern society, being the strategist means having some really fun toys to play with. And Bruce Wayne can afford some pretty fun toys.
The bit where Batman makes fucking darkseid back down by outsmarting him is legendary.
That was a really good scene in an otherwise average movie. I remember thinking that I would’ve liked that scene. A lot better hadn’t been Kevin Conroy as Batman and Michael Ironside as dark side. As far as I’m concerned, those are the definitive voices for those characters. Rest in peace, Kevin Conroy.
Batman is the prep guy. Tower of Babel show us if you give Batman too much prep he can killed everybody in the Justice League.
The Drinker is great, but I gotta say I enjoyed this movie. Maybe that's because my interest was more casual, so I enjoyed the casual cameos and I'm not yet burned out on the multiverse, nor have I been paying much attention to Ezra's real-life antics.

While I don't disagree with your points, I still really enjoyed the movie. I thought there were good character arcs. There were scenes that set up later important plot points, etc. Plus I have a weakness for the time paradox plot devices. :-)

I agree this time paradox plot and Barry's character arc were super cool and to me make this better than most superhero trash we are subjected to

It all started with that damn refrigerator in the Crystal Skull.
@@johncarroll5178 This is the first example of "Fridging" in the DCEU.

Doesn't Spider-Man do that all the time??
When Ezra Miller was initially cast in the DCU, I remember saying "well he's not *my* Barry Allen, but what the hell? Let's give him a chance." And I went on to defend him in the role. HOW WRONG I WAS.
Still questioning how this movie wants to be No Way Home, and wastes money on CGI to paint actors who are dead as alive and well. But somehow doesn't have the idea of bringing Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist. What was so wrong with the Arrowverse? The writing and drop in quality. The actors were fine in their portrayals, much like Henry Cavill who was murdered by his scripts, not his performance.
You have time for an Adam West cameo. But not Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist. Not even a passing mention. Great job. Then again, they dropped Henry Cavill from this movie. Amazing work. WB has its finger on the pulse.
He was never right for the role even in both versions of JL.

@@nzeusman8215 well yeah lol if you know how movies are today, then you’d know what I’m talking about. I truly thought she was gonna come in and out shine everyone and talk about how much better girls are and stuff but none of that happened and I was actually happy about it
@@BhrixtgunsWait, where is superboy!?> you got a superwoman AND girl?! this is not right.
Nice video, i agree with alot of what you said, for me there were really specific things in this that just destroyed it in my opinion.
First off, The running, if anything stops, the awkward running and posing and talking should be first, Barry is not everyone's favorite, but he had confidence, the one i watched anyway from the Justice League animated series, which i can only assume was close to the comics flash, was a bit like Spiderman in confidence and comedy, i usually tell myself that it's an AU (alternate universe) version like i do with Iris West, but there are limits damnit.
Secondly, when Flash changed history, all he changed was the timespan from his childhood forward, around the same time Batman would lose his parents, Superman was learning to deal with his powers, Aquaman was being taught his, Wonder woman would be living in the world of man etc etc, i get some alteration would occur, but these made no sense save for Cyborg, somewhat.
Third, i kind of expected Michael Keaton to play Thomas Wayne, not only because he's older, but because i expected the events of flashpoint paradox to some degree, however Bruce Wayne's difference in appearance is due to Barry's mother's survival ?, how the hell did that alter Bruce's appearance and age so drastically when he was already born by this time, same thing with Clooney.
Fourth, Super girl (who for AU reasons has short black hair now,) was going off the events of Flashpoint paradox as well save for the fact that SHE landed in Siberia instead of wherever the hell she landed in the original timeline, now the real issue is Clark didn't even land on earth,... because Flash, a human, on earth, effected the timeline, on earth, AFTER superman had already landed, because when Barry first got his powers it was a little afterwards that Zod attacked going by the movies own words, meaning Superman and Flash where around the same age give or take, So Barry's time alteration affected the timeline somehow before the point of interference; So somehow super girl landed on earth, Clark who was already living in Kansas, never made it... Bruce's entire age and appearance were altered despite already being born and around the same age, Arthur, already been born, blipped out of existence i guess ?, Diana probably decided to go home (don't blame her), all because Barry touched a can of tomatoes on earth, all im saying is if you are an up and coming writer/director reading this, pay attention when writing a story, it helps, the audience appreciates it.
Fifth, Of course the one and only Live-action (which are overrated to hell) Flash focused movie to come out since 1992 (Far as i know) And seemingly following the events of the Flashpoint paradox, could have, introduced us to Mirror master, done a crossover with Gorilla Grodd & planet of the apes (why not), Have The Flash fight or even cooperate with Captain cold, And of course, the bane of Barry's existence, Reverse Flash, the cause of all this, ALL these options & some, and we get, Superman's enemy, Zod, who followed the exact same script just with super girl...
Well then, that's my two cents, hope the read was something positive for you and i'll see you next time anonymous reader. o7 (Salute)
I guess you weren’t paying attention to the spaghetti scene where Bruce explained that changing the past also changes events prior to that past.
What I did like is Supergirl wasn't like the Marvel/Disney toxic feminist type. She was her own character being a badass and the fact she's a woman at no point was the focus.
In her interviews she mentioned when she met Henry Cavill she asks him "Did I make you proud?", talks about just playing a good character, living up to the standards set by the character and just doing a good job. Zero pandering to the woke.
Just because of that I actually hope to see her continue the role and would like to see a Supergirl movie.
Not to mention she looks goddamn beautiful in that suit and makes no attempt to hide the fact women have, certain features. If this was Marvel you'd already see "supergirls suit is too tight, outdated, it's objectifying women!"
She was imprisoned by humans. So she should have a chip on her shoulder. I enjoyed dark supergirl.
Also, I really hate that all of y'all keep using the word "woke" for everything y'all hate.....all y'all have turned into what you hate....SHEEP.
In fact WOKE is just another stolen colonized word. Blacks have been using woke for decades....SMH....the anti woke people are sheep. And don't know it
I´ve never heard about this actress before, and honestly, now I´m looking forward to her new roles. After all the mockery about the famous leaked pics, I have to admit she looks quite good on that tight-fitting suit 🍑👀

It was a great idea having her being held by the Russians

Robert Downey Jr's charisma and acting chops made Iron Man, who was mostly unknown to general audiences, one of the biggest names in the Marvel lineup and a major global phenomenon. Just awful.
So one of the biggest changes to the timeline is that Superman is now Supergirl, and that is also one of the reasons that they cannot beat Zod.

The justice league animation movies actually do a phenomenal job showcasing Batman in a way that is believable to be a hero of the entire earth instead of just a city.
He seems the most in control and reliable to get the job done when other more powerful actual super hero’s can’t do it.
Completely agree. Same as the comics - at least the older ones (since I don't know the new). Grant Morrison's JLA run is a perfect example showing why Batman matters - even without superpowers.
Completely agree. He may be human, but he's basically at the peak of human capability, so he while he can absolutely get wrecked, he can believably not get smeared. He has value because he's as good as he is at what he does. Barry himself says that the Justice League needs Batman because he's their strategist and tactician. If Superman is the tank, Batman's the general.
My favorite depiction of the justice league has to be in throne of atlantis. Batman is smart, intelligent, knows what's he's doing, doesn't talk unless he has too. Superman is kind, also smart, strong. Wonder woman the same. Flash and cyborg being the youngest are funny a joketive. Also their costumes are awesome, definitely the best

I liked him in Justice League. But the current movie has 2 problems: first is the actor’s off-screen behavior, which legitimately ought to be a factor in people’s decision whether to support the movie or not. Second, though, is the Zoidberg effect (Or the Dory effect or the Mater effect, if you prefer). There are secondary characters who don’t have a lot of lines, so most of them can be awesome one-liners. Then you slot them as the main character where they’re carrying most of the dialog… and suddenly they get really tedious. And on top of that, they made two of him for this movie. At least when Zoidberg got tedious it was just a 23 minute show. Dory and Mater ground on through full length movies.
Strongly agree with your criticism of the misuse of Batman. He's supposed to be an avatar of fear. You don't know when and if he'll jump out of the dark. When your fellow criminal walking beside you after a job will suddenly get pulled into the air and vanish. Batman in a mass battle in the daylight makes no sense. It also makes him very vulnerable.
Batman would deal with Zod in the shadows. Infiltrate his base / ship or something and lie in wait for the perfect moment to strike.
Instead he died, twice!
Batman in daylight doesn't really work.

The way Batman works in this kind of scenario was epitomized in Superman/Batman: Apocalypse. Instead of joining the fight against Darkseid directly, he discovered a strategic advantage over him, and simply compelled him to stand down without facing him in combat.
But of course the DCU seems allergic to Darkseid.
There is not enough representation in this movie.
As you say, Batman can absolutely work in Justice League or team-up stories as a strategist and tactician. _Superman/Batman: Apocalypse_ is a based on a story from the Superman/Batman comic. There are tons of other stories in the comics that the movie writers can look at to see how to make Batman work in a setting outside Gotham. The DCEU doesn't just seem allergic to Darkseid; it seems allergic to adapting stories from the comics at all. It's stupid to have decades and decades worth of stories to take as inspiration and not use any of it.
