They did do uncharted 4 in between, but they had the story concept before uncharted 4. They worked on it for 7 years, but were only fully focused on it after uncharted 4.

Laura Bailey said she worked on the game for 5 years, they were developing part 2 during uncharted 4, it just wasn’t their main focus, like how rockstar was working on rdr2 for 8 years but didn’t fully focus on it till 2013. Just because it wasn’t their main focus doesn’t mean they weren’t developing and making the game for 7 years, all together it took them 7 years

most mature and the best game i’ve played so far. what a roller coaster of emotions; i cried, laughed, felt anger, disgust, got happy, etc. definitely took a ton of boldness to pull something like this. thanks to naughty dogs for making a game filled with grey areas

@@pitumputpitongputingtupa The ending doesn't need to be tragic or bad to be great. The "happy ending" of the first one set up the sequel for what Joel did in the final mission (killed Abby's dad, lied to Ellie). He was selfish, but did what he did ultimately for love. Not exactly conventional, bad or like most "happy endings".

@@seancoetzee5399 yes like after I finished the game I rewatched some scenes and a few stuck out with Laura in then. When Abby says "we let you both live and you waisted it" the scene she finds her father dead, the final battle, and any little in-game conversations with people they were so natural.
Hardest scene to watch in the entire game.
When I saw the dog doing mocap for the deers, I was smiling ear to ear 🥰
they need to official release a video for this like they did with the first one !!

I didn't play this game when it first came out because of negative reviews..When I finally got around to playing it, I discovered that I enjoyed it as much as the first game..Pure quality.
Personally I preferred it to the first game. Brought out a lot more complex emotions.
If there's any dev studio that you can safely ignore any negative reviews for it's Naughty Dog.

This game is the next evolution of video games. No exaggeration, it changed my whole view in life and changed me as a person completely. Words cannot explain how emotional I was playing the game, and I mean it when I say I am not an emotional person.

it was all worth 7 years of waiting to make a game that can make even the emotionless human being on the world cry:( I can't wait to see part 3 maybe in 2025?
I think later, like 2028 or even 2030 but I'm excited about it
I think in part 3 abby and lev will find the fireflies and track down ellie to make a cure. In the lore theres rumoured to be a dr roaming around that supposedly able to pick up where abbys dad left off. Maybe Ellie will sacrifice herself at the end to make a vaccine that could save everyone.

@@mixsiarz2871 Actually it's Abby and Yara when they go to get Lev in Day 3. Abby and Lev are never actually on a speed boat - they escape the Seraphite island on a rowboat. It's the cutscene that plays when they both leave the Aquarium in pursuit of Lev.
