I have a Motorola ma1 for android, it works flawless
Mines started to randomly disconnect several times in a car trip. Even after multiple resets. Ended up buying a different brand.

@@pilot2020 Right now I'm using one call Jemluse. Bought it a month ago and so far so good. I had the MA1 prior for 2yrs and it started acting up after 6 months. So I stop using that one and was just using a wired AA connection until I bought the Jemluse.
My MDX has wireless carplay but find the audio quality is better wired vs wireless.

Jon, have you had this adapter for awhile now? I ask because on Amazon some reviewers complained of issues. Also, seems relatively new being out for 3 months now. I’d like to buy something that will last at least a few years if not forever. Have you experienced any problems with it?
They are all relatively the same. Once in awhile they will have a glitch but nothing horrible. I would spend the least on one.
Was that a dash camera on top of the window ? Where the map light is

How long does it take from when you start the car, for the CarPlay to show on the screen?
It takes about 10 seconds. About the same as the oem system to be honest
Do I have to use the phone to make this work or just plug and play without the phone
Once you connect this device your phone will automatically connect. Then you can use your vehicles infotainment system
