Reclaimer is my only ship beside the Mirai Fury. So I use it as my home, my daily driver, some salvage but mostly box missions! I baptised it the "Rusty Galleon".
Love that name
@@Darkhour717 Thank you!
Box missions? Holy crap, I bow to you lol
I upgraded my pledge after salvage dropped & I love this fugly thing. The all rust stains & chalk arrows on the walls really give this space-spider some character. Not to mention all the creepy, odd, & straight up weird noises this thing makes (I swear these things come with space rats or ghosts from the factory).
It has such a classic sci fi look it is the perfect setting for a Star Citizen Horror film lol
Another great guide Dark! Glad to see the turtle made the video.
Thanks and yes needed to make sure the good luck token got in
Truly an awesome ship. Walking into a hanger and looking up at the Reclaimer is a wow moment. Looking forward to the next tier of salvage to give it further use. Even before it had salvage use I'd fly it for bunkers, boxes and cargo.
No matter how long I own it I never get tired of its immense size always in awe
No its not, it could be but its so broken and more a eunuch these days. CIG have yet abandoned its ass after patching it up for a pitiful attempt at salvage. When you look how much has been removed over the years, its unlikely on CIG's laughingly titles ROADMAP. This is one sad example of poor design from another decade when CIG had no direction or any kind of concept.
Sooooo your not going to buy it? Correct?@@davewills6121
The reclaimer is the ship that ignited my desire to ever play Star Citizen, then i camne out and my pc was total shite. Now thats iv got one i love it.
I do love the reclaimer it is sucha great ship
What a cool ship! I've had the pleasure of touring inside of one during a ship show. But haven't gotten the chance to use if for it's intended purpose of salvaging yet. I'd love to earn enough in game cheddar to pick one up, eventually. Thanks for the great review, Dark!
Thankgs Snaggle appreciate you checking it out
what im looking most forward to in the advancement of salvaging are light bulbs so I can see wtf im doing in the dungeon-dark reclaimer
It is pretty dark in there lol
i got it yesterday with in website money its amazing looking ship and very peaceful gameplay loved it
Glad you like it
I own with real-world money the Reclaimer, Carrak, HammerHead, and the Merchantman which makes me use a C2 till it's released. The Reclaimer is a BEAST, and flying it out of orbit is a task.
yes it is but so worth the time it takes to fly out of atmosphere
What I do in regard to the QT drive is upgrade my M2 QT drive to a TS-2 which frees up the Pontes for my Reclaimer.
Yes this is a great move as well if you own both or switch witha caterpillar
For me, the Vulture is good enough. But the Reclaimer has such Nostromo vibes that I'm really glad one of my friends has it. It's a really fun ship, even if it's nearly the polar opposite of my shiny, fast 400i and 600i.
it really is a fun ship and alsways good if you can enjoy it through your friends
I really don't quite know why, but I enjoy soloing the Reclaimer more than flying the Vulture. I know it's weird. But something about the Vulture just rubs me the wrong way.
TBF, *every* Reclaimer owner I know feels the same. I don't think anyone casually buys a Reclaimer.
Came to watch the video, on WHERE I can Store it (pre-personal hangar)
Unfortunately major cities and grim hex only
thanks for the video dark. this is one of my top fav ships. not just on the job it does it looks so awesome i was so buzzing wen thay put in salvage. just wish we could stack in cargo bay would be able to take alot more and there is so much room for it. and isent it ment to have a snub ship called the cutter ? to be able to grab components ect. hope its not just the drake cutter and a variant we get to go with it
Glad you liked it! And yes it was supposed to have a snub ship called the cutter though i do not believe that to be the drake cutter
@@Darkhour717 ok fair hope it does get another ship called the cutter be awesome to see that and hopfuly thay put it in soon wen thay do the chomper arm on it so it can have more of its role in game
very nice looking ship!
It sure is!
I've often wondered how funny it would be to lift the crew character elements from 'Alien Isolation' and insert them as AI crew in a Reclaimer...
Not sure how I missed this video. Best ship in the game (my opinion).
Great ship! Great guide!
Thanks!
I am not attracted to salvage as a loop, but the reclaimer is a mighty ship.
It is definitely an awesome ship
It will be great once all the mechanics are working on the Reclaimer.
definitely will be for sure
can you trade the salvage lasers for some best laser like in the vulture?
Not yet at this time the Reclaimer has the Abrade and the Trawler on it stock and the Abrade is the most efficient. I would imagine in the future we will see other options
I cant rly explain why but i do have a love hate relationship with this ship.
I just love it
I look fwd to doing multiplayer
we are loving it and very profitable
that ts-2 gobbles fuel though and doesn't seem it has a lot of fuel capacity. would suggest erebos. Good video breakdown, ty.
Thank you! I will take a look at that appreciate the suggestion
WHY in the world did CIG take out that magnificent BIG number 098 from the Thruster !!!!
Not sure
Am I doing something wrong? I take the hammerhed cleanup mission worth 250k in personal salvage missions. The ship skin gets stripped and I get 250k if completely stripped , but no salvage containers are created.
You have to remember now there is a buffer on the salvage ships so it fills that first then you need to go create the containers afterwards. The reclaimer has a 240 crate buffer meaning it holds that many scu worth of material before it can collect no more. This allows a little more ease of solo salvage especially with the reclaimer as you can fill the buffer then proceed to the hold to empty it by creating the crates and then salvage more. It near doubles the capacity of both salvage ships. Remember though you can not sell from the buffer so you sell what is on the cargo grid then go empty the buffer to the grid and then sell again
Reclaimer needs more livery, be sure to bug report for 3.20 cos it has bugs again
Will definitely be doing reports this is a huge money maker and any bugs I am sure we will find
How far this ship has come......
I cant help but love the reclaimer
The ship desperately needs some better lighting in the cargo area, its really dark. Otherwise nice ship, chilling since 8 days in the Aaron Belt with it and filling it with salvage solo.
Lighting in some areas I agree needs help for sure but you cant help but love this thing
But where would the Xenomorphs be hiding then?
@@JSmith73 lol
@@JSmith73 Crew Quarters XD
I was really hoping the Reclaimer would get into the elite 8 so it would be free to fly coming up. the group game play would of been fun to check out.
Yea I think it didn't only because more people have been able to fly the Vulture so people connected with it more. Also more people probably have the Vulture so they would like the skin on that more I guess.
I agree this is the year for the Vulture with its shiny newness
Not for everyone but definitely an interesting ship
I love my reclaimer just the sheer size is enough for me lol
This glorious beast is in need of a rework but its still amazing without.
That it is
it is now 420 SCU
Xenomorphs when
