It's been a hard slog moving from your old home to this one, but I'm so glad you did. It stands out a mile you love your new home, your so relaxed here already, and there's still tons to be done. Myself and my Hubby did exactly the same thing, and moved down to a smaller home, and it's definitely better once you get used to it, cause yes your bills are cheaper, you put your heating on and it's warm in like 2mins and it stays warm, and it quicker to keep clean. Shauna you’ve hit the nail on the head…. I put the heating on at 5 o’clock as soon as I leave work and I’m home by 5:25 and the house is toasty warm. It’s very different with open plan and when the space is much bigger! This house is so cosy when it’s warm. I love it 🥰 xxx

To be honest Toni, at no time doing that kitchen cleaning video did you put any shame on the previous owner, you just showed how greasy it was, and to be honest it probably wasn’t on his horizon to get up there and clean. So don’t worry about that! Looking forward to seeing the kitchen reveal .

Surprising what a pair of marigolds and bleach can do haha. Could I ask, if you are uploading every day, are you doing these before work. If you are bless you ❤ I agree F & B paints can look so different…..I am painting with Ammonite, one wall looks this colour but the other ones look so much darker!! I didn't think anything about you showing the cleaning of the kitchen. I moved 4 years ago and it had been an elderly couple who lived here since the house was built. Although the rest of the house had been repainted and recarpeted by the old couple couple's daughter, the kitchen was a disaster. I cried when I opened the oven door and couldn't use it for weeks as it took that long for me to clean it. We also had to rip out both bathrooms as they were beyond repair, replace the windows and so much more. The old man died just before we bought the house and the lady shortly afterwards so we never met them. The daughter lived further along the village and would occasionally drive past. We had a local guy from the village doing all the work and the daughter knew him. She knew there was no shade being thrown on her or her parents for the state of the kitchen or bathrooms. She was grieving the death of her father as was her mother when the house went on the market. They just needed the house sold. I loved my house from first sight and now have it just how I want it..The daughter and I eventually met and chatted. She was so happy that her parent's home was again a happy, family home. Morning Lynn, I touched on it as there was around 3 or 4 comments on the kitchen cleaning video referring to the previous owners seeing my video and being embarrassed and one comment referred to “her friends seeing it too and showing her” and it worried me that it had been taken out of context when that was never the case 🥰 I just wanted to share that the extractor wasn’t doing its job and I was ready and prepared to transform the space and save money in doing it and I’m so happy with how it’s turned out. 🥰 I really feel like this is home now and I totally get what you’re saying it’s a bit of time and dedication and it’s soon a beautiful space you can enjoy. I’m glad you settled in your home too 🥰 xxx
