  • The Beretta M9 (officially the "Pistol, Semiautomatic, 9mm, M9") is the designation for the Beretta 92F semi-automatic pistol used by the United States Armed Forces. The M9 was adopted by the United States military as their service pistol in 1985. It won a competition to replace the M1911A1 as the primary sidearm of the U.S. military. It officially entered service in 1990. The Beretta M9/92 features a open slide design similiar to the Walther P38. It is designed and manufactured by italian gun manufacturer Beretta. In 2017 the United States Army announced that a customized version of the SIG Sauer P320 will replace the M9. The full-sized model is known as M17.

      I would say, but different styles different physics, funny enough i, here because a customer wanted to make a mesh of taurus pt 92 and beretta 92fs parts together and have em as a love child. Creative so here i am

      I don't think it is, the falling barrel-hood/Camming block on the Browning design is more simplified and can be made much more durable.. in the world of firearms design, simplicity and durability are usually strived for.

    The Glock is a piece of shit compared to the Beretta M9 / 92FS. The USAF was the first to get them in replacement for the venerable M1911A1 and we loved them! Pick up a M9/92 and the grip feels like it was made from a cast of your hand (L or R), pick up a Glock and it feels like your holding a 2x4 block of wood, NO NATURAL Aim like the M9. Where you look, is where the M9 shoots at even without looking thru the sights! That is how we were taught to shoot in the USAF SOCOM.

    this is amazing but it makes me feel if it comes to a field fight id rather a revolver than worry about all those parts failing. ( btw i know f.a about guns )

      Berettas are about as reliable as any semi automatic pistol ever built. If kept clean and oiled there shouldn’t be any part that fails before 50,000 rounds fired. Never had a jam either. But I do keep a revolver around too!

    Can someone explain the wierd trigger? Ive shot the other day for the first time and im still confused on the functionality of the trigger

    • @3DGunner
      @3DGunner  11 месяцев назад +2

      Hi, the Beretta 92 has a Double Action/Single Action trigger. The first shot is double action, which cocks the hammer and releases it. That is a heavy pull, because the trigger has to cock the hammer. By firing the first and all following rounds, the hammer is cocked by the slide and the trigger is single action, just releasing the cocked hammer. A very light pull, because the hammer is already cocked. I hope that helps.
