Wonderful video! Thank you! I’m a retired US Army Infantryman serving from 1983-2009 and I giggled a bit when you said this was the fastest production armored vehicle. I’m sure it’s technically correct statement so I’m not going to dispute that. However, in 1984-85 while stationed in Aschaffenburg, Germany we had recently received the M-1 Abrams and I remember going on field problems and gunnery exercises where the Abrams was going over 60 MPH. It wasn’t too long before bad accidents started happening no matter what additional training they gave the crews so they adjusted the engine governors to be no more than 45-49 MPH and then accident rates slowed down. Our Bradleys were in a similar situation but only around 50-52 MPH and they were set to 45 MPH maximum. For reference, my MOS was 11H/11B so I drove the M-901 ITV and M-113 so I saw the Abrams fly past me on the autobahn while my engine in the 113 was screaming and doing all it could to do 45 MPH and the Abrams flew past me like I was stopped on the side of the road! I lost a good friend who was an Abrams TC while we were in Iraq 2003-04, he got hit in the chest with an RPG round, he always liked to ride at belt level height in the TC hatch instead of “name tape” height so men, please remember this if you ever join the Army or Marines, we have rules for a good reason. We know our vehicles can be killed if an enemy really wants to so pay close attention to what you’re trained, get in the habit of doing proper procedures in your duty position, being lazy one day could cost someone their life.
Thank you. I'm not sure its either though, this was literally my second build ever for the channel made two years ago! Thanfully, i've come a long way since then!
@KABScaleModelling I'm good. The bad memories are due to having lost a couple mates due to accidents with the Scorpion. I stepped down from M41's to Scorpions. However, I had a blast, and although I had some bad memories, I have to say the good memories outweigh the bad. I have built this model as well, but painted it in bronze green. After watching this, I'll buy another kit and follow your video build.
I'm currently at work and flying back to Australia tomorrow. When I get home I'll take some photos and send them. I reckon Discord must be like messenger. If it is, I'll download the app and notify you via this current video. I just subscribed as well.

Doughnut machine, so much fun to drive 😉👌
Sounds like personal experience!
@KABScaleModelling I was a member of 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards in the late 80s/early 90's, got to drive most of their kit
😉👍
Just discovered your channel and subscribed. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos

very nice build, with plenty of details. I always liked these little tanks. Now I will have to try and find one. Thanks Tam

I think we should gather as many armoured vehicles and tanks as possible, line them all up and have a drag race! 😂

@@KABModels I have never built a tank. To me it looks great. I think camo is difficult to paint so thats kudos right there.
@@scalemodelsnail Well then, send me your address on discord and i'll send a nice easy one over to you so you can have a go :)
Well it is great recon vehicle and this build brought back many good and bad memories. You build video was great to watch you made it look very easy.
Thank you. Sorry to have brought back the bad memories though, hope you're doing ok

@@goodbill55 I'd love to see your build, are you on Discord?
