No, "we" never chose evil. It was Adam who ate of the Tree God warned him nót to eat, as He knew the very moment Adam will eat of that Tree, the entire human race will spontaneously also be affected, influenced.
Rom 3:23 addresses this, and then the good news in the second half of that same sentence: Rom 3:24
Also 1Cor 15:22
God hád to bring Adam in a position as to make a choice, as God Himsélf can make choices.. and we were created in His image, His likeness.
Prov 8:22-31 clearly shows the entire human race existed before Gen 1:26-27
and then Gen 6:5,6
'Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart'.
Already after the fall in the Garden the Seed to come, was prophecied. Gen 3:15 (Christ).
Jesus also was cruicified long before Gen 1:26-27
*In the spirit - Rev 13:8
*In his soul - Matt 26:36
Mark 14:34 Luke & John.
*In his flesh - the cross.
