If you still have this radio, a possible reason for the music cutting off is because many vehicles (possibly yours) have a small factory amplifier for the speakers which are wired to turn off with everything else. If you have one, try wiring the remote wire of the factory amp to the same remote wire on the radio/tablet
I had the 10.1 in a jeep wrangler . One of the speakers wires (front right?) Was reversed in polarity (negative where the positive should go) and that killed the base .. I swapped it and it wss 10x better than factory
Dude is all depends on where you get one from he bought a crappy knockoff off Amazon they're actually good brands of this product at work but if you buy a crappy Chinese knockoff you're going to get what you pay for. On top of that there's a bunch of settings on these units since they are basically a computer that you have to tweak. This guy did none of that which is why half the stuff wasn't working right

Also, the music could be a deal breaker for me, but I wonder if that might have been impacted by not having selected the "Cherokee High" setting? i bought it everything works fine but for better sound i changed out the speakers and i put a 8inch flat sub with built in amp under the back seat so it makes it have like two amps to up the sound mine is all carbon fiber you can order the overlay kit from jho any color for GPS there is a offline navigation that works great for this model an you can use DVR with it overall very good system for the price

Then you lose AC and climate controls since you won't have the back up round old style knobs? Personally, and this is just me, I like the fairly big 8.4 but still the other half having the climate and other old style knob control section. I don't know enough about these newer units so that is also why I appreciate your review as I get to learn about them. The boot time is troubling....

I currently have a Linear Power SQL competition system. I try to replace the head unit periodically to showcase new technology. My current head unit is the Kenwood Excelon DNX995S. It can read more that the 2tb hard drive I currently have connected to the head unit. I am wondering if this unit you are putting through the demo can do the same. I have been spoiled by the Kenwood and do not want to step too far backwards in the advantages the Kenwood has. Not only it's large read capabilities but also it has 4k display which is great because all my music in the hard drive ( currently over 38k songs) are also in MP4 so they all have the live concerts and music videos in full view when playing. What about the setting for the vehicle itself. On my 2014 summit i have a ton of settings like engine off options, rain sensing wipers, how long the headlights stay on after shutting off the car, easy exit seat, changing from US to METRIC, auto high beams ect... do you lose all that functionality?
is this the px3 or px6 version? which android os is this? early units may be buggy, later ones might be better. how is communication, service, and responsiveness of the seller? did you get it from ebay, amazon, or aliexpress?
So, I'm at the sound shop & have the issue of the a/c connector not matching. They are scared to cut the notch to the middle, stating I'll mess up the warranty. I'm having them do it anyway & pray the ac works, like yours did in the video.

Even with the larger screen package they sell I have trouble trying to operate it while driving. I need big buttons if I want to be able to remain focused on the road since there is no tactile feedback like with the old analog way. It looks like though they kept the buttons the same size or even reduced them and threw a bunch of other junk in there to make it even more cluttered. Seriously, why have the A/C controls be in the lower 1/3 of the screen when you open the panel up? Make it full screen, or at least keep a banner maybe for the music. The home button for instance is the size of a fingertip when it there is enough room to triple the size and still have plenty of room. Really software side is pretty disappointing. Maybe in a few years they'll develop better software for it. Why would I want a picture of a Grand Cherokee to take up a whole 1/3 of the screen? They need to take some tips and tricks from Android.

This is how you keep passengers and kids from fooling with your A/C without you noticing. Lol. I leave mine in Auto. Once I set it I leave it at a specific temp and Auto mode makes it hotter or colder as needed.
If there is a malfunction in the sound it is probable that the system of your factory vehicle will be amplified. I think the mistake was not to investigate. Well there are options to choose from in these android systems. It is possible that before buying should consult the seller.

I have one too but it is 13.3", I love it! The boot up time is long but that doesn't bother me. This is a great unit. In my humble opinion.

nav did the same thing but you go to setting advance and set to local then reboot

You need to go into the system setting and turn on some setting for you speakers.

Nah, didn't get that far before the decision was made to revert back to the factory.
