I’m continually amazed at how hard you work and how much you do!! I would love to do so many recipes but at 76 it’s hard for me to stand that long in the kitchen. Thank you for all you share. ❤❤❤
Hi Amber, I still wanted to comment on your last vlog but the day just ran away with me. I so appreciated you sharing your vulnerability & how tired you were. I can so relate! Sometimes we look at other people's lives (especially on social media) & just see the good bits but you sharing the not so great bits made it so relatable. Thank you😊 ps: the socks turned out so great. If you hadn't said anything, no one would have noticed the yarn change😅
What a great job of freestyling finishing the 2nd sock where you lost with yarn chicken. Incredible on your part! I couldn’t have visualized those substitutions. The pecan tart looks fabulous.
I’m also gluten free and dairy free. I also react to GF flour mixes and I have to mix my own. I don’t have celiac dz but my sister and my daughter are also sensitive to gluten and dairy. I do have empathy for you because it’s difficult to cook for other family members who can eat gluten. I’m currently knitting the winter woods pullover and Ingrid man for my husband. I love your podcast and will continue to listen. I live in vermont
Nordic Ware is AMAZING. I have a bit of a Nordic Ware collection (some hand-me-downs from a sweet elderly neighbor who doesn't do as much baking anymore). They're made in Minnesota (which is where I live) and I've shopped at their factory outlet store. Thank you for sharing all the things Amber! You are such a light. Sending all the love ❤❤❤ Take care~Stephanie
I have a few Nordic ware baking forms and they are incredible but it’s very very important that you don’t scrap them with anything so after baking that just with a nice damn tower go through them and that’s it otherwise they could become sticky with time. And thank you that you are so open with your mental health. It is so important quite a few of your videos help me through some hard times. Thank you for taking your time and preparing us was entertainment . I hope my English is understandable since it’s not my mother tongue. I don’t want to offend anyone.
I was the same with bread. If you have a fructose intolerance (which I found by testing- ask for a “breath test”) try eliminating sorghum flour and see how you feel. Best of luck! 🤞🏻 ❤ 🍞 🌾
I was really interested to hear your red sky saying. We have a similar saying here in the UK but we say shepherds rather than sailors, I hadn't hear the sailors version before
thank you for all your inspiration and ideas!! so great. and I have that exact stained glass christmas iron candle holder. it is very old...was my grandmothers! so pretty when lite
Hands down you are my very favorite knitting vlog and the only vlogmas I'm watching every day that you post. Love your sweet family and I appreciate all the effort you put into sharing and posting.
I wanted to respond to you commenting on the support you received to your last podcast. I can appreciate you sharing about your anxieties…my daughter who is 63 years old has had problems with anxiety…she goes for therapy which I am happy that her husband supports her in going. She is a very outgoing with a bubbly personality person….teaches art kindergarten to 2nd grade to all the elementary schools in our town. She recently was in an auto accident where she has had her neck and back fractured in multiple places and her ribs broken. We are so thankful that she is alive and not paralyzed! She will be in a neck brace for about 6 months…her thoughts on that was we need to figure out a way to style her brace..lol. I told her a knitted cowl would only make her run warmer as she is always to hot while I’m freezing.. She was at the Fresno Community Regional Center where the surgeon did her surgery for three weeks…while there she experienced nightmares, her anxiety was through the roof. Flat on her back not able to turn her head…my heart hurt so badly for my girl. But she has a strong faith in our God and has been making wonderful progress❣️. She is back in their home with PT coming in three times a week and twice a week going for OT. They seem to have her pain medication and her anxiety meds to be working… You mentioned caffeine was a problem for you and I want to mention this to her as she was drinking way too many Starbuck drinks… In no way do I expect a reply, I just wanted to thank you for being you.
What your daughter went through is a lot, and even more so for someone who suffers from anxiety! I am glad to hear that she seems to be on the other side of the hardest stuff. Three weeks in a hospital would be torturous for an anxiety sufferer. Wow.
My husband is going gluten-free due to a sensitivity issue, not necessarily full-blown celiac… I picked up the Bakerita cookbook on sale from Amazon and I am so excited to try some of these recipes for Christmas! Everything looks so delicious! And Nordicware makes the most beautiful cake tins… my bundt pan is also from Nordicware and I’ve had it for years… at least 8 years at this point, and it still turns out beautiful cakes!
I think that jar may have been a sugar container with a spoon and lid. That cake will probably be delicious. The glaze sounds so good. Thanks for showing the snow. ❤️
I quite literally just bought that book from this video. I’m also hosting Christmas and that orange glaze cake sounds so intriguing. And! I have that pan! It’s awesome:)
Thank you for responding to my inquiry. Gluten intolerance might not be caused by gluten itself. Carbohydrates called FODMAPs that are in some foods with gluten may play a role.
I'm enjoying your Vlogmases, Amber! Thank you for mak8ng them. I make a cup of tea and grab my knitting and enjoy! A question on your jar bone broth ... do you seal it and store in pantry or do you freeze it in the glass jars?
Hello! I just put it in glass jars and store it in the fridge. I drink a mug of it a day with collagen powder added in, so it goes pretty fast. When I don't think I'll make it through it all in a reasonable amount of time, I freeze it.
Do you have celiac disease. Why else would you go gluten free. My daughter-in-law has celiac and so I do understand about the problem of gluten. But with celiac, you can not even have gluten in the house, it’s not just a matter of not eating it, it gets in the air and can also cause health issues.
There are plenty of us who are gluten intolerant. Wheat has been been changed a great deal over the years. First to get bigger heads for a bigger yield, then to have a stronger stem to holds those heads up. Gluten intolerance has skyrocketed.
I’m continually amazed at how hard you work and how much you do!! I would love to do so many recipes but at 76 it’s hard for me to stand that long in the kitchen. Thank you for all you share. ❤❤❤

Awww. Thanks, Nancy. You're so sweet!
Such a peaceful vibe, thank you!

Yes, I understood your English perfectly!
The beautiful glass vessel was probably a jelly jar which had a spoon and lid at one time. I really enjoy your vlogmas podcasts. Merry Christmas!
Oh, thanks! Never would have thought of that!
You inspired me to cast on Marled DK weight socks!! I love them!!!

It was the caramel sauce that kept separating

That would make sense!

You will love the Bakerita book. Mine is very well-loved and used. I'm so glad you like your pan. I'm excited to use it!!
Thanks, Amber! I love your vlogmas every year! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Enjoyed the vlog very much. I’ve made the DK socks a few time and are great for watching tv ! Need to stop by for your bread and Swedish meatballs!!
I have two Nordic ware pans. You will love it! I have a Nordic ware small scone pan on my Amazon wish list.
That's great to hear! I'm so excited to give it a try!
I love USA pans. Light colored and heavy weight. Great for Gluten free baking. Clean up is a snap!

The jar could have been used for honey with a lid and dipper possibly?
I would love to knit a pair of those socks and wonder if you could mention the pattern again. Love your podcasts!
Oops! Forgot to do that. I will go add the link to the description box. Thanks!
@@alovelyyarnGot it, thank you!
I might be too late but I thought I saw blood orange juice at whole foods.
Are you wearing the Moby sweater? If so, what yarn did you use.
Hello! It is actually a store bought sweater that I thrifted.

Hi Patricia! I will try to remember to explain my gluten situation in my next video! ❤️
