Yeah, I'm definitely in favor of such content. Not only for the cozy nature and camping shots, but also to see these handhelds actually used in the wild (lol), and these games actually played. That's what those things are for, right?

@@TechDweebquick question about retrobat and scraping files. If I use a VPN, while I am scraping boxart, will I still get a copyright strike from my ISP?
The reason I ask, is because I was scraping just boxart with batocera a 2 years ago and I got a copyright strike from my ISP.

While we are camping, we recommend rewinding the tech all the way back to the stone age, then adding back a few creature comforts. Passable bed, stove, and specifically 8 bit videogames.

i think the idea of you making videos about what retro handhelds are good for different activities or types of traveling would be cool. What features might be good on a bus, train, plane, passenger seat of a car, driving a car(lol), for different types of work, work from home, in bed. "my favorite hadnhelds to use in bed before falling asleep" things like that.

I wouldn't mind more camping gear content. Though I've always enjoyed it, the camping & hiking bug really bit hard last year. Just last week I was in Oregon for work purposes and took a couple extra days to go hiking (Cape Falcon on the coast and Mt. Hood the other direction). Had a blast. Admittedly, I wasn't camping (just day trips to hiking locations), so took along the RP3+ and left it in the hotel while out. Having something smaller and lighter for when I actually am camping would be great. Thanks for the video!

    • @TechDweeb

Years ago the wife and I had been interested in backpack camping but having two little rugrats limited our time and ability to do so. The last time I went camping the worst part was waking up with a puddle of water in the tent and everything soaked (I'd probably like the hammock setup though) but the thing I did like was cooking over a fire. Back in civilization I got into cooking on the grill for a while and even made a mini charcoal chimney starter out of a metal flour sifter I found at a Good Will store that worked super well.

I used to go day hiking all the time. Never summoned the courage for overnight camping. I miss it a lot, so I love seeing your camping experiences. One main reason I've resisted purchasing the RG Nano is that I don't consider 2 to 2-1/2 hour battery life enough. I know you have a recharging device, but I'd rather not have a device that would require it. I'm happy with my RG280V as my pocketable device, because I have a small case that only adds a bit of bulk while protecting it. Edit: that charging device looks really interesting!
