Thanks for posting. I did discover the metal pop out bit, based on experiences changing the ignition barrel, and assumed it would have a similar anti removal mechanism, but even with that released, the lock turns just in the hole, but won't pull out, I think it may be rusted in, but at least I now know there are no other things holding it in, so thanks again!
Might have been a while ago you posted this but nice one for the hint about smashing it with a screwdriver and hammer 👍🏻 felt like it shouldn’t have needed it but certainly did.
Think yourself lucky. Im trying to remove the very lock youre installing because its had it, but the key doesnt work. Anti pick and anti drill means No key, no turn. No turn, no pressing pin. No pressing pin, lock cant withdraw. Ive been trying to drill the pin out for weeks from inside the door and ive barely scratched the surface. Only answer seems to be a whole new door, but they always have locks in them and no key. Back to square one. Its a really serious design problem .
Hi! My Key doesn't work correctly. I'm tried many times to make it turn but without success. The question is: how can I get out the lock without the key?
Cheers for this. Was scratching my head till I saw the video. Used my hammer and an old screwdriver and it worked a treat. 👍
Excellent!
Many thanks for sharing...My one wouldn’t push in either .Had to drill the barrel out after hours of trying the proper way... Cheers...

Thanks 👍
Only thing is, you don't want to go messing up the rest of the lock.
Thanks buddy, I think you've just saved me a lot of heart ache!
Thanks for this. Having the exact same issue. The trusty iron persuader it is then!!👍
Thanks mate, a great video and helped me out big time.
absolutely helped me out, thanks a lot

Is that lock a slam lock or do u have to lock it with they key provided?
You have to lock it manually.
(Remember it's really not going to be used much anyway if you've got central locking. I grease mine every couple of months as they suggest.)
William Davies 👍🏻....oh so the existing central locking locks it anyway?
@@neilpalmer9691 yes, the lock just acts as normal, but is far better at keeping chavs out of your van :)
William Davies great, Im definitely upgrading to this. Not sure I can do it myself 🤣 so I’ll probably get some quotes for fitting👍🏻
the lock turns to the right. then left to pull out
Yeah your right turn key right then push in pin. Turn left the whole barrel then turns and pulls out.
