How have I never watched this video!! Here are some tips that have helped me. 1. I draw a box around my design and it helps with getting the logo on straight and using the ruler to measure down from top. 2. I taped my powder scoop to a chopstick to reach down in the bag. 3. If I don't know the answer I hit up Reno King. Great video and appreciate you talking to the little guys in the business.
I am just now beginning the powder coating process. I have an oven, powders and my coater is on the way. Thank you so much for this comprehensive video process! I did not know about the heat torch need, thankfully I have one. Thanks again!
Nice job on the tumblers! I also have nothing but great things to say about Columbia Coatings, amazing customer service. Good luck with your shop, look forward to seeing more!
Missed the info on the tape and suplier.. It would help if a link of suppliers and products could be attached to your vids ... it would prevent “”New Loyalists”, like myself from asking too many questions 😅, don’t wanna become a pain in the neck for you. As all the vids I’ve seen of your jobs, another great one 👌🏻. Tks
Appreciate you putting this out there as it seems to be some big secret on how to do these things to most others. You should do videos on specs and how you made the booth and big oven if you have a chance
Armour Koating completely understand man, I’ll be looking forward to it if you have time and I’ll be watching all your stuff in the meantime. Looking to start a little business doing powder soon so thanks greatly for the informative videos
Correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression you are not to touch or turn the base while it is electrically charged or you will get shocked but you are coating and turning the base at the same time.
greetings from edmonton alberta, great videos, great information. i as well have a garage im working out of for now. like you, im hoping to turn this into a full time job. looking forward to more videos.
Wayne Madsen hello. I just started a group page on FB called “powder KOATING kings” It’s for people that is helped me start my business and people that I have help start their business please check us out and look at a lot of good info from us
I'm still getting mad bubbles around the lower ring on coated polar camels. We laser a design in the black then add a transparent coat. Columbia T1797018 candy orange TGIC. I used the touch and still issues. All I can do is open the oven after 2 mins and use a exacto knife to pop them then let it finish baking. Any other tips on the ring bubbles?
Maybe you already have and I haven’t seen it yet but would you be willing to make a video about your oven build? Basically going over what material you used and how you did it. Mainly wiring and how the whole thing operates? I’m trying to build one myself and the wiring is where I get lost! I’d appreciate it a lot!
Looking forward to watching more of your videos. I am in the beginning stages of trying to start a powder coating business to do when I retire for a little extra cash.
I am sure I will have some questions for you. I already have a Blue M 336C oven that I picked up from a industrial surplus company in Ohio. My wife bought me a Eastwood dual voltage powder coat gun but I am not very impressed with how it performs. Just from watching you use the Columbia Coatings gun I can tell I need to try and put some cast together to buy a good gun.
I use a standard oven to do my cups. I would like to bake 2 cups at a time to speed the process up when doing multiple cups of the same color. Do you see any reason why this wouldn't work? I was worried about cups curing correctly. Awesome video's by the way.
Ryan Williams no reason to worry. I have used a house oven every since I started. It is quick and easy. And if you are worried about curing times just leave it in there for an extra 10 minutes.
Charles Clark as a paint mask info. I use Avery high temp vinyl paint mask. Adobe illustrator for design and a titan3 for cutting it. Then when in the oven it is between 30seconds and 1:30 then I pull the vinyl.
We have since started using an actual microphone and we try to remove noise in post. check out our newer videos! the sound quality has improved! thanks for watching!

Very nice, thank you for your contribution to the DIY community. What lazer engraver did you get?
I used to have an epilog zing 24 but go rid of it a few years ago. Don’t do any more engraving at the moment
Great video. Can you tell me where you purchased the silicone inserts that you have for the 3 cup sizes?
Columbia Coating’s
