They do most of their mess in dark areas and where the hay is, but they're by no means litter trained haha! Burgess excel pellets are okay, though they do swell a lot inside their tummies (they absorb water). Cold pressed pellets are much healthier (rosewood meadow menu, Jr farm..)
Hi you could use baby carpol or infant neoprene for maybles pain, my vet, books and Internet say it's safe for guinea pigs and rabbits , you just have to weigh them and you give them the right amount due to the body weight of them twice a day, you can give between 0.1cc -0.4cc I give my 1kg piggie 0.3cc it was worked out by my vet and for my piggie less then 1kg I give 0.2 and it was safe. you could also use oxbow timothy hay adult pellets for mayble. Do you always keep the guinea pig play area next to the play house covered with plastic and what you have on top of that, is it for shade. what happened to the tarpaulin. I really like all your videos and really enjoy them too, I also think you look after your animals really well.
Ps I wonder if the back molars or mouth scabs from a fungal infection might be at the root of Multi not eating her hay? I once read that these are major causes of a sudden refusal to eat hay. Best wishes with her vet appointment.

I suggest harringtons optimum guinea pig pellets (in waitrose I think) they are really great and they have recently significantly reduced the amount of calcium in their pellets which is great. also even if it's just a small amount I would suggest feeding pellets as it ensures they get the right amount of vitamins and minerals which you cant do other wise. you cant tell who eats what veg for example some might never be eat the pepper (source of vitamin c) which means they will get Ill more often.
That is what I used to feed all my pigs, and now just Multy. The problem is that they swell in the guinea pigs stomach - these pellets absorb water, here is an experiment I did: petspalacetv.wix.com/petcareguide#!Are-pellets-healthy/c1u8l/578f98e80cf26df1ae5c21d2 The common heat pressed pellets contain natural vitamins at first, however when they are pressed into the pellets, they lose all the important healthy vitamins because of the high temperatures, therefore vitamins are artificially added which can be even more harmful because they then get an over supply of these vitamins. Packaging is often misleading because it claims that the pellets contain all vitamins/minerals etc, but this is just to get people to buy the product. With a herd of 9, you can not guarantee that they will all get an equal amount of pellets either :) Guinea pigs look very different from their wild relatives, however their digestive systems still work the same, and in the wild they would not be consuming pellets :) so all required vitamins & minerals can be found in plants. Hope that didn't come across in a bad way, just wanted to help by sharing what I have researched xx
get her some timothy hay it is good for her urinary tract if you have a walmart you can get fortifi-diet timothy hay and get them some chew toys for guinea pigs and bunnies

She already feeds them and she wants to change to a different brand.
+GuineaZania she is only feeding them to multy- hence why she said 'ahhh you've taken them away from us'

hopefully I am going to get a guinea pig soon but I wouldn't know what forage to get and I have a very big garden
