Covered everything been a long time since I had to use a puller. One question ,my Buick lacerna V6 2008 is running for about 30 minutes and quites + key want turn all the way out and the shifter want come out of park with out pushing both resets. The car will start back after setting a while and I've replaced the return fume level sensor that was broke off. Can it be the crank sensor harmonicbalace??? Thanks and very good video real professional.
So now you need a puller to remove a Buick balancer? Too bad. I have removed balancers from 198, 225, 215, 300, 340, 350, 364, 401, 425, 400, 430, and 455 Buick engines with a gentle tap and a tug. I wonder why Buick decided to press on their balancers on the 3800 like a Chevy or Ford engine after all these years? I guess the precise machining of the 50s, 60s and 70s has fallen by the wayside. Heck these old Buick engines did not even require exhaust manifold gaskets until you had to remove and replace the manifolds.
I did my sensor I thought I aligned harmonic balancer with the key but I didn't so I have some key groves on the harmonic balancer do I need to replace it
He didn't have to bump the starter to remove that crankshaft bolt? I've done about 3 on these 3.8l V6's... One was so tight that my most powerful air impact wouldn't release it... I put a socket and breaker bar on the bolt, zip tied the breaker bar into some suspension parts a with two quick bumps of the starter, it was loose. Kinda spooky way to do it!
Quick 15minute removal. If you find that nothing works to remove a frozen bolt a last resort is to Oxy cut the bolt remove the balancer & threaded bolt. Stupid GM idea !! Also you tighten the bolt to 170Nm NOT any more than that!!!!

What type of wheel puller did you get ? did it come with the pushrod?
So how do you stop the crank from spinning when spinning the middle puller bolt?
Do water run from the crankpully

You do not show details of how that really works even when you install new parts you never start up the car to show if it works
Damn I wish I had your brains and knowledge but my crankshaft pulley won't go back on my buick lacrosse 😢😤😤😤🤯
