    The reason why I picked this as my faction not for the super commander. I chose them because I like the idea of my army being mercenaries and getting hired to fight for a planets governor or something like that. I really even play with my commandos.

      The Commandos aren't the best, and probably the way to play is to build like you do. But I like both, probably picking up Cad Bane soon so I can put some more variety in my lists

    This is some great advice for new players, glad you’re making this content!
    If any new players are reading this, my biggest unsolicited piece of advice would be to remember it’s an objective based game! You don’t need to build a list hyper-optimized to kill, you can build a list with good utility and flexibility, or take a large bid and construct a tricky battle deck that you are good at while most armies aren’t… or just make clever plays when shooting seems like the five-head obvious play but you can see something better.
    Mostly commenting for the algorithm but I also wanted this comment to have some thought put into it.

    Just started this army after finishing my republic army. Super psyched to use the independent mechanic since i been playing a clone gunline for 2 years. My main strat hopefully is to use the swoop bikes with comms jammer so both me and my opponent have to pull from the order pool except im the one who actually benefits from random orders 😂

    Love the videos man and I can't wait to see some more Legion content! I'm wondering if you are planning on covering shadowpoint when it comes out in a couple of months?

    That's awesome! I have been wondering about the Shadow Collective.
    Can I put Shadow Collective units in to my Empire army for example?
    I also really love the idea of putting the transport in the army, I hadn't realised it could be fielded with this army.
    See you in the next video mate! :)

    • @Wargamerofalltrades
      @Wargamerofalltrades  Год назад

      You can put some of the mercenary units in your empire army! The Pykes and Black Sun, along with both bounty hunters can be used by them.
      There will be a video breakind down every mercenary unit after I finish all the main factions, thanks for the encouragement!

  • @robertroy7818
    @robertroy7818 Год назад +1

    With Super Mandolorians having decent ranged and melee output where a lot of units don't have any melee profiles at all, would they be a good vanguard unit to blast away and then charge in along side someone like Maul? It seems a waste to not use that profile when you are paying for it and while I'm still unfamiliar with Legion rules I imagine there are benefits to tagging units.

    • @Wargamerofalltrades
      @Wargamerofalltrades  Год назад +1

      Melee in legion is tricky, especially since you usually have lightsaber users on the opposite side. I have gotten some good charges off and there are reasons to use it, but you can only get away with it if an enemy unit is exposed really.
      As far as using them as a vangaurd, they do work as one but for the points you spend on them you really want to try to keep them alive. If you aggressive move them somewhere at the start of activations your opponent has the rest of their activations to kill that unit. I find it's best to try and activate them last or use them as a deterrent piece.

      @@Wargamerofalltrades Thank you for the response! All good to know, I am still very new so a lot of the more meta understanding of tactics in this game is a mystery to me.

    • @Wargamerofalltrades
      @Wargamerofalltrades  Год назад +1

      It isn't necessarily a meta more a hard learned lesson. Their are times where charging is good, but since you only have two actions and they don't get a free attack it just becomes more situational

      @@Wargamerofalltrades Ahhh, I am very used to Warhammer where move/shoot/charge/fight are all very normal. I really need to re-evaluate exactly how much of an impact actually only being able to do two things a turn impacts stuff

    • @Wargamerofalltrades
      @Wargamerofalltrades  Год назад +1

      That is the biggest learning curve I had to. Getting into this and playing 40k can jumble the brain lol, but I love both systems so it is worth it. Definitely a very different experience

    • @ButchersNailsEnjoyer
      @ButchersNailsEnjoyer Месяц назад

      He can be both. If you equip him with the dark saber he’s a commander but if you run him with just his red saber he’s an operative

    I just don't understand why maul isnt a leader

    • @Wargamerofalltrades
      @Wargamerofalltrades  Год назад

      He originally released as an Operative for the CIS army, which is a good fit for him. With the Dark Saber he is considered a Commander though so it does balance out, and you do want to take it.
