- Denis E. Waitley (born 1933), is an American motivational speaker, writer and consultant.[1] He has been recognized as the best-selling author of the audio series, The Psychology of Winning and books such as "Seeds of Greatness" and "The Winner's Edge".[2] Waitley has been inducted into the International Speakers' Hall of Fame.[3]
Early life and education
Waitley was born in San Diego, California. His mother was a factory worker and his father worked in a warehouse, after serving during World War II. Waitley's parents divorced when he was ten and he had little contact with his father thereafter. He attended the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis and became a naval aviator after graduation. Waitley received his Bachelor's of Science degree from the Naval Academy.[4][5]
Career
After leaving the Navy, Waitley became a financial public relations representative for an electronics company. Later, he was offered a job by Jonas Salk to be a fundraiser at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies.[5] In 1976, Waitley recorded some of the audiotape that would become The Psychology of Winning at a local church. He released the audio program in 1978, which has sold more than 2 million copies and generated $100 million in sales.[4] During the 1980s through 2000's, Waitley released more than 15 books such as Seeds of Greatness, The Winner's Edge and Empires of the Mind. In 2007, Waitley announced his retirement from the board of directors of Usana after Usana failed to verify some of Waitley's claimed qualifications..[6][7]
Waitley was also a founding member of the National Council for Self-Esteem and a former chairman of psychology for the U.S. Olympic Committee's Sports Medicine Council.[8]

I found this book in 2010 and it helped me lots. It just hit me that it was probably on RUclips by now 😂. Since pretty much everything is. Stuff we'd NEVER have access to back then. Plus, my demographic would've NEVER heard about this stuff back then. Even now maybe, unless they conned your dumb ass into doing AMWAY or HERBALIFE or any of that MLM crap. I use ALL this but for my personal ambitions goals and keeping straight in general.

9 months ago this video helped get my mindset in a better direction. The stress I was experiencing was severely overwhelming. I was driving for Uber and that morning I had to drive till the early hours of AM just to have enough money to pay for parking and food the next day. I didn’t have a choice. And I was so exhausted.
Tonight, 11:39PM 5/21/24 I’m back to be greatful for this video. Here is to another full listen. I’m healthier now. I eat better now. I sleep better, ended the night shift schedule.

first came across Dennis back in the 90s, forgot how power his words are. Making basic notes of what he says. Put them somewhere you regularly see them. And use it as a guideline for life.

I was just listening to the Jerry Gilles book "MoneyLove" on YT & he mentioned Dennis. So good to see this content was transferred from VHS videotape. I remember when Sony Betamax came into effect. We rented video tapes every weekend. Never thought a day would come when we would be streaming everything mostly for free. Not bad.
