I agree that it seems strange to put the test last when the series could possibly be decided by then. Is it absolutely set in stone that we have to combine tests and limited overs? When this format started, I liked it because it seemed like a good way to preserve the status of women's test cricket. But there's greater interest in playing women's tests now. In my ideal world, the Women's Ashes would just be a 3 test series. Then there could be a separate limited over competition (3 T20 & 3 ODI) called something like the Lanning-Edwards Trophy.
I'm also really worried about the test match at the MCG. The MCG looks great with a big crowd, but awful with a smaller crowd. That smaller crowd could pack out another venue and look WAY better.
