I have only been out across the dyke and back. It was too crazy for me being out exposed in the sun like that for so long. I wore a big hat and it was still too much. I'm glad to see you wearing protective gear. It's like a Mario sun chasing you sometimes out there haha. Didn't realize the trail went so far !! So pretty.
Ya that sun sure can be brutal hopping across those rocks! I always want to stay safe with the elements, no matter what they are! Glad you enjoyed seeing the rest of it.
I didn't find the parking too bad it was along a road right near the end of the dike. So I would say get there a bit earlier since it is also somewhat near a beach and has a tiny bit of overlap with that. Not a true parking lot. Right near this rotary goo.gl/maps/CNpNuAeWijABsn3r5

That was my favorite place to visit when I lived there. I have many fond memories of ptown.
It's such a cool spot with all the dunes and beaches!
