I've always wondered if range balls were made to an '80% of normal distance spec' as many people believe, or if the reduced distance is just a consequence of the manufacturing process to produce a harder wearing ball. I would be interested to hear your opinions on this.
I think it’s a mixture of a durable cover with a sub standard dimple pattern, and then a lower quality core. Standard golf balls usually create a core which encourages better ball flight but these range balls looked like garbage! 👍🏌️♂️
