Keep grinding in tourneys... and can you answer this for me (mew follower) and others: Do WSOP rings earn you entry into the Main Event?
Some constructive criticism for these tourney vlogs: put up the numbers of the final table payouts somewhere so you can see them always or just update us on the payouts with every bust out. Also, don't put the amount you won in the title as it's a spoiler cuz once you got to third we knew you were gonna busy. I know the big numbers In the title help the views but maybe you could put something like "$50,000 to first" type thing. Anyway keep up the good work man love the vlogs and keep sun running.
Yeah I was a little disappointed with the payout spoiler in the title too.
But I think that’s how he draws in the views.
Same as Ryan depaulo ey
for SEO purposes, you gotta keep the click baits in the title unfortunately.
LOL Rampage I was in the bike and Armenian Mike was telling how some Rampage kid called my AK jam with KQ suited, HE WAS MAAAAAAAAAD. COMPLAINED ABOUT IT ALL DAY LMAO. Definitely tilted him.
words can't describe how bad that KQdd call for 30 bigs is. lol. i don't know who told u that should be a theoretical snap call
Lol RUclips pro in the comments. Exploitative fold like that can work against the nits you play against in your low stake games, but in theory for 35bb BB shove you should be calling KTs+, 44+ and even KQoffsuit on the button in a chipEV spot.
BB never has a premium when he shoves over 30bigs if he is a good player. All the best hands 3bet for value and to induce so he doesn't have AA, AK, KK, QQ, etc.
By watching this video, I learned that the secret to winning a poker tournament is to jam three horseshoes directly up your rear end ahead of time.
I have literally never seen a sun run quite like this. Getting it in bad consistently and winning every pot is so insane to me 😂😂 Congrats Rampage!
If you never seen it, you don't play enough tournament poker.
This might be the most insane run good I've ever seen
That runner runner straight against trips had me weak 😂
I’ve never seen anything like this. I imagine he feels on top of the world.
He needed it after some of those recent unlucky losing sessions
the guy wins the next tournament he’s in i’m pretty sure 😂
@@Troy_Story are you kidding!
He’s called ace high twice on Camera for tens of thousands of dollars. Ace high. That is not unlucky. That is stupidity
KQs is def not an easy snap call for 30bb when this is probably a top 5 stack at this stage of the tourney. This is going to be an easy fold with 11 left and jamming ranges being closer to live ranges than proper jamming ranges
Too many people only jamming the top of their range there, kq is almost always dominated in my experience. Flip at best
Yeah but I’ve been consistently snapped AK vs Villians KQ in huge spots. Ethan is a luckbox. If I played like him I’d be a reverse millionaire. Meaning stuck a Million
KQ is absolutely a fold in that spot. Its not even close to a call.
1.2mil vs 1mil in chips and calling for all of it. Lmao why would you want to collide w the other big stack with KQ. This is icm suicide
Facts bro when he said easy call I was like wtf rampage
6:00
Calling a re-raise with A3 seems so, so bad. Even raising with this is probably a bit off, though ICM pressure might make it defensible.
That KQs for 30 bbs seems like a MASSIVE punt.... Am I crazy here?
It is
Not crazy at all...seems like a really bad play. Which is fine, we all do it. But he went against his live read too. He also said "in theory this is an easy snap call" which I definitely disagree with. 13 left in a big tournament and you have 1.2M stack and you call off 1M with KQ to a "snap all in" from a player that he said his live read told him he would not go all in lightly. I don't know the average stack at this point, but seems like bad call with KQ because it is dominated by many of the hands a 30BB stack would shove with, a slight underdog at best vs A High hands. Really just praying for a coinflip with 90% of your stack at risk. But considering this was the night after that HCL stream, I'm happy for him that he ran good!
No lmfao, it’s definitely losing
Playing against good players folding KQs is burning money there. Equilibrium says call with KTs fyi
KQ , 22 ... to many no sense plays
What exactly was that 22 shove about? Completely dominating final table position and you decide to shove into an open from the ONLY player at the table with a real chance of catching you chip wise. If it was an open from one of the short stacks MAYBE I could get behind a shove there. But why risk giving the second chip leader a FULL double up?
The whole tournament he was essentially clicking buttons. Awful decisions but ran like god
Yes, my exact thoughts too.
I too am astonished by this shove. Can make a call sure, but shoving that there, wtf? It's ashame because I think he wins or gets 2nd at least if he just slowed down a bit here, grab the occasional blinds, let the others Duke it out for the most part, you have the chip stack, you don't have to shove these shitty hands. Basically from the 22 hand, the cards played statically as they should have, not like the whole tournament up to that point. It's incredible how his bad decisions were rewarded so much this tournament until this point. This was the point where his bad decisions stopped rewarding him, and played out like they normally would in real life, not play land.
@@twassell25 Yeah his other decisions were questionable but not nearly as much so as in this spot. If he calls there he can easily find a fold on the flop of all over cards and keep his dominating chip lead.
He was trying to be hyper aggressive and control the table but not a great decision while playing turbo
Easily the luckiest run I've ever seen...in my life... and I'm a dealer.
Going all in with deuces was the turning point of the tournament at least you got a good cash in the tournament and knocking out opponents left and right
Rampage- you run like you just bought in to an online poker site. Thanks for the videos!
😂😂😂👌top comment hhaha
Hilarious
3k views in a half hour that's awesome rampage your skills are more than poker!! Your personality really translates well through the camera! Keep it up
Thanks for sticking around Brent :) it means a lot
Such sunrun, unreal. And lol at KQ being a snapcall with 30 blinds at that stage of the tournament against a top 5 stack. Massive punt.
Great run Ethan! Always good to see you BINK, lol. I could feel the excitement in your voice as you enjoyed the many different spots you got into and came out of. Your rational of different situations is showing the maturity you have achieved since you began blogging. Glad your education is paying off! I always enjoy your blog. Hats off, cheers!
absolutely WILD run. Good to see you bounce back from that loss so fast!!! (also finally posted again you kept me motivated and thinking about it so TY!!)
Your play style favors tournaments! Yes, luck plays a role, but obviously you’re learning to navigate the tournament field better. Congrats on another W!
Did you not see how many 30/70 he won during the magical run
@@taks6738 I know right, idk who told him KQ suited was a snap call for 30+ BB’s with 2 tables left but I think that was a horrible call especially considering his his stack size and position in the tournament. That would’ve drove me crazy if I was the guy with AK.
@@j0eYzZ he’s the absolute worst- most winning- player I’ve ever seen in my life.
Thats what it takes to win. Even if you had to win 20 hands where you were 70/30, you would have extremely lucky to win them all.
@@alexbentley486 is he a winning player tho? It would seem like it based off of his videos but who’s to say he’s not losing even more than what we see on camera.
That’s awesome rampage that’s very generous of you .. also love to see your progression…keep up the great work both on and off the felt
This guy is the Punt king. Thinks top pair is good in every situation and makes weird all in moves because he thinks the other guy wilL fold all the time.
Keep playing tournaments I love it!!!! Keep it up in the cash streets too you kill it brother!
That was so fun to watch. Congratulations on another great upload !
If rampage wasnt running so good, he wouldn’t have made it even close to the final table with the way he played
Yes but that's how you win tournaments or the blinds will eat you. The one all in I didn't like was 22s at the end
Your play style is super fun to watch. Your money, your choices, and it’s very fun seeing some terrible calls hit while hearing how you think about it. Playing poker in the comments is always easier, great tournament!
Happy for you! Thanks for all the videos.
Leaves with a cliffhanger, spoils results in the title in part 2.. That's a real 1head move, Ethan..
Wow! Talk about running pure! There's no other high as awesome as knocking player after player out and soaring into the final table! Wish you could have found a fold with that AQ at the end but still an amazing run brother. Congratulations!
Love the vid Ethan but I really wish it wasn't spoiled in the title, could have just used a teaser like "Can we go all the way and win £45k?!" That way it actually makes it exciting to watch as viewers as otherwise, any all ins etc we know you will win them up until a certain point :'(
Agreed
Hi Ethan, what’s up? Finally the wait is over to see part 2 of the tournament. You did good overall. Congratulations on making the final table. Too bad you didn’t win that ring. Making third is nothing to sneeze at. You can pat yourself on the back. You should be proud for your accomplishment. In my book you’re still a winner. Cheers🥂Peace🌹
Ayyyyy I was waiting for this video. Good stuff!
I've been waiting a whole day for this
gg, the deuces was a pretty huge mistake though, and the last hand is just never a bluff, gotta let that one go.
Congratulations buddy really adjusting really well to the tournament grind😊😁😁😁😁
Congratulations Ethan and always great to win some tournament. Love ❤️ from Malaysia.😊
Bang bang! Binks away! Always excited to see your notifications pop-up! Hope all is well my dude. Can't wait to meet you!
My boy Justin :)
Good stuff. Fortune favors the bold, you'll get another ring with your style of play. Keep up the good work and entertaining videos!
Idc what anyone says about your play , your extraordinary ability to punt masssive stacks is amazing. So just keep your foot on the gas and keep applying maximum pressure until your out of chips . Btw the pocket 22 hand was my favorite 😉
You must have done a deal with the devil. In twenty years of playing poker I haven't been the beneficiary of 1/10 the amount of luck you've enjoyed since you started this vlog. You are truly living that luckbox life, Rampage. Enjoy it while it lasts!
He also plays a lot more hands than you, I would suspect.
@@joyride1598 speaking from experience, are you? Anyway, there's no need to go getting your knickers in a twist, you're obviously right, the young man runs real bad... Not that running good in Poker is a bad thing! I'm guessing he should change the merch slogan to "Not living that luckbox life", huh? lol.
Watching you make terrible decision after terrible decision but still getting lucky is hilarious to watch. Truly shows how much skill in poker you have 🤣
That was a hell of a run. I do think that sometimes when you’re near the end like that that you over push it sometime. I know that the play with the pocket twos was ok’d by your coach but I think it was an unnecessary play. With the amount of chips that you had compared to the table it was an unwarranted play. I think you were on a winners tilt. But how much can I really say, I’m just a lowly vlog watcher and you have won 3 or 4 tournaments. So keep up the good work. But I truly believe that this tourney was yours to lose. Great content brother!
Wow the A7 VS A3 was unreal. Very similar to one of my poker memories. What a 🌞 run , congratulations from across the pond 🏴 bro
I remember when you were giving away chips for a random commenter. Now you’re chucking out buy ins and vacations. Congrats on the growth.
That pocket deuces hand... Whew! As soon as I saw the ducks and the guy had already raised I said, "No....fold. This is really how's he's going to not win first place? Because he's going to jam deuces for more than half his stack? AaawwwwwwggggghHHHHH!!!" Ethan. Man. If you do get called, any random unsuited two cards can beat you by the river unless you spike a two outer. For more than half your tournament stack of $5M chips...it's just an awful play. Just awful. I hate that you did it because it absolutely cost you 1st place and I really wanted that for you. Good win for what you got, but you really need to think differently about spots like that. 22 was not nearly a strong enough hand to be jamming your whole stack there against the other bigger stack at the table.
The Russell Westbrook analogy had me on the floor laughing! Congrats on another bink!
I think he meant Steph
It would be appropeaux if Westbrick could hit the corner of the backboard and pop up and in the basket. 10x
Dude stop min raising
Just found you and instantly subbed. Love what your doing with engaging your community with flying them out to the strip. Your actual content is dope love how you explain your thought process and how you break down your play. If I wasn't down bad I'd be a member but good luck on your endeavors! Support from Jax FL.
Wish you all good luck in whatever you do.
Love the vlogs! Congrats on the score. Hoping to make it a meet up game all the way from NC!
Where from NC? We play a lot of poker private games down here
Rampunts with that 2-2 for 45 bigs 😆
You’re obviously disappointed at not taking first but $19k is a big win in my book. Love your comment about “being relatively aggressive”, ha, you’re Rampage man!
hey athan! been watchjing you for awhile now and bought merch a few times i think it would be sick if you and mariano did a yearly game in vegas. just an idea. wishing you the best know this is an older video but always great content when it is from you. hope all is well and you keep killing it!
Great run. Your commentary is really good.
LOL that runner runner A7 vs A3 was sick, I'd love to hear the table reaction to that one
Hell Yeah! Think I’m one of the first to not only wait but watch this! Thank You so much for all the videos and hard work 🙏💕
My man John, thank you :)
Love the videos! That Pocket Dueces hand was hard to watch, and might be approved but pretty much being crushed by anything that calls. Puntttt
9:19 dealer doesn't burn before peeling river. Might have been part of the sun run. We'll never know! Lol
Definitely burned. There’s an edit. Look at the burn pile
@@njpanyca thanks! My GF immediately pointed that out when I showed her the clip.
That was fun to watch!
Congrats on your win Ethan congrats bud
Love your videos dude!!
Hated the jam with the deuces. Better spots and sometimes preservation is better than aggression
Thought it was a good ICM spot, unsure though
What an awesome contest, thanks for offering this.
glad youre in nicholas :)
Good call on the River. The 22 hand was the issue, in the hands I saw.
While watching I was thinking of bluffing both river spots you bluffed in the early part of the video with the EXACT SAME SIZING 😂 was funny enough for me to drop this comment
On the KQ 💎The way the guy slides his chips over for the camera after you landed the K on the river. 😂
Congrats on the win!
Solid run rampage!!
Can’t jam pocket 2s there with a massive chip lead…. I would’ve liked to see you play a little more passive when you are a heavy favorite to win.
What do you consider the major shift in your game especially with your massive run you have been doing in tournaments? Was it a book, a program, a private mentor? I am looking to move from a recreational player to a serious part timer.
I am sure I have played more tournaments than Ethan by magnitudes and have never run so well. I have always hoped to
Have a “birthday” run but is very exciting to see!
Congrats man! I'll just support you by watching your videos I work 90 hours a week truck driving and they have a shortage of truck drivers so I won't have time but thanks for the chance 😊💙
Idk but the very last hand was a fold for me. You open up , they both called , check the flop and turn. Good turn for you , 100% bet , but when he check raised it start looking sus. I would have called and in position would see what happens. When he jams the river I putted him on 2 pair 80% of the time K/9 A/7 etc . Unlucky, very gross spot to be, next time will do better. Great run !
This was a banger!! 👍
His thought process is as clear as his facial skin ... Especially with preflop all in calls .
The AQ hand at the end is a clear fold
Good run Ethan !
Just joined the members. Excited!!!
Welcome jammer :)
Thx bro, hope to see you in Vegas.
Wow. That A-3 vs A-7 was so sick.
So insane
I’m a bad person for that
That Westbrook reference is so great, you know he won’t make the 3.. unless something crazy happens, just like how the river gets you the straight. lmao
wow the skip cue... high level Rampage bravo
kept thinking this was the event with you giving a bad beat to Maria Ho lol. gotta wait for the next videos!
I'm sure we are all waiting to watch him beat Ho
Nice run my guy! Another bink is in the near future
Congratulations on 3rd place. Awesome video.
Wow just insane! Sun Running like a god through that field!
Wow, all in with pocket deuces was a very high risk considering who was in the hand while you're the chip leader. Calling to see the flop would almost always be the best case here unless you were short stacked.
He probably had flushbacks from his first big win tournament last hand winning with 44 against AX . He thot he might do it again even he got called.
I hate when bad play gets rewarded… except when it’s Ethan lol. Nice meeting you at Cherokee!
I had to spit out my water when you binked the straight with A-3 off over the set of 7's. YUCK but gg secure the bag!
Congrats sir! Thanks for the videos.
Wow!!!!!!! Crazy hands, that’s poker for you
I'm not sure I would count on people understanding ICM at a final table in this setting when considering the 22 jam four handed. I could be completely wrong of course. Very nice run though! Congrats man.
One of the sickest sunruns ever witnessed!
Nice run Ethan
sweet run
He played Korays WSOP ME winning hand 😂 GG Ethan!!!
At 9:20 the dealer doesn’t burn a card on the river? That doesn’t seem right or is it edited?
great lay down on the aj
Thought I'd seen it all till I seen that A&& hand...Jesus Christ 🤣...always good to see you run good man keep at it
Sick run !
Ethan, those friggen ducks aghh
wow love these tournaments .
Our guy needs to be taught how to drive a manual so he can learn to change gears. Big congrats on your deep run, Ethan!
