My 6yr old daughter came across this video a few weeks ago, she has been asking me if we could make this probably 10 times a day. I finally caved and did it tonight, and we are both pleased with it. She's SO exited to use this bread tomorrow to make her a sandwich, I think she wants to "show off" lol to her little friends, and I don't blame her a bit. Thank you for the recipe!

Actually my mother named me Nazi, after my Grandma, it's pronounced Naw-Zee. I was born in Tehran, Iran.
In Farsi, it's means something like cute, adorable or sweet in English though there's not an exact word for it in English.

Skipping all the steps to make it watermelon like (and the raisins cause hubby doesn't like them) this is my GO TO bread recipe and have added it to my binder of recipes I love. I don't know how many times I've made it. lol I've made 2 loaves in the past 5 days alone!

This is also my "go to " bread recipe, it turns out nice and light and fluffy each time. I've always had problems with dense bread prior to this.

I just wanted to finally say a THANK YOU! I have made this version of the bread several times as well as a red and white swirl (for Canada Day last year) and my kids absolutely love it! I am in the middle of a quadruple batch to donate to our kids school for their bake sale, as their sandwiches at lunch with the watermelon slices were a huge hit among their classes. The instructions are super easy and the end result not only looks amazing but tastes like perfect white fluffy bread you would have to go to a professional bakery to get.

When proofing the yeast you add the warm liquids and sugar. Salt is added to the flour because it is a yeast regulator and basically slows it down. You should check out the SFBI, they have great info on the science of baking.

Great ideas. I truly love trying different breads & would definitely purchase one of your loafs in a bake shop! I was reading some of the comments on your page, all I can say is there will always be someone who will not like or critize what you do. Take it in stride. Personally I think your bread skills are outstanding. I was going through a baking period for a while & made a few good French loaves but never as cool looking as yours!
