Pastor Calvin B. Rhone arranged this song and gave it a fresh life and the rest is history...Again my brother in Christ has allowed God to use his gift to be a blessing to the church. Thank you so much for posting this classic.
When I was a teenager, I had this song on a tape. I fell in love with it back then and still love it now. It just ministers to my heart, just knowing when this life is over I have a Heavenly home to look forward to where the streets are paved with gold, feast on milk and honey (and i dont even eat or drink milk or honey). God is sooooooo good and His mercy endurs for ever more. PRAISE THE NAME OF JESUS.................
This Song is strong. The Words of God. Listen to the words and you can see the Message. We all want to go to Heaven, remember only the righteous shall be there at the New Jerusalem. But God Mercy and Grace, I pray that we shall see each others there. Stay Encourage and Keep the Faith.
I was truly pleased to hear this song under the direction of the great late "Rev" and Rev. Rhone. Their voices take me back to a safe, familiar, place (not that I am in any danger) when I was younger. I appreciate their dedication to song and the excellence that they represented in the arena of music ministry.
my auntie Aniza (Neenee) was a Los Angeles gospel messenger. She joined cornerstone in 1989 when she met my grandmother Denise Hunter. And they both became place sisters when they got to new Philadelphia missionary Baptist Church under the direction of the late Pastor Eugene Bryant who was the former pastor for corner stone because he had worked Con el reverendo James Cleveland
I Remember this song on the radio as a child, and I had to come and find it here on youtube. And it sound as great as I remembered it. Thank you so much..
And Calvin Rhone was absolutely correct. Rev. James Cleveland didn't play with us at all. He was very serious about ministry and Gospel Music. We were all taught very well!!!!
Kimberly polanco I always wondered why other congregations have choirs. I wonder where the New Testament church mentions having choirs? Can anyone answer that for me? I know he commands us to sing Ephesians 5:19 and Colossians 3:16. But if we are supposed to walk by the same rules and mind the same things. Philippians 3:16 Why is it that choir and the song leader only obey the worship commandment. Granted I cant see or tell if the persons in the congregation are singing or not. But it just seems to me that choirs are..... I am a member of a church of Christ. Where all sing together and we have a song leader.
Interesting question. After researching, I found that during Israel's captivity, their worship was influenced by other cultures. Hence many churches today choose to worship as the early Jews as they were instructed to do in great detail, which included designated singers and instruments. Wonderful song I listen it on Sunday as I get ready for service. The biggest problem I have with this video is that the "preachers" call themselves Reverend. When in psalms 111:9 he clearly states sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name. Just would like to inform people in love that it's not right to use reverend. -Church of Christ
although I like the messengers, and I definitely love the king of gospel music. No one can come behind Reverend James Cleveland. But all though I love him, that business manager. Miss Natalie hairstyle, I'll have to pass on her.
😍June 2023! I'm Humbled To Hear This Song! My Heart's Desire Is To Forever Reign With JESUS CHRIST!😘❤️

I have all 3 recorded versions of this song. This song is the reason I’m taking piano lessons. This song does so much for me.
I have always loved this classic. When Bernard Rhone sings it he takes you there. R.I.P Rev James Cleveland. Amen Amen and Amen .
Rev. Cleveland was raised, awakened if you prefer, in 2015.

Was odd looking...
Strange

Agreed
I think James Cleveland was meant to pray, but the Reverend took over. Still was weird.
He knew that he was leaving them soon and he was probably gazing at familiar faces one last time

dose Rev. Calvin B have cds
what did Bernard Rhones say in your interview i am sort of curious
My question is ...did James Cleveland compose "Jerusalem," or did somebody else
Calvin Bernard Rhone is the composer of this song
That's an old song. Neither one of them wrote it. It's an old congregational song.
