I never forget being a child and when I was a child and my parents was playing his cassette I felt God's power just through every song he song. I'm 40 now and I tear up Everytime I listen to this song and other songs sung. This song is a everyday play for me. RIP Reverend Cleveland it's been a while since you been gone but I'm sure that one day when I get to heaven I will hear and be praising our saviour with you and the other saints of God. As a little girl at church service w/ James Cleveland ....I used to be so amazed at the sound of the choir marching in. Their voice was so angelic to me...this I remember so well. I was looking for that song “We come to praise his name” oh how I wish I could hear that song right now. The choir would sing this as the walked down the aisles. That was church. Miss it.

I had the privilege of singing with Rev. James Cleveland and Daryl Cooley. We were in the Voices of Christ together, and James did a couple of Albums with us, plus my deceased husband, Samuel Mathews, who played for The Voices of Christ also would play for Rev. Cleveland, when he was in the Bay Area, and at the GMWA. But that was way back in the 70's and 80's and after that Daryl and Sam were involved in their own Music Business. Daryl was recording his own Music. I knew Daryl since he was a teenager, and he and Rev. Cleveland, as well as all the Gospel greats who have passed on, like my Bishop, Walter Hawkins, and his brother Edwin Hawkins. And Andre Crouch, Mattie Moss Clarke, Frank Williams. All these greats are really going to be missed. There are others that have passed on, but they were family members of some of these well known Artists. But they were all just as important, and loved. I had the privilege of singing with Rev. James Cleveland and Daryl Cooley. We were in the Voices of Christ together, and James did a couple of Albums with us, plus my deceased husband, Samuel Mathews, who played for The Voices of Christ also would play for Rev. Cleveland, when he was in the Bay Area, and at the GMWA. But that was way back in the 70's and 80's and after that Daryl and Sam were involved in their own Music Business. Daryl was recording his own Music. I knew Daryl since he was a teenager, and he and Rev. Cleveland, as well as all the Gospel greats who have passed on, like my Bishop, Walter Hawkins, and his brother Edwin Hawkins. And Andre Crouch, Mattie Moss Clarke, Frank Williams. All these greats are really going to be missed. There are others that have passed on, but they were family members of some of these well known Artists. But they were all just as important, and loved.
