It was meant for my other friend, m1ssie192 who had replied to my previous comment, pertaining to her comments. However, since you joined the discussion, I have no problem replying to yours. I don't know anything about Rev. Cleveland James more than what I read about him in the various comments. Therefore, I cannot give a true judgment on his life. He and God will deal with that aspect of his life. And knowing the God I serve, oh yes, He will. So, I will not comment on his life relative to that alleged accusation. What I do know about him, having listened to his many songs and compositions, he was a very great and gifted singer and I believe he has blessed many souls with his singing ministry, even now, though he is no longer with us.
Finally, in Romans 1:21-31, it is clearly stated that God is against such practices and there is a judgment pronounced against those who indulge in such practices. However, if those who indulge in such acts, repent of their sins, the God we serve will forgive them of their sins, not in death but while they are alive. Because there is no repentance in the grave.

Herman McKoy Have you forgotten that God is a deliver, and not to mention he forgives us for all of our sins. 1Jn 1:9 "If we confess our sins, God is just and faithful to forgive us of our sins and cleanse our hearts from all unrighteousness"I am not saying that I agree with you at all, but we have to remember why Christ our Savior died for us. We, I am speaking of myself as well, Romans 6:23 " We all have sinned and came short of the glory of God". Jesus came to give life and to give it more abundantly. Jn 10:10. Where is the love of God in your heart? Are you without sin? The Bibles says in 1Jn 1:8 "If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." I have already given you the 9th verse, so I will go on to 1Jn 1:10 "If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us."
I am so glad that we serve a merciful God, who will forgives and although we sin against him daily, he still loves us. If you are going to judge, judge righteously.
Heb. 10:24-26 says "And let us consider on another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins."
It is true that many of the churches today have turned from preaching and teaching the absolute truth of God's Word, but God always have some faithful reserved for himself. Elijah thought he was the only real prophet of God left (because Jezebel was killing God's prophets) and wanted to die because of this but God's response to him was "I have reserved 7000 prophets unto me that have not bowed to baal." However, we are told not to forsake the fellowship of the church because we receive strength from one another. When, we don't fellowship we will get weak spiritually.
The question that we need to ask is, why is the church in the shape it's in today? The apostle Paul told Timothy "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth." 1Tim. 4:1-3
I truly believe that we are living in these days right before the return of the Lord for his people. It is closer than we think.
We have continue to trust God and seek him through prayer, fasting, and through his Holy Word. He will lead us to a place where we can worship and serve him faithfully, where the truth of his Word is being both preached and taught.

My dad played this for me one time when i was younger. One day this song pulled up on my youtube feed. I ignored it because i didnt know it, but the holy spirit kept telling me to listen to it. I ignored the holy spirit for a week. Then finally i listened to it. Within a couple of seconds i knew where i heard this song from, and i started to cry. God showed up on time. My dad played this song for me.

When you loses a love one there is nothing to bring you The comfort you loses
I lost my mother at the age of 11 got pregnant at 15 my X boyfriend killed my baby I was in an abusive realationahip from one failed realationahip to the next divorce 2 and was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in 2021 today I am cancer free and in therapy trusting God I am not letting God go it's all about Jesus Christ for me!!!!!

30 mins later I got a call and the hospic told me she had passed away and the song I was play qas I did not come this far for tou to leave me I was holding her hands for twelve years I could not hold her hand for her final walk she had to walk that road alone.

I just had this to happen in the grocery store a few days ago. A minister spoke as he passed me by. I smiled to acknowledge his greeting and kept walking. But the feeling left upon me was very strange and unusual and stayed with me until I inquired of the Lord what it all meant. I could not sort this one out. So I seeking the Lord until God's peace returned to me. The Lord has spoke some time ago and said, it is going to get darker. He's speaking of spiritual darkness. Spiritual discernment will be paramount for the days ahead. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. And lean not to thy own understanding. And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding shall guard and keep thee. Shalom, shalom.

This song brought tears to my eyes, and a build up in my chest. I've been in a lot of predicaments that left me no choice but to lean on God. As I look back, had he not allowed me to be placed in those situations my faith in Him would be no where near as strong as it is today. I found Rev James Cleveland by accident on my computer, and since then have been getting into the presence of God through his music. No matter who we think someone is let God have His way with them while you pray for them in the area that you think they need help.

September 9th my younger cousin had a stroke, September 15th my uncle passed away. my aunt in Atlanta had a stroke 2 years ago, my other uncle in Africa had Slight stroke and my other uncle legs are swells from kidney disease. my youngest cousin has stage four cancer of the uterus. How can one person handle this? I almost lost my faith, :But I will keep holding on to God's unchanging hands and he will carry me through during this test of time. This song took me back when I was a young man in my early twenty, I was apart of an awesome choir God's Children station at Ft. Hood, Texas during the 1980.
Entertainment Lust TV I think churches are run now by folks who really don't remember these songs, it's a younger folks in charge now, even the musicians are younger, and the pastors are younger, and James Cleveland was dead when they grew up, it was the contemporary sound that came about, and it is beautiful, and I love the music , but teach these songs too, maybe have a Sunday where this type of music is sung, and that way each era of music is enjoyed and continued.

Praise God! I love this song. It always bless my spirit and gives me faith to truly believe it. When, I have been at my lowest point and didn't see away out, listening to this highly anointed and powerful song, causing me to really question my faith in God. Do, I truly have faith in God like, I say I have or am I am lying to myself? The truth is that most times I am not trusting God but only hope that God will work things out. After listening to this do strengthen my faith and it takes me to new levels in the Lord.

Dear Lady who lost your husband to covid my condolences and i hope you are processing and have recieved some confirmation, i lost a few during covid but this last onee a couple months ago spril 20th 2024 i lost my 26 yr old my baby boy and i cant come to terms and accept it at this point and time i cry everyday i just cant believe in a God that will take my child and he was a good boy ,just take me,my faith is diminishing and if i didnt have this grand baby or lose my insurance from suicide id been outta here
