Really glad Adrian stuck up for the SPRO. Thing is dope.
I was on drugs for 10 years got out of jail had no job hobbies no hope. I remember my grandfather use to take me fishing so I opened up his old tackle box and pulled out a 1/4 rattle trap ,went to a local pond with a spinning set up with a 5ft rod I caught a 1 pound bass and from that moment on in 2016 I’ve hooked on bass fishing. It’s now 2023 and have almost 7 years clean I thank god everyday for fishing
The tug is the drug brother. I am happy and congratulate you on your revival-recovery. Cheers to many more🎣👊😎
@@adrianalvarado7407 Thank you 🙏. Appreciate your support.
Cotton Cordell spot is my go-to
Rip to the LV😭😭. At least you mentioned it for us west coast guys.
Great video but you need to try the Booyah trap its the same as the Old Excalibur One knocker great bait, how about a video about the different chatterbaits, and spinnerbsits
I love how real these videos are! Keep up the great work!
North of the border we go to the fridge for a pop!! Great vid boys. keep the content coming.
Glad to see Adrian in front of the camera more this year. Solid crew of dudes with a ton of knowledge
I love the Aruka Shad by Spro
Man I watch all yalls channels all the time..I stay on the notification button for sure..I say do a video of all four of you in one boat..most fish wins...now that would be classic..good luck
Love anything that y'all do together and cracking up keeping it real
Thank God for you guys, KVD retiring hurts like hell, then my favourite boys making me laugh again, keep it up MDJ, you boys are the future of professional bass fishing.
Still to this day, I'm 55, in my family and friends we'll ask 'do you want a coke'......'yes'........and the reply is 'what kind?'....from Texas.
Love this series so glad it’s back. Would like to see one on different sinko’s or chatterbaits
Years ago I caught a 3 pound brown trout on the snake river, eastern Idaho. I threw original Bill Lewis rattle trap, and that fish tore that bait to pieces , cracked the sides of it and pulled the hooks out from the body. That fish wanted it bad!! That was fun!
Love y’all’s back and forth it is fun
Rat-t-Trap 9 out 10
For sure
Love these videos! Found MDJ through the MLF teams series and really liked your approach to fishing and your high level of positivity! These videos carry it forward and show what good friends all you competitors are!
Keep it rolling! Keep being friends too bc it’s awesome to see and watch. Y’all drop some great knowledge.
Great video, when I was a kid I used my grandpa's Heddon Super Sonic that dates back to the late 50's. No rattling though. I think the Tat-L-Trap came out a decade later. Sonic caught some fish.
We need more of this series! Good talk and info. Please do soft baits next.
Great video again. Can’t wait for the next one
I enjoy rate the bait even more than watching a good tournament.
Great work gentlemen!
Love the videos! I'd love to see best pond or bank lures reviewed. Y'all stay blessed!
You mentioned how you all change your hooks I'd love to see a hook video that would be great!!! Keep up the good work boys
Almost be willing to bet all of them would say owner st35 or st36.
1/4 rat-l-trap, yes I’ll take that anywhere. From southern NJ and lakes / ponds by me max depth is like 4, maybe 5’ deep. Trap comes through everything fishing from the bank .... I’ll have to try that aruka shad now
For real a great video idea. Thanks for posting. Looking forward to seeing many more
Here in the south we are like DC a coke can go for any flavor, really enjoyed this learned something on these baits, but my favorite is the OG rat-l- trap 1/4 oz red craw color!😎
Mark , I really enjoy your channel and your tips. I have bought three Platinum spinning reels and really like them. I’m from Indiana and have been knowing Jacob since he was about twelve. Black guy that’s a friend of Kevin Canada we used to fish together on Morse Resevior . It’s a pleasure watching you guys as pros! Catch ‘em’
Harold Grundy
The Cordell Hot Spot had a single rattle. At first the weight was glued in and some of the weights came loose and guys started catching bass on them better and Cotton Cordell started making a single rattle version even before the Rat-L-Trap. The Cordell Super Spot was the second version of the Cordell Hot Spot. I caught a 11-3 on a Super Spot.
Red eye shad is the Perfection of the trap !!
Rat-L-Trap is the OG. Cheap, high quality hooks, durable and flat catches em. 9.5 - Great vids MDJ! love the commentary. Ding!
Love the series and the historical twist you guys put on them. Suggestion Jerkbaits, hook sizes you place on them, top three colors and water color to throw them in. Great job with all the videos.
Love these videos. We all learn something. Think ya'll do too. I know you will have a use for your TRAPS very very very soon. Hope to see you this week.
Good to see video on blade baits, I would likr to a top prop baits ' pompadours, devils and wood choppers
MDJ, we need the Frog episode of this! Delta guy might know a thing or two about one
Good stuff fellas! I enjoy these immensely!
Let's go boys maybe I can fish with you on the flint river this year I live close lots of shoal bass smallies large heads. Good luck to you all.
Same here, coke covers all flavors of drinks, Good idea need to do a rate the bait on soft plastic jerk baits, good content
This is one of the coolest styles of videos I've seen , watch the whole thing and was like oh dam it's over
I still throw the Cotton Cordell super spot quite a bit, I have a couple old school colors in it that I can't be without!
Love the spro lipless man! Great bait
Caught 1000’s growing up on rattletrap and cotton Cordell’s in the local ponds! Firetiger or chrome blue
Rate the Bait is the best. Informative and hilarious
I have thrown a trap plenty and have caught them on it. But, if the waters dirty enough for a trap, I'd much rather throw a jackhammer now that I found a good rod for it. The only time I still to throw it is yoyoing a 3/4 over deep offshore grass, that can get bit even with a little clearer water.
Man, this was nice, more please! 10 out of 10 !!! Video. That yozuri low key fire man, smashes em in the right conditions.
That chili craw red eye shad is a bad dude!! An old school aqua-flash bill Lewis is hard to beat! Wish I could find some more! @MDJ!
Easy to relate to Adrian, since we are from the same area and I frequent tackle direct as I drive by it daily. Like he said we catch a lot of small fish. Typically 1-2lbs. I’m more likely to catch a 4lb pickerel than a 4lb bass
Dude Mark, y’all left off the ONLY level 10 lipless! The Jackall TN60 or TN70 will blow your dang mind on its effectiveness!!!
Goals this season for me: jig & crank baits. I never throw em. I own a pretty collection of em tho😂🎣. New season always brings new skills.
Guy's great info. Funny thing is I have lots traps & never caught anything on them. So I hardly throw them.
Love these bro thank you
I can't believe you didn't have the floating trap in the line up from Bill Lewis. Chrome and blue or chrome and black. 10 out of 10 on the coosa don't tell D.C. he's taken enough of my entry fees. Lol. Love the videos
Good morning guys!
Congrats on y’all’s successful careers!
What’s up Mark!
When I fished with you years ago in Shreveport, I knew that you were gonna do it BIG! Congrats Bruh!!!!
Can y’all please rate the Zoom Speed Craw.
I fish this bait a lot and have really good success with it down here in South Louisiana mostly on Cypress Trees and lay downs.
Thanks guys and good luck to you all on tour. Stay Safe🙏🏾
Great video thanks for sharing
More More we want More!
Great video,see y’all at Redcrest!
MDJ dude thank you for bringing this back in 23’
Caught some of my biggest bass Witt the strike king red eye shad. Absolutely love that bait. But I prefer the 2 tap version. 10/10
The Bass University video you did on traps is great. Recommend people watch it after this video.
Love your work lads!
Out in California fishing Lake McClure I caught an 8lb catfish throwing a Cotton Cordel lip less.
Traps 💯, been fishing them forever. I do like the Red eye and throw it more then the original now. Still the original is the deal. I remember the cordell.
Spinnerbait, favorites
Enjoyed the bait review 👍 keep it going.
Love the video. Keep it coming!!
There’s bass in Indiana everywhere brother Adrian 18:36 😅 largies and smallies and spots
You guys make me laugh and great info! How about a rubber worm breakdown, size and color straight or curly tail? I love the Zoom curly tail 6 inch green pumpkin red or black flake. God Bless!
Lots of epic lipless cranks that weren't even mentioned. There is a lot that the "OG" trap can't do and isn't good for. They each have their own situations that they excel in so you're doing yourself a major disservice if you try to just stay loyal to one particular brand or bait.
13 Fishing actually makes some great traps with great hooks.
Rattlin Rap is my go to!
Great videos!!! Have you done underspins?
Super cool series 😊
Clear Lake, Calif. Stayed at Bob Todd's marina/motel/Ranger dealership. Let me wife sleep in while I went out early. Threw a chrome-blue back Trap and boated more than a dozen in little over an hour. Caught them all around the small islands very near the motel.
This is dope!! 🔥🔥🔥
In La, but the LV series, Duo Realis Apex, Jackall, Spro and Megabass are at the top of the market if you are doing anything other than winding it back in. Yo-Zuri is pretty straight too. If just casting and winding Bill Lewis is hard to beat.
Edit: the old rat-l-traps, not sure when but somewhere in the 90’s and early, are better than the new ones. They sound different too. There was also a classic won with the Storm Arashi vibe, shout-out Ott Defoe!
i want to make a 1/2oz rat-l-trap box with only 12 colors what rat-l-tarps colors would you pick i want a variety but i want some colors that will work in the spring some that are good for the fall some that are good for the winter and some that will work for the summer and if there is room some colors that can work for a situation that you need a certain color for
Let’s hear DC talk about some swim jigs
Let's gooooo appreciate yall, let's get a spook review
Great job
Great video!
Strike King red eye is a killer. 11/10
Spinner Bait rate the bait!
Always great videos from all y'all man. Let's see a video with big swimbaits. Y'all ever throw em?
I fish Geist all the time...Great lake to throw anything you want...
Bill Lewis has always been fragile (finish) but a solid 8 for me .. the larger eyes on the red eye I feel gets me more bites in clear water. The yo-zuri has the most durable and most realistic finishes it’s my winner .. no experience with the spro.
MDJ! Hook me up with some lake names when you were in western MN with Zona! 😉
I feel you dc around my house if we ask for a coke everyone knows to ask what kind
Many moons ago my box had rat-l-trap and a shad rap. The rat caught 20x more fish for whatever reason
I’d love to see some swim jigs rating!
1/4 ounce rat-l-trap is my favorite lipless bait
Great content keep it up
To this day I have never found anything that beats a Bill Lewis rattle trap.
Do soft baits in either flipping baits(beavers), creatures, craws, flukes, swimbaits
The “pico perch” was the og lipless. Before the trap
I take that back I'm not sure what I had back then but the OG is the best till this day
Would like to see a review on 6sence lipless
Would love to see you do a video on flukes. My favorite thing to throw here in Ohio.
Here In the North it’s all called a Pop
in Tx. we say coke to all soft drinks
No LC LV or Jackall TN? I would even throw the Magic Man in there.
