Amazing how after almost 40 yrs of Playing and Listening to Various types of Music, I am just now hearing of this... Might I add, THIS IS AWESOME!!! Thank You for the Inspiration ☺️ There Definitely should be More Music like this In today's world... 💯❤️😎
Uckin' Fey. Most excellent. Am just now discovering this ensemble of incredible talent, where have I been all my life? Here Now, near how, Hear Now, brown cow.
It's from a Swedish TV show called Trum that aired about 10 years or so ago. If you search for "Morgan Ågren Trum" you should find full episodes here on RUclips. It's mostly talking, drum lessons and record tips so not sure how useful that is if you don't speak Swedish, but every episode has one or more live performances.
Actually, the majority of the short episodes was always the live performances and some of the talking was Morgan showing vinyls from his favorite inspirations. All this though being an educational show at public service TV. But Morgan was free to fill it with whatever he liked to 😊
@@jonasthemovieWhen Fredrik Thordendahl wants to make a solo album he calls Morgan (and lets Haake do the voice) 😊 (LOVE Haake btw and Morgan couldn't do all he does as good - but Morgan is def more versatile!)
I get shivers down my spine every time I hear this. Mats' style is insane and he's hilarious to watch. Lifting up his shirt during the scream, rofl. And Morgan Agren blows my mind as well. So intense I just want to close the damn video! But it's too good!

Mats and Morgan play the music the teacher tells you not to, the silly noises that put a big fucking grin on your face and I love it. It's not popular stuff, it's not following a standard musical formula... they're just having a blast, I suspect they'd be at home doing it even if nobody else cared to listen.
To me these guys simply define "ahead of the curve". Just seems to me that scandinavians are always pushing it a step further... Just take bands like Meshuggah for example (or even The Cardigans hahahah) Excellent and inspiring! Thank you Mr Zappa would have been so proud!
What an incredible performance. Now would somebody rip it, synch the audio and re-post? Please! I would do it, but I'm stupid. I only know how to complain. But seriously, excellent post. Love it. Thanks.

interesting. I can't get into MM. Seems like a great guy... but for some reason I just can't enjoy his drumming no matter what. Weird. I like Thomas Lang's more avant drumming... (he does stuff no other drummer ever did) (wish he was less mechanical though) and Benny Greb's delicious dynamics. Gavin Harrison (currently in King Crimson) was my fave for a bit but he's too much brain. I need BRAINS... plus PASSION.
another of my FAVE new drummers is a dude from Montreal noise duo (casio and drums!) called LAZOR BLADE. don't know his name, but he's a fantastic balance of "shambling" and "tight as hell"!

So damn whacky.. It definitely does feel Nintendo like. It's got a dungeon/battle atmosphere.

I hear SMS Shinobi, Wonder Boy in Monsterland, Rastan, NES Tiger-Heli, Paperboy, RC Pro-Am, Spy Hunter, and a little bit of Goonies 2.
😂
Saw them live in 2005. There were lots of musical instruments for sale in the classifieds and craigslists ads the week after the gig.
This was fun! "Vinnie, where's five?" "Five".

Bill Bruford's Earthwork too
There is a remastered version of this entire concert on Morgan's youtube channel
So good
Great song! Probably the best I've heard from them so far.
This shit was fire back when I first heard it and it STILL FUCKING FIRE
100%
The whole song is great, but the part at 5:51 is pure genius! I wish I'll get to see them live one day!
its great ... so many inspirations! Awesome musicians and great ideas! I love every note!
TRUM har gått på min dator under många herrans år, jag kan helt enkelt inte få nog av det! :)

I love this tune, thanks for uploading this..
these guys are so good at music that they just play around with it
love it, these guys!!, WOW!
Sweet! First time hearing these guys. Wow
Great song. They are just incredible.
This should be what Trance sounds like, it sure put me in one! Super rythmically intricate. Frank Zappa is laughing somewhere;)
Loved this since brand new!😍
so complex & so groovin'!!! gives me mad chillz!!!
One of the best jazz fusion groups on earth. All are great musicians. Everything they do-Zappa would be huge fan.
Zappa was a huge fan.
They even played with Zappa.
Hearing the section at 5:50 always puts a smile on my face!
hahaha, love it when they all scream. Great song! Thanks Simon.
once I listened to this a few times it just got stuck in my head, I'd be going to sleep with this playing in my mind
You dream in 7/8 and 10/8? 😉
Really really really awesome!!! I am off to make a prog band now :D
When he's excited, his shirt rises! Great music :)
The groove in 10/8 that starts at around 00:31 is just killer! Actually, the whole thing is, but that section is especially brilliant.
Mats lifting his shirt up from outta nowhere freaked me out for a second.
