Thanks so much. When dancing at a social, is there a signal to do the bass step as opposed to basic step (or let me guess, you just have to feel it? :))
Hi there, You can't lead footwork like this, you just do it on your own :) If she recognized the step she can join you. The only way you can lead this step is through body movement like a bass with body roll in shadow position, you're leading it by you doing it, your frame being connected to her (same as a normal body roll).
But just as normal footwork this isn't something that you lead, you just do it on your own for styling, it also doesn't require your partner to know this step or do it with you. One partner can do the bass step while the other does their normal basic and as long as you respect your timing, its all good :) Hope this helps 👍

I had a total knee replacement and have been practicing my Bachata recently. My knee cap hurts after. Question = Am I bending my knees too much? Bending knees past the foot is dangerous.
Not too sure since we can't see you, but definitely do what is best for your knee and if you feel discomfort stop, take a break, or adjust :)

Sure, I can provide some tips for Bachata arm movements! One important thing to keep in mind is to keep your arms relaxed and avoid stiffness. Try to let your arms flow naturally with the music and the movements of your body. Another tip is to focus on isolating your arm movements from your body movements. This can create a more fluid and dynamic effect.
If you want to improve your isolations skills, I'd highly recommend checking out our Body Movement Course.
