And 8 years later this car still looks very good and still literally has one of the best modern luxury interior & exterior designs on the road today. Totally blown away by what Mercedes has done to this one car.

Just purchased a 2015 with most of the available options last week in Orlando and wow, what a beauty! Hard pressed to tell its now an 8+ year old design in 2023. Super happy with mine 👏👏👏

@@rashedxbroker wonderful. Ride quality is incredible. Feels well put together. I did end up changing the type/brand of tire recently and have noticed more road noise with these tires, so will likely be going back to the OEM tires if they are still available. But a truly fantastic vehicle

We just bought the 2015 S Class. Its our 3rd S Class and 4th MB. Initially was looking at the Maserati Ghibli for my wife, but she didn't like it and neither did I. Maserati doesn't even offer some of the features like power trunk, blind spot monitoring, distronic, lane change assist, etc, that every other manufacturer in the world offers. Good luck selling more vehicles when you are asking 95k and above for a car and you can't even get safety features as an option!
I didn't even want to look at another S Class but after we drove the Ghibli and were disappointed we walked to the store next door and drove the new S Class just for kicks. I was blown away. It's a totally different car from my old 2002 S500 that I sold. Now some of you are going to say, "the Maserati is a performance car and not even in the same class. It's a driver's car.. blah blah blah." I know... I personally drive a 2014 Porsche Panamera Turbo Executive.. and it will run circles around everything Maserati makes, and Porsche offers nearly all the systems the S Class does in some variant.
The new S Class is the truth! Just because one can't buy an S Class or whatever doesn't mean one can't appreciate the beauty and engineering in all luxury cars! All this new tech eventually works its way down to all makes.
Heck I also own a Kia Soul I bought for my daughter that has Blue-Tooth, heated seat, satellite, keyless go etc. All that stuff was only available on the 2000 S Class and 2003 SL when they first came out!
So when the expensive makes introduce new tech, everyone should cheer, because sooner or later it's going to make its way into every car made, and everyone will have the opportunity to enjoy quality cars packed with great features!

Alfonso Padilla I'm glad I made your day. I remember when I first purchased the 2001 S Class. It had the hands free phone. Blue tooth didn't exist back then. Man the freedom of talking on the phone while driving without getting a stiff neck or sore bicep from holding the phone up all day. Especially when you work from the car at times as I do. Then a friend of mine got the New Chrysler 300 when it first offered blue tooth.. and walla all of a sudden the novelty of hands free phones were available to everyone!So no need to dream... like I said, even my 2011 Kia Soul has Blue tooth, keyless go, heated seats, satellite radio, controls for the radio, phone etc on the steering wheel! It's a wonderful time to be alive. I can only imagine what kinds of cars our great grand kids will have! Maybe they will finally get the cars we saw in the Jetsons...lol

pretty hard to steal the hood ornaments on the newer Benz's because they are secured to the hood with a wire cable
Its 10 bucks aftermarket,if it was rolls royces spirit of ecstasy then yeah,but merc logo,not that big of a deal.

There's much more in it than you could imagine, this car 10 years ago is still more advances than alot of supercars or luxury suvs to date!

I can sing eulogies for this car all day, all night and that still won't be enough. It delivers all that tremendous technological wizardry in a smooth, lucid and non-interfering manner. You won't even know what is working where to provide you that heavenly experience, the car does everything so seamlessly that it seems very natural and intuitive. According to me that is the hallmark of a great car. No other sedan does this better than the S. It is the benchmark that other sedans aspire for, let alone compete. All hail the king!

On August 16 2014, I received my 2015 S 550 4Matic (custom made in Germany). It is a wonderful car that once you drive it you will never like to drive another one. It is a luxurious car that have features no other car has. The cabin is extremely spacious and comfortable with ionizers and aroma. The Bermaster speaker system is unique . The LED cabin lights make the mood to be in the car all night long. The seats are very comfortable with heat and ventilation with massage settings. The rear cabin has a refrigerator. Most of all it is the safest car you ever drive. I suffer from sleeping apnea and literally the car sensed my inattention and woke me up twice while I was driving.

I agree! I didn't like the redesigned headlights and taillights for the 2018..and the newest one looks really cheap to me. I'm now looking for a 2017 model to purchase..but it's hard finding them with all the safety features I want. At their price they should make all the safety packages standard!

Both brands are exquisitely engineered, extraordinarily well-made, and extremely high-tech. They're also both preposterously ostentatious, absurdly overpriced, and driven exclusively by golfer douchebags.
Tyler Brown I agree but they are not overpriced, a lot of people here buy used cars because nobody from average people cant afford a new Benz. I feel like Mercedes Benz is more complete because it still has decent performance but BMW lacks enterior and luxury. Here they are the epitome of quality car.
Ilija Petrovic At least here in North America, if you can't afford to buy a new Merc, you definitely can't afford a used one: the maintenance and repair costs on Mercedes here are just astronomical. That's why the value of MB vehicles drop like a stone once they're out of warranty. The same is largely true for the other European luxury brands as well, but MB is particularly bad. Lots of not-too-bright 20-somethings buy used Mercedes here, thinking they got a great deal (it's not unusual to find 5 year-old Merc's with fewer than 60k miles for a third or less of their original MSRP), only to find themselves in dire financial straits when faced with a relatively minor repair, which can easily run into the thousands of dollars.
Perhaps the situation in Europe is different - more qualified techs outside of the dealership network, greater availability of aftermarket parts - but here, a used German luxury car is a cheap ticket to poverty.
I agree with you on the technical aspects - Mercedes are amazing pieces of engineering and technology. But, new or used, cutting edge engineering is beyond the reach of the average person. They're great cars - for millionaires.
Ilija Petrovic I also have to disagree with you on value. There are very few features and luxuries available on a Mercedes C-class that one can't also find on, for instance, a top of the range Ford Mondeo (Fusion) - AWD, adaptive cruise control, heated and cooled premium leather seats, all sorts of active safety features, etc. You can get the loaded Ford for just a touch over $30k, while a top of the line C-class (excluding the C63 AMG) will run just about double that upfront, while the overall cost of ownership will be between double and triple.
Of course, the Merc will be a bit more refined, a bit more luxurious, a bit faster (depending on engine selection), and feature somewhat nicer interior materials. But is it twice a good as the Ford? Is it twice the car? Not even close!
That interior is absolutely stunning! So plush and elegant, yet ultra-modern. Easily the best on the planet, IMO. Now, if you could meld the Tesla Models S exterior and drive-train with the MB S-Class caliber of interior and all of their combined tech goodies and you would truly have THE perfect car.

but for a drivers car, the Benz front cabin interior is so inviting. RR is too "upfront and in your face"

i love Mercedes, i once flipped one banking a turn at 45 being a bit absent minded on Christmas day, got out without a single scratch or bruise on me. i was so upset to have lost that damn car, my dad gave it to me and i loved it like a child. i think i would have died if i were driving anything less then a benz

I am currently 36, Have been working for 4 years so I'm quite young and will take a lone on the car but hopefully will be able to pay it off quite quickly!
I want fast acceleration 0-20 mph in traffic and not to fuel hungry in traffic. In the High way I don't really care if it goes above 75 mph.
I'm thinking about the hybrid but I'm not sure! Price of the config is no issue!
Then this is the perfect car but buy the s500 hybrid way more efficient.
