Thank you Wave ❤️
My pleasure! Keep up the great work!
You are awesome! 🤟❤️
You're a legend!
Keep up the great work young lady, you absolutely nailed it.
Imagine what she'll be like in just a few short years, she's great now, it's just hard to imagine how much more she's going to develop. I think she's going to be untouchable and unstoppable. Just outstanding.
Started following her after I seen her do a Rush cover. She has gained so much knowledge since then. It's just crazy. With the help of her parents, and all those in the music industry helping her, she is going places! You can have all the talent in the world, but in this industry, it really does take a village. She has the talent part covered! Amazing!
What a little Beast. I love watching that kid. Thanks Wave for putting this out there.
Ellen just completed her first hurdle. There comes a time for every musician when suddenly it clicks, and I think she just woke up one day recently and said, "Wow, I can do this." Confidence kicks in. I think it's finally the muscle-memory and the fingertip callouses and the developing neural synapses of the brain all syncing together to form this level of early brilliance. But let's also remember: Her Dad is an amazing musician, and it's no coincidence that his tutelage has given her all the "to die for" shortcuts and insights that we all wish we had in our own long-ago musical beginnings when we were gawky snot-nosed dreamers in need of direction. "So far so good," if you ask me. Plus, HER HAIR IS WHACK! Great video, dude.
well said
First hurdle? AYFKM? She's already got a booming RUclips channel, manufacturer's endorsements and a custom designed signature instrument. I'd say she's pretty much already a professional musician, and well beyond any hurdles.
@@banba317 I wasn't talking about monetization. I was talking about the kid's obvious next level of successive musicianship after years of diligent effort, and hopefully her continuing years of musical evolution. Stop bowing down to the money in someone's pocket. And watch your language. There are children in the room.
@@pauls.6360 You were talking for no other reason than to hear yourself talk; that's all. Your entire comment was a load of pretentious bullshit. "I think she just woke one day RECENTLY and said wow I can do this... " AYFKM? That is not how musicianship happens. That's not a recognition of years of continuing musicianship; it's a claim of some magical epiphany; it's Broadway bullshit. "I think it's finally the muscle-memory ... and callouses... and synapses of the brain.... " AYFKM? You are a pompous ass spewing verbal diarrhea. Period. Ellen is a prodigy; her abilities are a product of her devotion, love of music and HARD WORK. She didn't wake up one day a great player! I've been following her progress on-line for over two years. Monetization is a HUGE milestone at ANY age and she didn't just wake up yesterday monetized, so she sure doesn't need your assessment that it's her "first hurdle!" If I were Ellen, I'd be highly offended by your "gawky snot-nosed dreamers" reference and I'd tell you to go fuck yourself.
@@pauls.6360I get it. YOur talking about conciousness. The work it took to get to a point where she goes next level and it all slows down and becomes 2nd nature... I think. LOL
It is just crazy how good she is at such a young age. I always love her smile, she is just having so much fun!
Ellen did a fantastic job on that song, she was on point and didn't miss a beat!
Ellen is superb. The future of music is bright with such up and coming talent. The first time I saw Ellen was when she played with Yoyoka and I immediately subscribed to her channel.
This makes my Goosebumps have Goosebumps!! I remember when she first started,..she was a giggly sweet girl when she accomplished her goal! Basically I saw her tap her first Bass string!. Now I'm getting those Goosebumps! She's amazing!
That is SO PERFECT: "makes my goosebumps have goosebumps"!
@@dannyboy9978 ✌️😂
Dayum!!!!! she is sooooo goooood!
I can't stop listening to and watching Ellen on this cover! I probably listened to it 20 times over the past few days. What a driving bass line and a flawless performance to get you pumped up!
Ale from the warning was playing this cover at shows on bass at 9 yrs old
Love them both, love TW and DPA❤. This right now is the place for Ellen to shine. Keep it up girl, you go 👍🏻😊
And some Asian girl was playing it 6 y.o. I'm sure. What's your point? YOYOKA has been playing live gigs on stage since 4 y.o.
@@Glen.Black.
You must have seen her with Yoyoka and 3 other kids cover this, friggin amazing! I'm sure you will do a reaction. It's mind blowing.
She is quickly becoming so good, that comparisons to other female players isn't fair, and there is literally zero reason to point that out any more. She is now into best of, or most promising, regardless of gender. We're so blessed to watch the progress. Way to go Hovak!
It will truly be interesting what her next stage will be, post RUclips period, because it will not last much longer. I think once she hits high school, those interests will drift. Lets hope she doesn't burn out, which is pretty common.
But imagine if we could have had this access to Jason Becker in the early years...... oh my.
This one's a prodigy.
What a cool song to feature a bassist! She keeps getting better and better. Only been playing bass like 3 years I think.
She nails it, and she nails it hard! 🔥So great is her future! 🤩
Great to see that almost bringing a tear of joy to someone else's eyes too. Her smile at the end is so awesome too, innit? 👍
Thanks for checking this out. I've been subbed to Ellen's channel for a while and it's so cool to see her grow as a musician.
Being this young and able to play like that, I can see her being in a band that will make it big in the future, and she will be the star 🌟
The great thing with her is she brings a smile on everyone watching her play.
Adoro o sorrisinho dela no final de cada performance..kkkkkkk
Unbelievable! This lovely little lady is the true Queen of base! ❤
No Doubt About It! She Has The Gift!
Great kid ! her father's doing a very good job !
Her customised bass is very comfortable to play, and kind of fits like a glove. Her talent and dedication speaks for itself.
Not sure how many custom basses she has now maybe 3 or 4. They (different manufacturers) just keep making and sending her new ones. She has 18-21 basses now, something like that...lol I became friends with her father Hovak when she recorded "The Ocean" with YOYOKA. YOYOKA's father asked me if I could drive somewhere, then said "We are going to do a session with a 9 y.o. bassist." I had no idea it was Ellen, had never heard of her, and it was within walking distance of my house....lol Very nice family and very cool dog, I got to play with....lol
That smile at the end
Thank you for reacting to this very recent video by Ellen and your prior insight into her Rush cover. I’m a non-musician, love watching Ellen and really value hearing what musicians have to say about her playing. Thanks for the respect you show Ellen and her channel and yeah watching her talented dad’s respectful awesome approach in tutoring her (though she’s very self driven anyway) is awesome.
I agree....Thank you Wave!
What a beautiful little monster..🥁😎🥁..
That smile at the end kills me every time.
Yeah, I've been following Ellen for a good while now. She is amazing.
What a fantastically talented young musician! The future of music is in good hands.
She has gotten so much better in such a short time
Thank you wave for supporting Ellen.
And just like the bass to Roundabout, which Chris Squire played with a pick, she plays this with her "walkin' bass" fingers, which is exponentially harder - unless you're a phenom, which she is, no doubt.
Victor Wooten is one of her mentors - and if I recall correctly - it was the guys from Yousician who had that bass made for her - for her birthday, last year.
Ellen puts in the work, she has literally toppled right over into a song book on the sofa dead asleep playing the bass.
That girl will go places. Cracking job 👍
This proves you don’t need big hands to play bass. Ellen’s technique is flawless.
ellen has been slayin it for a few years now dude! she not only knows the songs on the bass, but who plays them, what album they are from and what year they came out! she recently learned to slap which has been ahhhmazing to watch. it was way cool when she got to hang with Vai.
THAT BASS was especially built for HER by Mayones.
Did you Ale Villareal doing at 9 at a live show?. Ellen was perfect in the cover by the way.
Ellen is just phenomenal! I love to hear her play. 11 years old !!
Ellen is looking for a kid drummer (under 18) for her new band if anyone knows of someone. Needs to live in U.S. Ellen lives in Las Vegas. And before everyone says YOYOKA (Ellen and YOYOKA are friends), it is not the right time for YOYOKA.
Hi, about the bass, Hellen is endorsed by a strap , a string an amp and now a Bass company, Mayones, they sent her a Mayones Comodous short-scale Bass guitar, a great move by Mayones, she is already an awsome Bass player that is just gonna get better if she wants, a great sounding beautiful Bass.
She did real good on this.
Ellen is awesome!
one of your best reactions
Polish Bass guitar...Mayones ....Rockin !!!!!!!!:) ....Nice Setup :)
they sponsor her now. Her father ordered one and it took 3 years to get. 😅
This tune is a fast one and difficult and she is doing GREAT job.
Another Great Reaction Vid, Thanks Wave
Yep she's INSANE!
She is indeed amazing for sure . . .
Ապրես ,հայ աղջիկ։Դու տաղանդ ես։
smooth bass playing
You think she might do more Alejandra Villarreal or Daisy Pepper?
It's possible if she learns to read and compose music. Take all that info and add other influences. To do her own thing.
A Ellen toca muito....
Essa garota é muito talentosa. Com o apoio do pai então, é sucesso garantido. Vejo que ela gosta de tocar baixo. Adoro o sorrisinho dela ao final de cada performance.....kkkkkkkkkk
Ellen has a remarkable talent.
Ellen is a prodigy!
I’ve never seen Ellen Alaverdyan use a pick. It’s very limiting, so many things can’t be done with a pick and even on a number like this, which is suitable for a pick, you don’t really get any advantage by using one. This number is a brutal exercise, you want a little break so you can shake your hands and get the blood flowing, but there isn’t a single breather from start to finish. Hard graft! Fine performance.
Ellen rocks - been watching her journey. Thanks for this :)
Absolute fantastic ! 👏👏👏👏
She is a genius, thanks to her father and her natural 😢talents.
This is awesome oh my God Ellen is so cool I watch a lot she plays the hell out of her Bass
Ellen is amazing.
Passing down the music.
That's what this is.
Its the smile just before the end when she realizes she did in fect nail it
The next generation’s supergroup:
Ellen on bass
Nandi on drums
Who else?
This girl is incredible!
You have to have a lot of the 'it' factor to be able to do what she's doing at her age. She's amazing.
She Nails It... & Playing Bass With out a Picks ... & Not to Compare but Remember when you also Cover this Song Wave... You said... especially for this song i have to use picks... The level its bit hard... So We are just Know it... How Much "Massive" she Is... Hhe...
She plays like Geddy Lee, and using fingers, not pick. Its Amazing
Would love to see her play with Aussie teen Taj Farrant, another prodigy plays guitar
Nice reaction! Thanks.
And she's playing he own signature Bass by Mayones Guitars.
Ellen rocks!!
Hovac is no slouch on the 🎸 either... But Ellen is. The Show!
Go Ellen!
Es increíble 😍
Please React to the Filipino Band based in Cebu, Philippines - Missioned Souls. They did a band cover on Hysteria as well. ❤❤❤
Good video, thanks.
Great review. I've heard that Ellen is also giving lessons, in case you need to brush up. :D
Ellen is a musical prodigy. I wonder at what age she first picked up the bass guitar ? Comments?
I have no knowledge about when she first handled one, but her first vdeo was over 2 years ago, and she was clearly not a freshy even then. If her experience was anything like the violin-playing kids I knew when growing up, she would have been something like 4 at her first scale.
@@CyberiusT she is amazing. I love seeing and hearing her perform. A real delight!
She started in April 2020
@@HovakMusic wow! She is remarkable. You have a real blessing there!
W O W…Super skilled! Too bad there isn’t as much video of other prodigies, and despite the complexity, an effort to get the young super skilled musicians together and play ought to be attempted…by a record company and a tv network, cause it’d cost a penny or two.
Wow
So she plays it better than the original artist , kewl
WELL ALL I CAN SAY IS. DAM GRIL U. JAM ELLEN PLAYS BASS BABY U GO YOUNG LADY. FINGERS FINHERS MY OMG

9-10 in live shows with a band. Great to see all these young girls embracing music but Ale is special
Me...." CRAMP!!!!!"
