- How to make the "Northern Star" pendant, beading tutorial.
Supplies:
✅ 4 black Swarovski bicone crystals, size 6mm
✅45 Miyuki Delica beads, colour: galvanized silver, size 11/0, as follows:
➡️1st square : 12 for the sides + 4 for the corners
➡️2nd square, since is next to the first, needs: 9 for the sides, 2 for the remaining corners
➡️3rd square, since is next to the previous one, needs: 9 for the sides, 2 for the remaining corners
➡️4th square is next to 2 other ones so it needs: 6 for the sides, 1 for the last corner.
✅ 1 sew on rhinestone, square, crystal, size 4mm
✅ 59cm of Fireline thread, crystal, 6LB,
Tools:
✅ beading needle
✅ sharp, small scissors
✅ I am using a beading mat

How would the seed bead count change if I wanted to use 4mm bicones?

Of course, everyone has their preferred way of working. Honestly, in the beginning I was not using the needle either but it's so much easier with it. I'd say to just start and see if you like it. 😉

Hi. Yes, you can use bugle beads instead of delicas, as long as they are all the same size and the squares that result will be fit in size for the bicones. You may need some seed beads for the corners of the squares, thought, but again, depending on the size of your bugle beads, you may not.
