You ladies are a hoot. I love watching you and I always pick up little tips and tricks. When you mentioned sayings can draw us to a certain chart, I totally agree. I lost my daughter in 2020, she was only 36. Her birthday is on the 26th of May. I am going to start Quaint Rose Needlearts’ sampler, Jane Evans 1850, for my daughter’s birthday. The saying is: I love my Shepard’s voice, His watchful eye shall keep, My Wand’ring soul among, The thousands of his sheep. I will probably put Barbara’s name and birthdate on it. Thank you ladies for your inspiration.
Great video again ladies. Love you both you are so much fun to watch. Love the story about how you met. You make us feel like we are all your friends. Look forward to the next one. Take care.
Hey! Thanks for the cookie recipe 👍I haven’t had a stove for going on 17 months! Will be making these when our new house is done…hopefully very soon …..Prayers for that little girl 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼
Ok I’ve been listening for a long time and I had your stories reversed in my mind. I thought Molly had been in El Paso forever and that Kathy was newly planted there and it’s the opposite! What a great (retold) story of your lives! Thank you!
Great video!! Yes, I went to your Community page and was able to print the cookie recipe and the DMC labels. Thank you very much! Great content and so much good knowledge I learned today! Happy stitching!!❤
Molly I could listen to you all day long I love your accent and the way you describe what and why you’re working on each project. Your facial expressions are priceless especially when Kathy is describing her work. I love both of you ladies!!
Another GREAT video!!! Laughing with you while you talked about the cookie recipe! It sounds alot like the Ranger Cookies I used to make. The dough is SOOOO GOOD. I know raw dough is a no no, but I certainly ate more than my share back in the day! Thank you both!
I just love the blue-green colored fabric Cathy chose for her one sampler. It's going to be so gorgeous and I can't wait to see her progress. And who among us hasn't thought we've finished stitching a piece only to find we've missing a section? I'm glad it was caught before it wad FFO'd!
I didn't know your stories. How fun to find each other just by moving to El Paso! As everyone has said...sure wish we were neighbors...wouldn't that be a fun neighborhood! Happy Stitching!
Hi Molly and Kathy. Great show. Thank you for the cookie recipe! I too did a search and there were many many best cookie recipes so glad to get yours. Will be giving them a try Thankjeanne
I love listening to your stories!! My sewing stories are similiar! I started out making Barbie clothes and my school Girl Scouts sold them at our Christmas bazaar! I think 25 cents a piece. I cross stitched when my girls were young in the early 1980s. I quilted back then too and divorced in the late 80s and then I went to work full time in 1990. All my crafts except knitting were put on hold until I retired in 2020. Now I try to sew on a quilt and cross stitch every day!! I have enough of each that I could never sleep again and if I lived to be 100 I would never be done!! I’m currently almost 71!! Let’s keep sewing ladies😍
Molly, so happy to see all of your lovely work on aida. I am an aida stitcher and will share that I was at a stitchy day at my LNS and someone aida-shamed me. She made such a a completely rude comment about stitching on aida in such a disrespectful tone. I was so hurt and discouraged😢 I stitch on aida because it's easy for me to see and now I can get beautiful over dyed aidas. Also it is a pleasure for me which is what my hobby should be❤
Hi there! It’s Kathy. I know I can speak for the both of us.. we are so sorry this has happened to you. Everyone needs to stitch on the fabric that they enjoy. It’s a hobby, a love, a soul mender, a form of relaxation to name a few.. you keep your chin high and enjoy every stitch on your Aida. Never mind the rude comments. You go girl!!!!
Once again listening and watching the pair of you as I do my Physio …. you kept me so engaged that I did an extra ten minutes on the bike 😎 Thank you for sharing your ‘beginnings’ as I was late to the party. How lucky to have found a stitching buddy right next door! Your projects are all inspiring, as is your friendship. Many thanks!
Kathy and Molly, you are both so fun to watch!! I recently found your flosstube and have subscribed!!!❤️Thank you for sharing your background of how you met! I truly believe that God brought you together for a reason! You remind me of me and my bestie. We are both crafters…card makers, scrapbookers etc. I got back into cross stitching about 2 years ago. Taught myself in my teens. Things have really changed since the early years!! But I love it!! 🩷 Thsnks for sharing your tips and your love of cross stitch with all of us!!! 😊❤️🦋
Great video again! Thanks so much for sharing your story about meeting each other, I don’t think I’d heard it before. How fun being neighbors! Have a great holiday weekend! I know you will be at 10,000 subscribers real soon!
Kathie - I will do those cookies for my embroidery meeting. We meet every month from Sep to June and we have a break with tea and sweets. We take turns making dessert. Molly get magnification for the linen and you will be fine. And that wall of your look fabulous. How terrible for Birgit's granddaughter. All good wishes for a successful outcome to whatever the doctors come up with as a solution. I also hope that it will not impede her future life in a negative way.
Kathy I love your smile and Molly your facial expressions are so entertaining. I can say you two are my favorite. I’m a recent widow and mostly stay at home by choice and you two ladies are my new friends. ❤
So nice to see you both. Your videos are always a delight. I love the variety in your content. Molly thank you so very much for the cookie recipe. I will make these soon. Kathy, thank you for sharing the needle holders, definitely will be ordering a few of these. Happy Stitching! Hope you get some cookies Kathy and some Dilly bread for Molly!!!
You two just make my day!!! I love listening to you. I feel like I am there with you! You two are helping me get through the last week of school (I teach middle school and the kids are crazy! But I love them.) Thank you for sharing with us!!!
I'm so glad you told your story, cause I thought Molly have lived there for years and Kathy moved there jus few years ago. Lol You girls make my day. I wish I had a neighbor like you guys , so funny.
Oh that poor little girl! 🙏🏻😭 I will keep her in my prayers! Let us know how she fares, please! Always a pleasure visiting with you ladies and seeing what you’re up to! ✂️🪡🧵😊❤️
Always good content Molly and Kathy. I’ve definitely taken advantage of many of the products you’ve shown. Yes coffee! Always coffee ☕️! I remember coffee nips didn’t realize they were so hard to find. I’ve gone to a brand that isn’t hard candy but still a wonderful coffee flavor called dark chocolate espresso beans chocolate moonshine illegally good co. They make other flavors too!
Thank you 🙏 Ladies for sharing your beautiful work 🤩 and stories. Both of you are a blessing to the creative community . I learned so much from your videos . I pray 🙏 both of you continue this journey. Many blessings to you both 🙏✌️🤗.
Thank you for all your knowledge and wonderful stories! I love your flosstubes because Kathy, I too am from Wauwstosa, Wisconsin (Milwaukee county) and we moved to Georgia 6 years ago for my husband's job. There are no Cross stitch shops in GA, and just happened to find flosstube a year ago. Love Molly and Kathy's love of all crafts/hobbies. Well done and enjoy your fun stories. I had no idea about community page- always learning something new from you gal's. Yes, I printed off the cookie recipe ☺️🥰
Awww! Thank you! Its was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. I thank heaven I had my stitching to get me through the rough spots. And they still come.
Yall are so lucky to have each other, eespecially as neighbors!! Molly, didnt know you were a fellow Louisiana resident, once upon a time, Im still here!! And im a paper crafter as well! Gee wiz, yall are such enablers, now i have to have those thread bobbins!! Thanks for showing us your traveling stitches, i sure do that too! And yall are going to The Attic!! Can i be your neighbor??? Molly your cards are beautiful!!! Thanks for the sweet video gals!!❤
I love you girls and your videos so much! I just got faith of the Heart so count me in on that stitch along, such a cute pattern! Lee Wards was my first craft store, so many memories! I miss Coffee Nips too! They were my favorite along with Licorice Nips that went away a long time ago! Love your friendship with each other and the way you kid and joke around! Love how you share your faith and the power of prayer! ❤❤ Lori Rabell
I was so happy to stitch while watching this great episode ❤ don’t worry about staying on “subject”. I love listening to all your stories and adventures.
I loved the coffee and licorice nibs. They usdto be carried by Candyrama in downtown Pirrsburgh. I love the Brenda Gervais piece and my have to track it down.
I so enjoy listening to you two chat! Cross stitching truly mends my soul, I can literally feel the anxiety lift the moment I make that first stitch! Molly, your cards are beautiful! You two are so incredibly talented, thank you for sharing your tips and tricks and for inspiring me💖✨
Y’all kept me company while stitching today. I’m going to try that cookie recipe. Molly I’ve been a Louisiana gal from birth. Thanks for sharing your crafts. Praying for the little girl.🙏
It was so nice to start my day with you two … I think y’all are so wonderful and I love your stories … your works are beautiful … until next time ❤ Dena
I enjoyed the hour with you while doing some stitching. I feel I am becoming more of a monogamous stitcher to get something finished. We'll see how that works out.
I just found your Flosstube a couple of weeks ago and have been binge watching all of your videos! Love that you both try new crafts. It's always fun to dabble and learn something new. I myself dabble in a few different hobbies like crochet, quilting, cross stitch, and diamond painting and a little bit of card making. I am trying to learn hardanger and knitting also, but have not mastered them yet so works in progress. I just wish there were more hours in the day to play.
I have only used the wax/thread conditioner with metallic thread. I do not worry about it as all my projects get washed. At the end of my stitching i wash them and the fully finish.
Love your Stitchy wall, so inspiring. Thanks for another great video, I really enjoy seeing you both. Molly, please tour your wonderful craft room. 😉Have a beautiful day.
I have used thread conditioner. I was taught to use it when hand stitching my binding on my quilts. It was said that it makes your thread stronger and keeps it longer. I did get the cookie recipe! Yay! Ty ❤️ prayers for the grand baby of Briget.
Another fun video. When I have a Finished Stitched piece, I take a photo and Proof-Stitch it, and sometimes find a missing 2nd leg or a stitch omitted. I wrap my parked thread around my needle minder, but I like this bobbin style one, that will be much easier to wrap, TY. They are Linnie & Roberta. Can't wait to try Miss Crescent's Crowne hand-dyed fabrics. Sending Prayers up 🙏. I use 100% beeswax on metallics, and for threads I frog & need to straighten out. I will check out the Community Page.
Ohhh you are sooo right! Must proof stitch! I’ve found a couple misses by doing that. Once while framing my piece!!! Uggggg all those pins had to come out! Thanks for all your tips!!!
Oh my goodness! What a great day to wake up and see you lovely ladies!! Y'all are beautiful. You will never know the joy you bring this semi shut in. Please keep em coming!!
Sorry I am so "chatty" this morning, but I just mentioned I am semi home bound and I saw this pattern about the low hanging branches. I am in for the stitch along. I have just finished Love Never Fails and was trying to pick my next project. Thanks for helping me pick.
@djbquilts6764 I don't think she said yet. She mentioned a viewer Wendy, Molly said she was going to Instagram her. I started mine that day, I am working the 4 bands across first. Please join me if you like. I only work on 1 thing at a time, if I didn't, I am afraid I would never finish anything.
I agree completely with you about the wax. If I need control of a thread, I do what Jean Farrish has taught. I dampen a little piece of sponge and gently run the thread over it. Don’t get it wet in case it’s not color set. I loved Calico, Canvas and Colors shop!
I was doing floss drops with colored stickers and then I heard Molly say why bother with colors you have the thread talk about an aha moment out of the mouths of babes.
So great to visit with you again. Prayers for Birgit and her grand daughter. Kathy, could you please provide the information about the clear plastic tags for the Weeks threads. Thanks 🌷
I just love watching your videos, and listening to the chit-chat! You are both so talented, and fun to be with! Molly, try the linen, you will love it! I am sure that Kathy will help you get going. Glad that you have your mojo back Kathy! I will pray for Birgit’s granddaughter, such a terrible accident!
I have found that damping the thread and letting it dry does the same thing as wax with ou coating the thread. I always do it with rayon thread like Marriott.
Yes, the sayings. That is the major way I decide what sampler chart to buy and stitch. Prayers being offered up for the child and all her family.
A saying on a sampler has actually made me stitch the sampler… love verses!
I enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing how you first met and your love of cross stitch and crafts.
You are so welcome!🤗!!
You ladies are a hoot. I love watching you and I always pick up little tips and tricks. When you mentioned sayings can draw us to a certain chart, I totally agree. Do you know the name they are using for the stitch along…I would like to join too…I just tracked down a pattern…

I agree completely with you about the wax. If I need control of a thread, I do what Jean Farrish has taught. I dampen a little piece of sponge and gently run the thread over it. Don’t get it wet in case it’s not color set. I loved Calico, Canvas and Colors shop!
I worked there a very long time! I’m sure we met at some point!!!
Thanks for sharing. ❤ Love you both.
Our pleasure!
It’s pee-own-nee ‘round here! 😆 I love to see my neighbors from afar.
My grandmother raised them and called them piney rose
Sooo different in other locations of the US!
I was doing floss drops with colored stickers and then I heard Molly say why bother with colors you have the thread talk about an aha moment out of the mouths of babes.
I know! Stitching community lite up!!!

I’m sooo very happy! Funny how it makes you feel!
Love your video, stitching, and all of the information you share… card making paper crafting too.. I also enjoy card making. .
Wonderful! Thank you!!
I’m so glad you love the linens!!! It was my pleasure ❤
Aww Sharon! They are beautiful! And will be perfect for that sampler. Heading to the Attic soon! I’ll be looking for your linens! Hugs!!!
❤diversity of stitching
So good to see you both
❤❤❤
I’m going to steal that Molly, “at the bottom of the rabbit hole “
I have found that damping the thread and letting it dry does the same thing as wax with ou coating the thread. I always do it with rayon thread like Marriott.
Ahhh great idea!!!
Another awesome video!! Thank you!!
You are so welcome!
I am team travel when it comes to thread on the back!
Maybe Mollys twin???? :)
💝💝💝
Roberta!!!
I think you two should come to The library stitches Retreat 2025!
That would be soooo fun!!!
Molly, Lmbo 😂😂 “how you do’in” girl you crack me up!
