@@regretevatorr I'm sure there are breeds out there that do not like to be fully submerged but most enjoy a nice dip
I know of one snake who did not like water at all. The water dish had to be extremely shallow in order for him to drink.

I used to go in the bath together with my snake. Just used to soak together and he'd swim off around me and then come back to rest on me. Afterwards, we'd dry off in our towels and watch a movie. He'd flick his tongue whilst watching the TV. They are very inquisitive and, depending on the breed, like a bit of soaking.

Soap kills all sorts of bugs. Even wasps. Bugs suffocate when drenched in soapy water.
Unfortunately, I don't know how effectively it kills bugs. Like how fast bugs die from soap.

I use to have a ball python and he was the the most mellow abs calm snake ever. I swear he knew who I was and would cuddle up under my shirt while I was watching tv, lol. There was no way I could’ve ever just dropped him off outside somewhere. Once domesticated they rely on you for everything, I think he would’ve gone and curled up somewhere and eventually died.

It looks to me like you might be removing these ticks incorrectly. The way you're pulling them can leave their heads imbedded in the wound. They make neat little tick removers that straddle the ticks head, you twist, and they come out. That might be something you'd be interested in looking into.

    • @DGneoseeker1

Maybe it matters less on a snake since it'll molt anyway and the head would come off with the skin? How far do they burrow in?

In the middle of the fall up in VA, I found a dumped Russian tortoise by a lake. The poor thing was dehydrated during freezing. Took her to an exotic vet and thankfully the guy that was there was specifically a herp doctor and also had a whole reptile room in his house and said he’d take her in. It’s heartbreaking what people will do to these wonderful pets when they don’t want them anymore.
