1. What train is Emily based on?
2. Why don’t diesels have side rods?

Emily is based on a Great Northern Railway (GNR) 1003 class Stirling Single 4-2-2, and some diesels don't have side rods, they only have truck designs with 4 or 6 wheels on each truck
